    I am currently interested in a used model and so found your review, which is the best car review I have seen! Brilliantly balanced and comprehensive content, I now know all I need to know! You should have your own motoring programme TV series! Thank you 😊

    cracking review, had a chance to test drive the ST-Line model recently, very nice and auto was ok, but yes £45k was too steep a price.

      Seems the price has been one of the downfalls of the Edge

    I see dozens of these daily, they sell very well here in the US. I think it is a very good looking SUV. I myself purchased a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe SEL 2.4 and I'm super satisfied. Size wise very similar to the Edge for a few thousand less, X-lent gas mileage with many safety features standard. The 5 year bumper to bumper and the 10 year drive train warranty's sold me 'plus the overall styling inside and out' …...

      The Santa Fe offers so much for the tag, great choice 👌

    Great review, its actually one of the best ford cars to date, seeing as it is due to be discontinued would you suggest buying it or giving it a miss?

    Another thorough professional presentation.
    However, please do additional coverage of more popular cars, those that appeal to company car buyers, which I would imagine are your biggest market.

    Pricing is RIDICULOUS! Who would pay over £40,000 for a Ford.
    I’d rather put my £40,000 towards an Audi, BMW, Lexus etc. thanks.

    • @ruwn561
      @ruwn561 5 років тому +1

      Agreed. Or pay £12k less and look at the Peugeot 3008 or Seat etc.

      The very definition of a badge snob. There are affinity discounts available for this car which will knock off at least 20% when combined with Ford's discount, plus get metallic paint for free, which makes the price more palatable to those who qualify. Put gaffer tape over the badge, if you must, and dare I say you have a relative bargain quality high spec large vehicle that will be cheaper to run than most others with different badges

    • @jacobthompson8507
      @jacobthompson8507 5 років тому +3

      Huw Williams Not a badge snob whatsoever.
      The quality of a Ford Edge does not match the quality of a Audi Q5 or Lexus NX, whatsoever.
      If I’m paying £40,000 for a car, then I want a £40,000 car.
      I’m not wasting my money.
      You can get discounts on any other brand aswell, you can get thousands off any car when you haggle with the dealer.
      A Ford is not a premium car. So it should not have a premium price tag.

      The last Audi I have owned [for six years] was a Q7 and there was nothing special about its quality. It was average at best with dealers that were very much below average in the service integrity department. One of my current cars is a £60,000 Volvo which is OK but not so much 'better' in terms of quality than my £35,000 Honda C-RV. Badges make no impression on me whatsoever and I am not loyal to any brand, which is assessed purely on what they currently offer that is competitive in what it offers.
      Would I buy an Edge? Hell yes if I could add it to my fleet at the right price for what it offers.

      In Canada, we get it for 44k which is 26k British pounds

    Really surprised that it isn't a 7 seater. I mean how much research did ford need to do to understand the market and the competition

    • @rivervalegroup
      @rivervalegroup  5 років тому +2

      Maybe they need more seats in their research department 👍

      @@rivervalegroup I think Ford missed a trick. The new Kuga isn't much smaller than the Edge, ford should have relaunched the Explorer into the market with 7 seats at this price point.

    Not a good idea to review a car that's got no future, clicked off immediately.

      This one is sold in Australia and NZ. Though with the less powerful 140 kW (190 bhp) engine but in similar three grades (ironically Titanium is a top grade down under, something between ST Line and Vignale). Australian reviews are too superficial compared with this one.

    • @adha2913
      @adha2913 2 роки тому +1

      What does that even mean? No car has a future - manufacturers release a new model then 3 years later it'll get tweaked and be sold for another 3 years then it's end of life with parts supplied for max 15 years.
