I honestly wish I could have had this type of instruction or access to these videos when I was a kid coming up through Junior High/High School. Hit 74 as a 12 year old kid followed by 78-81 as a 13 year old, 80-83 at 14, 84-86 as a freshman in high school and I tore my elbow and had to get Tommy John missing my entire freshman year/sophomore years of high school, 84-89 my junior year, regressed senior year to 84-87. Follow that up to 5 years later at 23 when I vigorously did long toss to strengthen my arm (arm strength was never the issue) to where I could throw the ball 340 feet and could throw it on a line at about 275ft. That summer I sat 87-89 and topped at 91. I have always had an incredibly strong arm, whereas, I can throw as hard on flat ground as I can off a mound easily. I could never get my legs engaged and I was a drop and drive pitcher which was a complete waste of my 6'4" 220lb frame. My hip turn and finish were always very poor where I could never get the flat back and throwing hand to touch the dirt on follow through. I'm 27 now and I still get the desire to get back out there on the mound to try and master getting my leg drive and hips firing. Just pisses me off to think on what could have been if I had used my whole body and what velocities I could have achieved.

I am throwing uppper 60s with room to improve. Keep practicing, start lifting, continue to eat a surplus amount of calories, and you’ll be fine. Focus on your mechanics right now and make sure you are doing everything right. Velocity will come with strength and size. You’ll grow eventually

Look into buying Brent's program it will help you out. Ask your parents and save some money. But until then... eat a lot of calories from good foods. Squats, Bench, and Power Cleans. And number 1, is do mobility work. I was like you as a freshman, mid upper 70's then I started to workout but, neglected mobility. Now i only throw 80 as a senior. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Keep your torso in line in your delivery, the upper half and your head work together if your moving your head that means your pulling your torso instead of leading and separating your hips then finalize with your shoulders, everything else will stay aligned.

Don't listen to Henry Lennon CJ. My son is 12 years old and not throwing much harder than that. So yes you are doing well. When I played I didn't throw real hard, but I could hit my spots on command. In baseball it is not all about velocity. I mean it helps, but if you have velocity and no command then that speed is worthless. Keep it up kid and don't let people like Henry get to you.

There's many pros who don't throw a 93 mph and some don't throw a 4 seam at all so why would many people be concerned about throwing 95 plus. Learn and practice other pitches. Your 95mph plus fastball is still gonna get hit around in the pros regardless. If you can throw good off speed pitches even an 88 to 90 mph fastball will mess a hitter up.

It’s decent. The highest level 12 year olds probably sit around 70 - 75. Much of the velocity at that age is determined by how mature the kid is physically, though. I would guess that the hardest throwers at that age have already hit puberty. Often, early maturing hard throwers top out and are passed up in high school by late bloomers.
