Great use of fabric and what a perfect match for the quilt and so cozy as rated by Bear ***! You are always thinking, Dress a girl with the remaking fabric. I need a dress a month challenge to have them ready for next year so I am not frantic at the last minute. You are always inspiring. Thanks so Much!
This is exciting to see you unbox the package because I always wonder if they would be worth it. That fabric goes with the quilt top so well. A beautiful way to showcase the beautiful fabric!
Thank you so much! I love this box, but I have been on a bit of a streak of bad luck lately. I love the quality of the fabric and the cotton I got recently was just stunning, but I don't enjoy wearing cotton so...
Well, Bear has good taste! He knows a great quilt when he sees one 😄. Definitely a good use for that very pretty fabric, and dresses for little girls will be as well. I was surprised the Milky Way had a pretty blue wrapper, as they are just brown here in the U.S. As long as there's chocolate inside, that's what counts 😋!
Great use of another tricky fabric for you. Love it as a quilt backing and fabulous idea to use it for PDaG dresses. Fingers crossed October's box is a better one for you 🤞🏼. As I said to Karen, Milky Ways for us are different to the US where they are our Mars Bars😂 What I'm intrigued about is if you have that bar in your shops as I know you have a lot of the same chocolates as us. I love that local Artist for the coaster and there is a shop in a nearby town to me with her pictures all in the windows, it's wonderful 😂 Have a great week ❤xx
Thank you Carole! We do have Milky Ways and they are the same as what we got in the box (at least I think so - I’ve never actually eaten a Milky Way before this one). I’m in love with that coaster! I’m really hoping for a lovely viscose in the next box if I’m honest. I need more work appropriate blouses! 😂 xx 💞
Such a pretty quilt and a great use for the fabric. I was thinking before you said it that you could use the rest for Project Dress a Girl. I showed my granddaughter a bit of Mari's unboxing video today. And she was so excited to choose fabric to for the dress we are making for Project Dress a Girl. We cut it out today and will beginning sewing tomorrow. She suggested maybe I could make her a matching dress. Of course she did. 😄 Never enough clothes for my fashionista.
always fun to see what you make Izzy. I admit I was disappointed with this one. Don't like wearing black and I've received black at least three times. Managed to switch it once. Then after a couple of days and not getting any response on the FB group to switch, I thought about using it as a quilt back. Just a different stash but works :). xx Karen
I wish I had received the pink colourway to be honest - I might have been tempted to make a garment with pink. 😂 The fabric just screamed quilt back to me from the start. I just knew I would not wear that black floral cotton. It worked out in the end, but I’m really hoping for a beautiful rayon next! Xx
What a great way to use the cotton that you don’t like to wear! I was going to remind you when I saw it but didn’t want to spoil the surprise if you hadn’t received it before you left for Greece. I got the pink color-way and it is in my stash waiting for a button up shirt pattern for me to get toiled. Is was a wonderful box! 😊
I loved the pink colourway! I might have been tempted to make myself a garment if I had gotten that one. LOL Which button up shirt pattern are you thinking of?
@@dizzyquiltsandsews I’m not not sure which one to make as my first one. I have the Aria, Ballard, Melody, Vernon, and Harrison, I also have the new band camp Shirts and the Cashmerette camp Style shirt from a few months ago. I have the classes from TKS, Cashmerette and LN. I have just been too scared to start. Is there one you suggest as a beginner to button up shirts??
@@angiemcconnell9070 All the patterns you have are amazing, but as a first one, you might want to try either the Melody or the Aria. The Melody is a grown-on sleeve and a camp collar so would be easier and you can focus all your attention on getting the collar and button placket done. If you prefer a set-in sleeve, I really like the Aria and the Vernon. If you have the classes, you can absolutely get either one of them done. Actually, now that I’m thinking about it, with a cotton, you might prefer the set-in sleeves because you might end up with a lot of fabric at the armpit with the Melody. You’ll have to let me know which one you decide to go with!
When this months box contained cotton I wondered how you were going to use it. Really great choices. Some little girl(s) will be so pleased with a dress out of it, and you have your lovely quilt for yourself to enjoy. Nicely done.
Love how you used your fabric x
Thank you! 😊
Your quilt is beautiful, perfect fabric for the backing, can't wait to see your next memake ❤🏴
Thank you so much Alicia!
I so love these unboxing vlogs. The quilt backing is such a great way to show off the fabric. ❤
Aww thank you so much! I really enjoy making these vlogs so it makes me really happy to hear you love them too! 💞
I love that you did not go the normal rout of making a garment just because that is what is expected! I love the quilt!
Thank you so much Katinka!
That was an inspired choice to use the cotton floral Think Pink fabric as a backing for that quilt.
Thank you! I’m really pleased with my decision. ☺️
Great idea. I love the fabric as a quilt back. It will also be the perfect fabric for a Project Dress a Girl dress. 😊
Thank you Cynthia!

Thank you so much Kathleen! I would love a "dress a month challenge" LOL
Izzy, a beautiful quilt 😊 I love the fabric as a quilt back
Thank you! 😊
What a wonderful idea looks fabulous the quilt is very pretty 😊😊
Thank you so much Robyn!
Wow Izzy , what a great idea . That quilt looks really nice. Good thinking. .Bye now
Thank you Soula! 😊
Gorgeous, Izzy! What a happy quilt! 💗
Thank you Andra! It is a pretty cute quilt isn't it? 😊
Love this, Izzy! 😘
Thank you! 😘
Quilt is lovely and the rest will make a daling dress😊

The inside is like a three Musketeer bar.
Bear really does have good taste LOL
BEAR!❤❤ The quilt is gorgeous! And what a good idea to put it towards PDAG!! ❤
Thank you! 😊
My gosh, that is nice. I had that fabric, now I wish I had saved it for a quilt.
It's pretty cool on the back of a quilt isn't it? I'm so pleased with my new little quilt.
I love the quilting design you did (no thanks to Bear 😂)! Plus I love your plan to use the rest for PDAG.
Thank you Erin! Bear is so funny because he only wants to “help” when I’m quilting and I’m always afraid he’s going to try grabbing the needle! 😬
What a beautiful quilt!
Thank you! 😊
Very nice use of the fabric! ❤️

The fabric will make a very pretty dress for Dress a girl❤😊
I agree! 💞
Hi Izzy, such a good idea to use to back quilt.
Thank you so much!
