- Swapping out the lens/cluster in my car. Lens was cracked and the plastic had deteriorated. Found a replacement on ebay that was from a 2010 model, which is slightly different. I had hoped to swap them out and use the 2010 cluster which looked better, but unfortunately there are things inside the cluster which are different and so I could not swap them out. I settled and took the lens. You can use the same procedure to replace the lens in any 1st gen Versa cluster

Hi again!! I asked you (long ago) how to remove the entire upper dash XD at 3:06 you are doing exactly what I want to. Do you know how to remove the right side vent? once you do it, the dash comes right off as far as I know.

Do you have a link for the cluster lens on ebay? I can't seem to find a model for my versa 2010. I have some nasty gunk on it i can't remove.

The backlight illuminating the digits of my speedometer died. At night, I do not know at which speed i am going. Many people say that I have to replace the whole gauge cluster of my Versa. Do you have an alternative solution ?
The bulbs in the cluster are soldered in so yes, you're better off replacing the whole cluster. Keep in mind that the mileage is stored in the cluster so you will not have the same thing on your odometer when you swap it out. Try to find a new one with similar mileage.

If the clister you put in in from the same year they will swap, you just cant swap between the 06-08 and the 09-12
I have a 2011 Nissan versa. It looks almost the same as yours. how do I replace a bulb on the instrument cluster instead of the whole thing?
unfortunately, the bulbs are all soldered in, so they are not easily replaceable.
some person did something with airbag light in this car. I need to replace bulb too or disassemble the panel to see what is going on inside. Computer codes are good.

Yea man it's the same way on the Sentra you can't swap the 07-09 with the 10-12 a lot of the Sentra guys hate it. Why does Nissan have to be so difficult haha

Why exactly won't clusters fit? They don't line up? Harnesses are different?
broncoramfan either the harnesses are slightly different OR the newer cluster use slightly different input signals. The cluster will plug in and power on but most of the functions won’t work. The one I tried to install also had a ton of warning lights on but that was most likely because it came from a wrecked car.
@@athikerguy4life so you mounted it , plugged it in, took it for drive n noticed nothing registered correctly? I wonder if finding out schematics to both n rewiring it to work in older versa would work. Thanks for answering questions
