Nice! I picked up a M3 Air with the 24GB of RAM on Saturday. I enjoy it quite a bit, it might replace my desktop if I can find the right docking station in the future.
Nice, congrats! I bought a Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Dock Pro to use with this one, it was $135 on Amazon. Thunderbolt 4 and 5 docks are still too expensive for little benefit imo
My 16-inch M1 Pro MacBook Pro isn't showing its age by any means, but I'll admit that I kind of want to upgrade to a 16-inch M4 Pro model. That Space Black colorway just makes it even more tempting.
Apple Silicon is aging super well. I would’ve just kept my M1 Pro 14” but unfortunately I made the mistake of ordering it with too little storage, which doesn’t work for me as a main computer. Plus like you said I really like the new space black, and of course the impressive performance of the M4 chips!
Interesting, so for generic use without a very specific use case I leaned into the M4 Pro w. 48Gb/2Tb for exactly that price … it seemed to obviously lose out a little on GPU, but my workloads aren't GPU heavy particularly. Both the standard and nano-texture display of this were available from stock at all the stores within travelling distance for immediate pickup. Seemed a good mid-range model choice in 14" for general use …
Yeah that config is not a bad choice at all. I'm not gonna lie I didn't even know that was a standard option lol. Either way, I don't mind having the extra GPU power over more storage as I don't need 2TB, but I would have said yes to 48GB RAM. Oh well, 36GB is more than enough for my usage
Nice!! I bought a new '24 14" M3 earlier this year - I was going to make a video like this, but I didn't want to deal with the comments - actually, half the content I create is scrapped before editing because I don't want to deal with the comments. Enjoy the new M4!!
Yooo what’s up Brandon? Long time no see! I loved your videos as a kid. I completely understand sometimes lol. I usually just ignore the stupid comments, though it seems most of the ones I get these days are nice. Thank you, so far I am loving this machine!
@ You made the right choice!! Just be careful around the screen - I have replaced about a dozen screens on these units since September. They’re more fragile than you’d ever imagine!
The binned chip is the smaller one. The unbinned chip is the bigger one. For example: - Binned: M4 Pro with 12-core CPU and 16-core GPU. - Unbinned: M4 Pro with 14-core CPU and 20-core GPU. - Binned: M4 Max with 14-core CPU and 32-core GPU. - Unbinned: M4 Max with 16-core CPU and 40-core GPU.
Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Dock Pro. $140 on Amazon. The TB4 and 5 docks are still too expensive imo, and I don’t have anything that could even take advantage of the extra speed
Yea when putting that little note in I debated between putting 1:40 or 3:07, but I figured y'all would want to know about the configuration I chose. An extra 80 seconds isn't gonna kill ya
I was so confused man when I saw this in my sub box🤣 personally I love the 14” model. Sometimes I wish I had a bigger screen, until I see the footprint of the 16”. I had a 15” rMBP in high school, the screen was nice but big ish footprint wise. Dropped down to another 13” for a year or 2, when the 2021 refresh came out I seriously debated size but same as you, 3 years in I love the size man. Congrats again!
Haha I figured you would be 😂 I completely agree man, it didn't take long of me using the 16" to realize I made a mistake. It's just a bit too big. Now that you mention it, I remember subconsciously denying the same thing when I was using my 15" rMBP in high school. Though back then the 13" was seriously gimped in comparison to the 15", which absolutely is not the case anymore. The choice was easy, I love the 14" size and doubt I'll ever stray from it again!
@ yeah man, once you’ve had a couple MacBooks, you kinda start to have preferences LOL. The 14” is one of the best products Apple has made in a while, as you said not inferior to the 16” performance wise(give or take a little)
@@neob9017 Completely agree, I love them. I'm sure the performance of this Max chip does a little bit better in the 16" due to physics and all that but I'm sure it's not enough of a difference to really matter to me. I guess time will tell but so far it's been good!
Another day, another MacBook!
Pretty much LOL

@@bbishoppcm Yeah I'm careful with it don't worry lol
How do I know if my m4 is binned ? What makes it binned ?
The binned chip is the smaller one.
The unbinned chip is the bigger one.
For example:
- Binned: M4 Pro with 12-core CPU and 16-core GPU.
- Unbinned: M4 Pro with 14-core CPU and 20-core GPU.
- Binned: M4 Max with 14-core CPU and 32-core GPU.

How many MacBooks you’ve owned? Good vid bro. 😎
Looking forward for more of your 6/6 Accord Vids.
Quite a few over the years lol
Love the Flossy reference lol
He’s an OG I had to
Got one custom configuration and my anxiety is paying the price. :)
Yeah haha I usually custom order MBPs too but this time I didn’t wanna wait lol
Wake up babe, there's a new Dell0304 video
understandable, although I love my 16-inch, I can understand that it is a bit much for some people.
Yeah it’s really just personal preference at the end of the day
Hi Ryan
Wassup Sam my slime
3:07 unboxing right here

@accordinglyryan you can have that debate while unboxing uniformly
@@anees888 What does that even mean lol
