The idea on the outside is that someone (who isn’t garbage) can scan the AirTag and it will give them your entered contact information so they can get ahold of you to let you know they found your lost item.
I bought an airtag for my father who is slowly forgetting things due to cancer.I bought a bracelet accessories so he can wear the airtag and track him. Our fear is that he may wander around the neighborhood and forget how to get back home.
Last year arriving back from the Caribbean we waited & waited for my husband’s checked bag to come on the carousel. Eventually we checked his phone to see where the Air Tag said it was…..still in the Caribbean airport. We got it back a couple of days later.
I’ve never lost my iPhone I’ve never lost my AirPods. I’ve never lost my Apple Watch or iPad and yet I still own six AirTags I have bought more than 18 of them most as gifts
I bought a few of these for my pet. Got a nice collar to hold it because this seemed like a great way to avoid loosing him if he slips out of the house again, I had a pretty bad scare the other day when he went missing all night during a storm. However so far I find the tracking to be extremely poor. It doesn’t matter how close I am, the signal is always weak. I’ve updated my phones OS and connected the device properly, on top of turning on all necessary tracking options in the settings app. When it picks up the signal it tracks great, down to the inch, but finding that connection is pretty rare. I’m not sure how useful this will be if he goes missing because I’m not sure it’ll even connect if he’s more than 15 feet away from me. God forbid if he’s moving. Even when it does connect and I can track, the second the device starts to move it drops off. I put it in my toddlers pocket and let her run around to test it and I couldn’t track her even when she was right in front of me. Moving devices might as well be offline entirely. I bought a 4 pack so I just spent $90 and frankly I’m not too happy at the moment.
Don’t use AirTags for pets. AirTags rely on a network of iPhones to be discoverable. Of course not so many people walk around during a storm nearby your cat. Get a GPS tracker, google a proper way to track your pet. AirTags work best for lost things. Not so good for stolen things. And totally not good for anything on the move.
I agree. People have gone gaga on Air Tags (just because???) and putting them on everything!. But putting an Air Tag on the 'exterior' of your luggage...What's the point? It ain't gonna be there when your suitcase appears on the belt.
I have one on my keys, my eyeglass case and a small medical device. The tags save my sorry butt about a half-dozen times a year when I misplace my stuff around the house🔑👓😮💨
Don’t leave it on the outside of the luggage. Put it inside the bag.

@@kcbc9037someone can stole it too
@@kcbc9037I don’t think AirTags do that…
@@justdontworrybehappyit does I have one
@@justdontworrybehappythey do….
Suggestion, NOT to leave exposed on luggage etc…. If some one steals it they will remove tag
I don’t understand the logic of making a tracking device visible to the naked eye I would put those things in places you won’t expect to look

I would implant one in my head
Does it work well? Do you think it will work with kids too in case they wander off or get lost?
@@izyanamin9388not meant for human tracking so no
I have one... And I'm really disappointed is not as all youtuber says... Sadly...
@@izyanamin9388he passed away even before he could use it tho 😢

For me it’s insurance, I try not to lose my items, but if I do it’s my backup plan. I got them on my keys and wallet
Do i just place them anywhere in the luggage?
Do you charge them
I dont lose things, but my wife does. I was 1.5hrs late to work today bc I had to give her my keys & car, while I searched for her keys.

If the airline loses the luggage, having the location on the Find My can help them find and return it quicker.
