A few points of clarification for those of you in the audience who want more information beyond the scope of the channel:
1 - Many questions financially about this. To be clear, cars are my passion and I’m an idiot - I spend a disproportionate amount of my income on cars. You may look at our channels and see low subscribers, you don’t make money off of subscribers. I upload frequently, nearly daily, and have long videos. We make money on watch time - I never intentionally make videos extremely long but the topics we cover naturally lead to longer videos which bring much higher income. In addition, we have extremely great sponsors who value our audience and the way we nerd out on the details, and we’ve been able to have great partnerships that go well beyond the typical basic UA-cam ad revenue. Also in full transparency, a few of the more expensive cars are financed which helped not having to shell out their full value but rather a small portion and then a monthly payment. Those that I’m intending to keep long term are fully owned, some of the ones that I plan to run for a year or two are financed, which i think made sense at old rates and maybe not today (also why I haven’t bought another expensive car recently). Nobody has helped pay for the cars, it’s just me, admittedly being an idiot.
2 - Anna and I are dating - Alyssa is a close friend. I know not everyone watches or checks on every video but I would really appreciate if those comments could calm down a bit. Thank you!

You aren’t an idiot. Your passion for cars is why people love your content. Even if your passion has you making some big car payments, so be it.
I've loved cars of all kinds since age eight so the "I am an idiot" reference to cars resonates with me. Personally, I don't think you need to own all these vehicles to generate content, but, I get it. And thank you for the clarification. All of us who love cars, often struggle with the issue of how to afford them and, on the surface, you were buying cars way above your pay grade. Dispelling the default explanation was very helpful. Thank you Kyle for all the great work you put into your channels.

Logically, it is none of my business, but emotionally I was invested with her being a major character in the story up to this point. We humans sure are weird. I would trade the Revel for a travel trailer, you have enough options to tow with and that would leave room for a sports car. I would also like to see content about 100% electric camping.

Bryan Hauer does the camping gig in a Model Y and it's a travelogue as well. Kyle would do a great job in real backroad / offroad camping and travel in the R1T and a rugged popup.
I was going to write the same thing. It would also be easy to live in while building out the ranch.

When you're passionate about stuff, the details just stick. I bet you have a favorite interest that you know a ton about. I have the same love of cars and store millions of details in my head about them. But things I have little interest in go in one ear and out the other.

Kyle don't spend more money on renting storage units, buy the land put up the metal building and later a house, this is the wise thing to do. The hub fell through because it was a big expensive mistake, you got lucky, Good luck always, give the dogs a hug for me, I miss seeing them.
I’ve had the same 2012 LEAF since 2017. It had 10 bars when I bought it and now 6 bars. So about 53% of original range. Just around town car now.
I also have a much loved 2012 LEAF. I want swap out the degraded battery, but so do thousands of others. I am keeping an eye out for maybe a used 2019 or 2020 LEAF to tide me over until I can afford a grown-up EV like an Ioniq 6 or Tesla M3.

My suggestion: Junk the suburban, sell the Winnebago, and sell something else like the smart car (there worth a bit now). Also go for the ranch option (with a barn) as it seems to be the smartest.

I’m actually shopping insurance as I just use a regular large company with no direct agent. I’d like to have an agent who can make sure all of the coverages etc are up to spec. Found an enthusiast locally and will likely switch everything over this month
@@KyleConner I have had the best luck with insurance rates using an independent agent. They typically look for the best rates and will help you improve your rate every year. I have found that large companies tend to inch your rates up every year until you complain, then they mysteriously offer a better rate. I don't care for that tactic at all. Btw I own an R1T because of you and your videos and so far I can echo your thoughts on it. However it is my first EV and I still don't fully trust it as much as my older IC vehicles, but it truly is an amazing vehicle and I am working on my EV trust issues.
The key to living your life is to do you. The biggest problem with social media is that people are anti-social and feel that they have a right to comment on how you live. You provide great information. Just because I don't agree with every opinion you make, doesn't mean I need to comment on them. Everyone has a right to their opinion. Ignore the negative comments, they will always happen.

53:00: I also have a 2019 Model 3 LR with PTC heater. As soon as I switch on the AC compressor, there is almost no heat coming out any more, even at MAX setting. The AC just cools down the warm air. Maybe that is the reason why these cars charge so fast, when they have a over-sized AC compressor. Maybe that is different with heat pump cars?
Addition: When the car was really new, I once drove in winter conditions (cold weather below 0°C) on the Autobahn at >200 km/h and my windshield freezed although I had MAX setting with AC off, fully put onto the windshield. So maybe the heater is just not that great? Your recent test showed that, too.

