When I was 14, I drove an 1895 Robert's Electric Horseless Carriage on its 100th birthday. Thankfully the fishtank of acid under the bench seat was been replaced with 6 modern car batteries... it was incredibly slow but so very cool xD

The amount of detail and creativity to make working cars of our past, becoming progressively more and more detailed for each one, and giving detailed information of the cars, this guy is a legend
It is amazing how far cars have come in a little over 100 years. From open engine, belt-driven trikes to sleek, comfortable vehicles capable of going beyond 200 miles per hour.
That's what I was thinking. The Willys was definitely in mass production way before then (WWII). Maybe not the first mass produced civilian 4WD, but definitely mass produced. Heck, it was over produced. There are stories of people finding unopened crates with complete Willys jeeps years after the war because they were surplus.

If you think the Lada Niva is seriously the first mass produced four wheel drive car, pretty much every car manufacturer before 1977 wants a word with you
