Looking forward to meeting you at the Charlotte Frocktails event. I participate in the Polly Sews sewing group and will be meeting up with Carol as well. So excited.
I love your chambray shirt!! Such a great layering piece!! Big yes to the avenir for Frocktails! It’ll be stunning! You and Marianne will have an amazing time xx
A lot of fun plans for when you return and hope you are having a wonderful time! There's not usually a downside to getting things done ahead of time - it allows time for anything unexpected, for one thing, and it relieves stress of a deadline. As for the Precious Fabric challenge...well, I should be participating...but I might wind up confirming that the precious fabric was indeed too good for my sewing skills and then what 😆?!? Yeah, yeah, what's the worst that could happen 😁??? So, maybe unofficial participation 😄!
Hi! I hope you're having a wonderful vacation! Thanks for sharing your August makes...I'm looking forward to seeing your Frocktails projects 😊 I really like that black and white print. Re the Precious fabric challenge... ooooo what are you going to use?? I've been considering doing this, and it occurs to me that the coat project I'm working on now would probably qualify. I've been shifting it around since the start of 2020, and I was having trouble deciding on a pattern.
Wow! August was really a gangbuster of a month. All great makes. Your September plans are pretty ambitious, too. Good luck. Hope your trip was marvelous.
My goodness Izzy, those September plans 😮 you’re a human dynamo ! August has been such a creative month for you too. I’m sooo impressed, I just don’t know how you manage to pull it all in what with working too. But, hey, I’m glad you do because I love to watch your videos. I hope you’ve had a superb time in Greece and look forward to seeing how that excellent capsule wardrobe has performed for you. 😊x
A great month of sewing for you! It will be fun to see your assessment of these items after your vacation to Greece. Can't wait to see your new projects. :)
Thank you! I’ve been meaning to revisit the Laundry Day Tee. I made one a few years ago and didn’t like how the shoulders fit on me but maybe that wouldn’t be an issue with the tank version.
I plan on doing Whitney's challenge. My problem is I don't have precious fabric like most people do. I have fabric I don't want to ruin by doing a patternt that may not fit well or doesn't look good. Making a toile and then do the challenge. I love your purple Coco Wide Leg pants. Love the curved hem tank. I just downloaded it and going to try and make it. Wish I was small enough to wear the Cami you made for your daughter. I can't with the chest I have. I wear a G/H in Cashmerette. I've made the Vernon shirt, but never wear it. Took the class with Whitney and we lowered the bust darts too much, so doesn't fit well. I'm retired so really not in need of a blouse. I'm more about comfort and fit. Love the video. Enjoy your trip to Greece...what a wonderful place to see. Maybe one of these days I'll get there. Until then I'll enjoy through your videos
Thank you so much! I’m not sure if you’re a member of the Cashmerette Club, but they came out with a cami/slip dress pattern for woven fabric maybe a year ago and I love it. The straps are wide enough for you to wear a regular bra and it’s super cute. Also, I think the Ogden Cami has a size range that has a bigger cup size and wider straps. 😊
Hope you are winging your way to Greece right now. You inspired me to make some pietra shorts and a new top for my vacation that starts Friday! I’m trying to finish a couple of dress a girl dresses before I go!
I am curious about how other sewists allocate time for sewing. I recently retired from full time employment that made more than 4 hours a week of sewing difficult. In January I will return to occaisional/part-time work in the fall. Izzy, you talk about your job and you get a good deal of sewing done regularly. How you budget time for sewing would be a great topic for many of us. 🎉
Have you gotten your Think Pink box yet? Mine supposedly comes on Thursday and this time it looks like I didn't get charged duty. Yay! Fingers are crossed. It's so hard not watching all of the unboxings over the last week. One almost got me without any warning that they were going to even talk about it.
I want to get my Frocktails dress done as quickly as possible so that I know it is finished. But I also want to sew all the things!!!!! I need some discipline 😊
Hi Izzy, your garments you made are beautiful. Have a great vacation!
Your Frocktails outfit is going to be fabulous. Marianne will be beautiful in that blue too! Have a wonderful and safe trip to Greece. Im jealous!!❤

You're a busy lady for sure! Looking forward to seeing Marianne's dress and can't wait to see what you'll make of your precious fabric!!
Really looking forward to seeing the look of your frocktails outfit!

I think the coat fabric definitely qualifies! I’m going to be using a rayon I’ve been holding onto for 2 reasons: the print and the price 😂
I do plan to,participate in the precious fabric challenge. Love your vlog.
I love watching all your makes.. You do such a great job ..
Thank you so much!

Thank you Nancy! I can’t wait to report back!
Too late for your hols, but for future reference, I find the sleeveless version of the Laundry Day Tee (Love Notions) a superb tank!
Thank you! I’ve been meaning to revisit the Laundry Day Tee. I made one a few years ago and didn’t like how the shoulders fit on me but maybe that wouldn’t be an issue with the tank version.
Your makes all turned out great. I am looking forward to seeing Marianne's dress and your jumpsuit.

@@dizzyquiltsandsews Yes I am a member. Thanks for the info on Ogden Cami.
Enjoy your time in Greece. I have made two dresses for Project Dress a Girl. I hope to get more made.
Thank you! And yay for 2 dresses!!

Leaving the house in one hour!! Hope you have a fabulous vacation!

That’s a really good topic for a video - thank you so much for mentioning it!
Thank you for the video. Please leave the insert picture in much longer. Why not leave it in for as log as you talk about the garment?
Thank you so much for the feedback! I will let my editor know. 😊

Mine got here on Friday the 30th (only took 2 days to get here)!!
@@dizzyquiltsandsews that's funny. I got the message that it had just entered Canada that day.