In fact, I actually just installed one in another 2012 LEAF last week. If you are ever headed to the San Diego area and want to trailer the LEAF down, we should be able to get it fixed up no problem!

I had Nissan LEAF 2017 as my first EV... great learning experience, fun to drive, great comfy seats... Then after two years traded up to Kia Niro EV 2019 due to some range anxiety. I would have kept LEAF but with yearly license tab fee and insurance payments, it didnt make sense to keep a car that I would only occasionally drive... With Niro EV, less range anxiety, but the front seats are bit uncomfortable/too hard on my back... still a great EV with enough range to get me around time and some short road trips...
If only they all did V2G. Your "majestic hall could be" a grid backup station with the cars than are not on the road. They could help to pay the rent when not in use. Love the collection and that you drive them all.

I think the most interesting thing to me is that the Suburban had rear wheel drive. They were ahead of Tesla on that. I thought the Hummer was the first.
Electric classic cars is a UA-cam channel converting classic Land Rovers to Tesla powertrain. There are some converting channels in the USA as well. It looks like Judy eventually when you Kyle will get fed up with her breaking down character will get converted to EV to be kept reliably for very long time.

Is the range in the E-Tron really 90-110miles in the winter? That is really disappointing. I’ve been checking out 2019’s online lately and thought it made sense for me. I’ve seen prestige trims going for 45k which is still a great deal considering the looks, quality build and fast charging. It doesn’t get too cold here in Washington state so maybe it will be okay.

Interesting comment about the temperature sensor on the Model 3. I have a 2019 Model 3 as well (same color too!) and now that I think about it I've noticed the same thing: I get kinda hot or cold sometimes. When I drive from Denver up into the mountains I have to keep raising the temperature as it gets colder outside! In really cold weather I end up with the target temp at 80 haha.
Like yours the heating and cooling *works*, no issues when I really crank it to HI or LO temp. And I can see from the mobile app it quickly gets the temp to what the car *thinks* is correct target.

The time has come, build the ranch. Leasing and renting is a terrible option. I spent 8 glorious years in a little studio apartment in Newport Beach. It's a galaxy away from where I live now, El Paso, Tx. However, I spent around $96,000 in rent which is gone forever. Buy the land, build your garage and purchase a slightly used mobile home. Live in that home until your dream house is built. The rent and lease money you're hemorrhaging is money you will never see again. Good luck.

That’s weird someone would call me out like that. I really hate getting into life details but here we go again!
We have great ad revenue from UA-cam - you don’t get paid on subscribers but rather on views and view duration - long videos with high frequency uploads make a lot more than the average channel with out subscriber base. We also have a bunch of other smaller channels that bring in considerable income. On top of that we have Alyssa who is a great sales person on my team who sells ads and sponsorships. Nobody else has paid any money on any of these cars except for me - I will admit that I’m an idiot and spend a disproportionate amount of money on cars compared to most, but it’s what I enjoy.
Sell the Sprinter, Range Rover HSE, Plaid and Twizzy. Easy for me to say as I don't have the emotional investment in them. But those are the ones you had reservations on (except Twizzy). The Twizzy is a great specialty car so it will probably go for good money. The HSE is a driver and won't fetch much but your fixes may make the sale. The Sprinter just can't be justified and backroad camping can be done with a trailer on the R1T which you can make back on channel content. The Plaid is ... well, it may have lost its mojo as you say so that will be a net loss but a new plaid will bridge the gap until the roadster comes along os maybe you can find an original Lotus body Roadster? Cheers and enjoy the drive whatever the ride.

It’s actually all hers and all in her name! Why I included it in this video, well, good question. We still share many things post breakup and cars are one of them. Thinking about it now, while I still manage the e-tron and keep it up to service etc, it isn’t mine - but it was nice to give an update to it since we love it. I’ve been encouraging Alyssa to make some videos with it on her own - perhaps we’ll see some content coming from her side!

Have a goal of selling LEAF, model-3 within the next 6 months (after getting them better). Sell LS400 within 1 year (after making planned content). Keep the Plaid as its come down in value so much. Giveaway the Chevy after getting it runable or junk it. Sell Winnebago within 2/3 years.
Give it a couple years, add a child or two as offspring, and then it’ll just be the Leaf and a minivan….
