Great speech. Judiciary is slowly and gradually getting out of reach for common and marginalized people. Only way out is when judiciary makes an endeavor to provide easy financially viable access to common masses and I think it is possible with the help of technology.
What Supreme Court can do when important Commission - day Shah Commission of Enquiry.Simply dumped - burried by culprits party,- for saving their leader/her heirs & also by the present one who thumps his 56" chest size- without addressing the representing info by the affected person who has to undergo for no fault - without any RELIEF. I want to see the present Chief Justice - what he can do against Political stalwarts - who fail to reply & address the issues raised..,by simply silent and indifferent. How the Captain of the Supreme Court address for ACTION. = I, the 78 year old citizen -humble enough to understand,++
While CJI gives his beautiful presentation, PM of our country is almost bored. All courts have to follow the advice given by CJI in right spirit and render yeomen service to the nation.

What president madam said on constitution of India day should be a word of lesson to home minister of each state and judges to speedup disposal of cases by adopting all possible manpower, technology, writing laws in all indian language in simple manner without using technical words, creating new specialised courts without wasting a single minute.
THE GOVT, CJI, SC & CEC MUST FIX ELIGIBILITY CRETERIAS FOR CANDIDATES FIGHTING ASSEMBLY, PARLIAMENT, PANCHAYATS, MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS,BOARDS & ANY OTHER ORGANISATIONS WHERE GOVT FINANCE IS INVOLVED. THIS IS NECESSARY TO IMPROVE GOVERNANCE & CURB POLITICAL CORRUPTION. PRESENTLY THE REPRESENTATIVES ARE FULLY BASIC QUALIFICATION TO BECOME MEMBER OF ASSEMBLY, PARLIAMENT & ANY OTHER GOVT ORGANISATIONS. ALTHOUGH THIS FACT IS WELL KNOWN TO ALL FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. BUT NO ACTION IS TAKEN BY GOVT, SC, CEC TO PLUG THE LOOPHOLES TO CLEANSE POLITICAL SYSTEM OF OUR COUNTRY EVEN AFTER LAPSE OF 75 YEARS WHICH IS MATTER OF GRAVE CONCERN WHICH NEEDS PROMPT ACTION BY THREE PILLARS OF DEMOCRACY.

Goons are having other income source is land grabbing either government or private. Other sources is helping or constructing multi storey juggies on foot path etc...and giving on rent. They get hafta for providing safety to people doing illegal businesses. They provide security guards to societies because of muscle power. Etc........huge list......

After the speech from the Hon'ble President SC has been sensitive to the concern of the underpriveleged and those facing atrocities. The Hon'ble CJI is sure to act expeditiously. let advocates volunteer . The magistrates and Judicial Magistrates ought to look into the cause. further, its true even if given bail their social status and respect are reduced to a level making returning to society impossible. Earlier the jails besides being reformatory used to give some training to prisoners to earn their living. Reforms ought to enable them to return to society and lead a normal life.They will be barredfrom employment. Let them be employed in govt. on contract as we privatise work . This will help reformed to continue as responsible citizens .Infact they can help local police to identify the wronged and innocent from the guilty

India needs action, not empty words. Just simple things: More working days and hours, speedy disposal of pendency, affordable justice, help desks for guiding the poor, less bureaucracy and procedural formalities.
The President of India should not appointment any more SC judges.
This is illegal.

It's insightful full and timely speech by honourable CJI. Judiciary to reach out to all ,rather than they reaching courts which is the most important dimension as emphasised by revered CJI. Pragmatic approach while meeting the aspirations and needs of all ,is paramount which demand justice system tobe based On ground realities, rather than rigidly sticking to constitutional provisions as the only panacea and nothing else.

Great Speech but it will be there in paper and speech only but in grass root level implementation is very difficult.
Mostly all lawyers and judges run after money. & who is having money they only wins cases mostly. Getting justice for a common man is difficult now a days.

Judicial system will improve as soon as punishments are given to judges for their mistakes as are awarded to executives. A machinery should be evolved to review judgment being declared to avoid appeal. Thus no dissents should be allowed in judgments.
Why do you need to be called my lord? Is it social justice. They sit on the high chair in the ivory tower and give grandiose speeches about social justice!

I agree in disagreeing with CJI on colonial bias over religious freedom for the marginalused.
I am surprised that he had completely forgotten that it was "eurpoean seculaisim " that was forced up on us and other marginalised.
The religious freedom has been completely tinketed the Article 25 & 26 of the constitution.

Sir, a senior citizen is facing this issue, namely, that the lawyer appointed does not prepare written statement for client's perusal. All fees are asked for in advance by lawyer and paid by client. Lawyer asked client to sign blank vakalatnama and blank sheet of paper for written statement to be prepared and submitted by her. Lawyer is dragging in preparing a written statement. Changing lawyer is not a solution as this could repeat. What can be done? Thank you. Jai Hind.

CJI's idea would be better. It should happen phasewise..
Still, the poor people and rural most people are the worst victims.
Courts haven't to reach out to people.
They have to show sympathy with the people.
SC can suggest to Govt to create a parallel people's Court system weaved around Panchayats so that pretty crimes, disputes can be solved at village levels.
In India 50 lac crimes are recorded yearly.
That's what Crimes records bureau tells us.
So additional resources have to be garnered. 🙏

Very very petty cases which can be settled in six months to one year settled very long time like ten to twelve years by courts. why?

CJI just clinging to past and bluntly ignoring the judicial/ Supreme court delays, injustice to public as a result. India Supreme, high court Judges appointment process it self flawed fundamentally. Has not reformed for past 50+ years. Judges using activist views, own interpretations is wrong. Supreme court is one of the power center it is not govt. it has no business in making laws, using it’s power to indirectly bind /tie elected govts.
We saw this AP high court rulings, self appointment of judges in collegium govt proposal stuck down. India is huge country. 5 biased, activist should have no business in appointing supreme court judges and advance nepotism, in-efficiency, activism.
It is high time process needs cleansing.

Let judges talk less and usefully work. Of late, they sermon more. The work done is not upto the mark expected. Look back to 1950 to 1985, the judgments are of high quality. ALL INDIA REPORTS ran to a few hundred pages and every judgment attracts the reader. Presently, the Supreme Court cases run to 20 volumes and sorry to state, they are not worth reading. Unreasoned and non reportable cases occupy the space. Many trees are cut to print the unreadable.
The problem is with the legal fraternity as well. They do not accept cases worth presenting in courts. Every cause not worth filing are dumped. The Government filing fake cases and escaping the costs, all join the queue. Hope the situation is redeemed faster
