I wonder if I could have both doors attached together and go the one way? I have a 46 inch opening without trim, 51 inch with trim and I only can slide one direction. I'd like to just have a single 51 inch door and slide them both to the right, however there aren't a lot of kits that size so I could just get a double door kit and buy a couple 24 inch doors and slide them together?
I agree the wider the better usually for barn doors but you are seeing the light form inside of jamb. I didnt have trim installed yet which was another 3 1/2 inches. Good eye though! Thanks for watching!
Good stuff!

yeah thats a good idea, you also could build your own barndoor, thatd be cool!
The doors should have been wider for wall overlap to not be able to see through the sides of the doors.

Hi, how about if you have a transom window over the double barn doors? How do you install the middle support?
You could contact a high end barn door track company and they may have a solution. How large is the opening?
How r they holding up without the header?
Non load bearing wall, was framed conventional with jack, king, then cripples on 16 OC. Sorry should of better explained in video.
