    What's up?!?!

  • @Staminist-MMF-80
    @Staminist-MMF-80 5 років тому +1

    Some people don't get it - Dime had his sound in his playing, his motor skills, muscle memory - he's finger style. He would make any amp or guitar shine. Yes, he had his preferred gigging/studio setup but he wasn't too shy on changing/adding to it.
    A great example how he played from his heart, is on the Vulgar Videos, when he walks through town with a "pignose" amp on his pocket and jams with a homeless street artist. He made even that strange situation onto a gem! One in a million, definitely!

    • @richardaaron4454
      @richardaaron4454 5 років тому +1

      My friend Marcus who is a guitar tech, was with one of the bands he was a tech for and got to meet Dimebag and said he was the nicest guy he'd ever met. He said he'd come onto everyone's tour bus and give everyone alcoholic beverages and wanted to know everyone's story (like their life story) including the techs/roadies. He was a really good person and liked to get to know people. I know this doesn't have much to do with your comment other than the story about the homeless dude you mentioned but I thought about what my friend told me about Dimebag nonetheless.

      @@richardaaron4454 I heard such stories about Dime too! He was a goofy dude but down to earth, never played the 'rockstar' card, loved the fans, loved the people in general and Music!
      I am blessed that I could see Pantera in 1998. with Ozzfest and all I'm gonna say is - that gig was in the top three gigs of my life! I was standing literally in front of him and he was playing like a madman, you saw the little kid in him :) Unforgettable! But never got to meet him... lots of us.. :/

    Quilter makes good solid state amps. Other solid state options include combining a KSR Ceres or a Mooer GE200 with a SD 170. Since I’m saving up atm and sold some gear, I mainly use a Randall RG150. With the right EQ you can fix some stuff you don’t like about solid state but honestly it’s fine without. Just gotta use the right pickups and speakers.

  • @richardaaron4454
    @richardaaron4454 5 років тому

    Most important Pedal imo is a Volume Pedal but only if you have a nice “into amp” chain and Effects Loop chain. I say this because I put it last on my “into amp” chain and when you turn the volume down all the way down your Modulation/Delay Pedals in your Effects Chain will finish echoing/trailing and fade out nicely instead of cutting off abruptly. Also great for Reverse Delay swells.
    Anyway since Ola said Overdrive Pedal, I just got a new Overdrive Pedal a Maxon OD-820 and it’s big but sounds amazing! Check it out.
    I’d say other than that Delay and Reverb are the most important pedals if we are talking about Effects. You can’t have too many Delay and Reverb pedals...
    Here is a link to my unfinished Pedalboard if anyone wants to see what a psycho pedal junkie’s Pedalboard looks like. I am trying to get it all set up properly before putting the velcro on it and finalizing the placement of the pedals. I have an Avalanche Run and Data Corrupter that isn’t on the board because I don’t know what to take off to put them on or whether I should get a smaller Pedalboard for my “into amp” chain and just use this big one for my Effects Loop.

    OLA the guitar weleasererer. Here is my question for the next FAQ. Have you envisioned the improvements to your studio in your new house compared to the space you've been working in all these years? You've shown us the attic space, and you told us you are looking forward to moving the studio into it. You didn't really tell us what you are planning to do with it. Anything special? Any nice surprises we don't know about in terms of guitar or video gear? Or is there anything a greater amount of space would allow you to do more easily compared to current? Also will it have special security system to keep out stalkers like Jen Majura? Love your videos. Regards from the United States.

    Hello ola. The new gf2.6c is amazing! I love seeing great budget friendly guitars being offered. Any plans to offer options on the site? Like adding locking machine heads, single volume knob, and no tone. Basically a budget version of your custom g type model as far as the controls go. I don’t normally enjoy paying for things I’m going to end up taking out like tone knobs and extra volume knobs. That aside, the ability to upgrade the machine heads to locking would be fantastic. That is if the additional cost is just the difference between the two types.
    Thanks for the great content 👍🤜💥🤛🤘

    You average 10,000 subscribers a month. That's pretty awesome. Congratulations.
    Can I ask why only the limited run and 7 string are the only Evertune loaded ones?
    I want the guitar but, I also want that feature but am not looking for a 7 string. Are there plans for more? The "Ola" logo one was sold out fast. Thx
