At this current moment, you can’t really argue that Clemson has the best resume in cfb. After comfortable wins against unranked teams, back to back wins against ranked teams
Just had this argument with someone because I said clemson should undoubtedly be ahead of Michigan and possibly higher.
Those two programs are Wake Forest and NC State. Those teams are only ranked because the ACC is so weak so they finished last year with good records.
Neither school has a ton of takent
Not saying they aren’t good, but there are teams with more impressive Ws that have looked better

@@lukelilly1572 talent isn't the only thing in CFB. both teams have veterans and great coaching. Well trained players will almost always beat pure talent from recruiting at younger ages. Those teams are legit and could beat most teams on a good day

As a state fan, Clemson is stacked even with so many people out. I think Clemson's DL was the key to this game. We couldn't get the running game going and it made us one dimensional. If that int wasn't thrown, who knows what would have happened. Can't turn the ball over against a good a team as Clemson at home--small miscue. WR has to sit down and not slide inside and face the QB. And then a fumbled snap on 4th down in the 4th on a key drive. Can't do that. Respect to Clemson and go pack! great game!
I agree. NC State played hard and they got a great defense. Our rb was having a difficult time against it. So no shame. Keep head up and keep moving forward. Respect to State and go Tigers..
Well Clemson did miss a sure pick six , a dropped sure TD and a overthrown sure TD.
This game could have easily been 52-13 type game
At the start of this game, I was pretty sure that whoever won the turnover margin was going to win and that was how it turned out. NCS is a class act and your guys gave us all we could handle. I look forward to next year's rematch!

Refs tried to help NCState as much as possible. The targeting call against Clemson was BS and the roughing the passer with about 2 minutes left was really BS.
That was absolutely targeting. He lowered his head a lead with his helmet. Clemson was gifted a pass interference call that definitely wasn’t pass interference. You’re watching the game through an orange lens.

I agree that the refs missed some calls but I am happy with the progress of the Tigers. In the past years it's when we get better each week that we reach out goals. There are a few teams that I would not want to play right now, but by the end of the season we will be able to play with them all. Great win for the team and coaches.

I mean nc state is ranked 82nd for total offense and only averaged 36 Ppg going into this, which isn’t very impressive considering their strength of schedule going into this game. Nc state shouldn’t have been ranked nearly as high as they were

Clemson and Ohio State are the only two teams of the top 5 that have not had a close game against an unranked opponent. It's time we consider Clemson worthy of their rank. Honestly, at this moment they deserve to be ranked 4 at the VERY least.
They deserve to be ranked #1, but the powers that be won't have it. They went so far as to rank Kentucky #7 and Utah #12 (whom Florida beat) to inflate the "perception" of the SEC and validate having Alabama and Georgia in front of the Tigers. 😂

Crazy how Clemson has I believe 37 consecutive wins at home and now tied in ACC w/ Florida State. In 2 weeks they play Florida state but Clemson away. That would’ve been a great game in terms of Clemson potential setting new record.

of a young Deshaun Watson. For him to be able to run effectively and find guys like Biringstoole plus Shipley that to was kind of cool.
My NC State fans im sure this loss was a tough one but hey this was a big divison opponent we played and truth is we just have to play better.
The snap is something Id like to forget about for Wolfpack but it happened so nothing we can do.

They need to fix stats to where if the ball hits ur hands 🏈🙌🏽 in any catchable way and it ends up being picked off .. that interception needs to be on the WR and not the QB stats‼️ like Kenny Picketts 1st ever start vs the jets 2 outta 3 were in the chest and the WR messed up not the QB 🤦🏻♂️
Both defenses looked really stout. NC State just had to lean on their pass too much, and it showed. The rush just wasn’t there. The drop in rankings shouldn’t be huge, as this game was closer than the score reflected. But knowing how biased the AP Poll is we’ll be out of the top 20 for putting up a fight against one of the best football teams in the country because that’s just how they operate.

The officiating was so egregiously terrible…mostly in NC States favor. BS roughing calls, a phantom pass interference, the first targeting was totally questionable. Clemson should’ve won 30-6. Refs gifted NC state 14 points. Game wasn’t close. Clemson had a bunch of starters out and still owned the Wolf pups. Clemson is NC States big brother.

That wasn't roughing the passer at the end, negating an incredible INT that would've ended the game at 30-13. I think when QBs Flop like that, it should be called on them now as a form of cheating and then they should have to sit 2 quarters of the following game just like Targeting to set the precedent that this 💩 shouldn't be allowed in HS, Collegiate, or the Pro Level. I hate watching games where 💩 like that happens! Ruins the actual game for so many teams, & so many times they do it strictly for the Vegas Line. This game didn't matter at that point(unless you took CU big). However, I've reached a point where they need to start calling this flopping $hit!
