Worth every penny..
Since this comment section is full of ignorance: I'm not surprised this car went for that money. The RS 2.7 is pretty much the dream 911, above all vintage 911's. I'd buy it and drive it as much as possible - even with that kind of price tag.
What a beauty. Those RS are so special
I LOVE IT!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!! YOU MADE MY NIGHT!!!!
My favorite Carrara body type..
I used to cherish classic cars. Now I just see them as classic materialism.
hahaha. Socialist huh? How is Brandon treating you?
@@Coldgecko Two wrongs don't make a right.
@@Eatinbritches I was not going to reply -- but I honestly dont know what you mean? If your a Brandon or Bernie supporter dont reply -- not looking for a lecture - its Sunday.
@@Coldgecko I think he meant 2 wrongs (socialism and Brandon) don't make a right.
An absolute stunning car well worth the price tag 🏷 👍🏻
My friend had one of these. It was 79 and it was really cool ride!
Well, it wouldn't have been this specific car. Porsche built a few Carreras with the 2.7L later on, but the RS is special in that the whole body is made of thinner gauge steel - giving it a much lighter weight. The car your friend had wouldn't have had the same performance and handling for this reason. Still cool, though.
And this is not the tin can Rennsport. It’s the touring version. Notice the door panel pockets and touring seats.
And a touring version at that.
Darn ! It missed the million by a pinch.....
Wait, what?
I wonder if,at the end of the Roman Empire, they had auctions like this. ‘Here we have an absolutely stunning, gold and jewel encrusted, mint condition, solo chariot. Once driven by Judas, this beauty is an incredibly important model in its own right’. The sound of Nero fiddling in the background would be awesome.
I really do love classic cars and capitalism, but this sure makes one wonder.
I'd buy that for a dollar!
I'll gladly except delivery 👁️♎thank you🎁🗝️❤️🧙♂️🙏🙏
RIP Paul. Hopefully all your cars go to loving homes.
Why are they worth so much?
It was Paul walkers. Also helped Porsche in their rally days when it came to having road legal going cars for homologation rules😃
Thinner glass, thinner gauge of steel, higher rev’ing motor, better engine and oil cooling, shorter gear ratio’s, slightly larger brakes, no sound deadening, completely different interior, very low production numbers, homologation special and the very first “RS” (Renn-sport) car.
Seen in the Mercury News- For Sale. Almost new Porche 911 Carrera. Black on Black. Twin Turbos. Tweeked to 650hp. All new Pirelli P5 tires. All leather interior. Best offer OR will trade for mini van.
!
Bumblebee from the first Transformers except if he was a porsche.
Never heard of him.
He was a PC pedophile.
SUGGESTION: PLEASE CONSIDER BRINGING BACK THE CARRERA WITH ICE.
what do you do with this when they ban the sale of gasoline?.....living room display next to the grand piano?...Jeevs its time to dust the gas burner!
In the US, banning gasoline isn’t likely to ever happen. In the future, there might be regions where you might not be able to operate an ICE 🚗, such as a city centre. Or you pay a fee/tax. Other options could be the use of synthetic fuels in development, or one could distill their own ethanol from biomass. The same will likely be true in most countries.
If its sold on Mecum -- its damaged goods. Sorry.
booo hho paul walker
Great you just bought a car you'll never drive
I'd pay that if I laundered money like a Democrat.
