This series is so good, it really helps a beginner like me see how great players think and plan ahead. It’s especially impressive how Anna can talk through it all with the clock ticking and stay so calm!
Anna is very informative and funny. seen the ending several times. go to time 24:35 it was Anna turn, so she was like explaining with a real calm voice, “this is actually a checkmate, ok, this is really pretty, you can see the king is in the same diagonal as my bishop, (the opponent resigns ) Anna yells: “nooo they didnt let me checkmate, nooo , ok thats fine” it was nice, two checkmates an also the queen covering the escape route : )
That is so nice Anna. I really like your cheerful disposition and yes it’s infectious. I can see that you’re well on your way to becoming a grand master ! All the best.
At 11:42, I had to play it out in my head several times to figure out why it doesn't make sense to go Rook-B8...now I understand. I think your gift is how you can express your thought processes in every move, packaged in a concise and clear way, and your personality is bright and encouraging...all put together in an entertaining way! I'm just a beginner, but you've rekindled my interest in Chess. Thanks!
At 2:46, it would actually be better to capture with the knight rather than the queen. After knight takes bishop d7, pawn c6, you can take b4 with bishop, and then you will be able to go knight c5 on the next move.
It's amazing how Anna just plays solid chess that OUTLASTS what her opponent is doing. Plus, her perception and instinct about what is a good move is fantastic.
This is such a helpful series. Request: Please put all instruction videos in one playlist, Anna, and you will get a tons more views cuz people are sure to binge all your videos in the playlist. As of now it's very hard to find your instruction videos even though I want to.
As a beginner chess player these videos where you analyse yours and your opponents moves and explain the the thought process behind them are more valuable than gold. Do more please :-)
Actually white was standing much better and the example from blacks camp was really bad. She got Lucky. Black is strong when it keeps the defense closed and bishop aimed at the opponents King. She keeps making the same mistakes. I can be nice and she is nice but as we all do we keep playing the same way and if you do you will not become better. Check the engine and get out the mistakes.
Years ago when i was a bigger enthusiast and had time, i very much wanted to write articles or a book or to help someone write articles to get great clarity like this. But these days, all the heavens and floodgates have opened up, with you, Anna, and Gotham chess, and indeed Hikaru himself! But you, Anna Cramling, are simply fantastic! Bringing heaven down to earth!
Anna keeps explaining unconcerned that her time is running out. My heart rate keeps rising with concern, pointlessly, because she finishes the tutorial easily with time left. These videos are quite informative and fun to watch.
These instructional videos are very useful, Anna, as they reveal how we need to think in order to improve at chess. One thing I don't understand, though: en passant! I rarely see it used, so I've never learned how to apply it.
At 3:09 the White Rook could have moved to E-1 , Threating the Rook ! The only good move for the White Rook is H-3 or C-3 to trade Rooks , which I do Not like followed by White Knight to C-2 ! White Rook to H-1 is a move , White is still in trouble at this point but has a fighting chance and Time !

No me canso de oírte cómo pronuncias "moves" como "miufs", es encantador... Muchas gracias por la forma de enseñar ajedrez, se ve que lo sientes con pasión G R A C I A S!!!
What is interesting, is that you don’t make any major errors. Granted that’s normal for a 2200, but for my level that’s my first striving. To play complete games repeatedly without major errors. Then I can win on plan or capitalizing on their errors. Currently, I can be my own worst opponent 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Very useful video. Thanks. I really like how you moved the pieces with your mouse, because it was much easier to follow what's happening compared to when you teleport them with the space bar.
Anna: "If you wonder why you lose at chess, then I'm going to tell you right now..." Magnus Carlsen watching this video: "Interesting.... Let's see why I'm losing"
These videos are really good! Only thing is I feel you become a little stressed over the clock which leads to you compressing your reasoning. Would you mind trying something like a 15 minutes game instead? You can always edit out silent moments waiting for the opponent.
That is really really helpful. I'll have to go to her UA-cam page and see if there are more. (Well, this is part 2, so that has to be at least 1 more.)
I'm a subscriber. I really enjoy this series. Since you asked what we'd like to see, my choice is the English with white and the Pirc with black against rank amateurs like me. 1000 to 12000.
That was very helpful thank you for that! Maybe you can make this video with even lower rank, so beginners/intermediate like me can learn even more. Like at 1500+ the moves player are make are pretty solid, it's not like on the 1000+- rank. Anyway, great video 🤘🏼
What is not clear is why you have a better center? Why is dxc good for black? it seems to me that now white can occupy d4. Can you explain what it means exactly what having a better center means?
I need you to explain the rook fork and why you took with the knight and not the castle because I think that was the correct decision i just couldnt figure out how
This series is so good, it really helps a beginner like me see how great players think and plan ahead. It’s especially impressive how Anna can talk through it all with the clock ticking and stay so calm!
She talks at 900 words per minute.
My thoughts exactly.
My blood pressure goes up watching the clock ticking as she talks.
Hey Sam, "5 + 5 game". Is that 5 mins w/a 5 sec reboot?
This is the best format for chess videos! As a complete beginner, I find this very useful! Thanks!

I didn't get how she got a checkmate there, since the rook in a1 could take it
Love instructional videos like this one. Please do more and thanks so much
That is so nice Anna. I really like your cheerful disposition and yes it’s infectious. I can see that you’re well on your way to becoming a grand master ! All the best.
I love this! It was definitely easy to follow along and see these predictions/decisions :D
Keep these coming. Hearing your thought process through each move is very helpful.
so cool to hear your thought process for somebody like me who just started with chess. thanks Anna
When I'm watching you I am 3000. By myself, I am -5.🤷🏻♀️🤣
At 11:42, I had to play it out in my head several times to figure out why it doesn't make sense to go Rook-B8...now I understand.

Nice vid Anna! More instructional vids please.
It's amazing how Anna just plays solid chess that OUTLASTS what her opponent is doing. Plus, her perception and instinct about what is a good move is fantastic.
Your energy and enthusiasm is awesome! You make learning chess fun. keep it up.
14:47 I love making Pawns look stupid! It’s my favorite thing 😃😃
Thanks for the helpful video!
This is such a helpful series.

There are so many stories on the web; but with your channel you get them so compressed; it is great.
"You guys are 1500 or lower..." Yes. Lower. Much lower. But small brains can still learn from big brains. Just takes a while.
As a beginner chess player these videos where you analyse yours and your opponents moves and explain the the thought process behind them are more valuable than gold. Do more please :-)
This is great Anna, I really needed this. I keep oscillating between 900-1000
"So I'm definitely dominating on the Queen's side."🔥😭
Actually white was standing much better and the example from blacks camp was really bad.
She got Lucky.

You must be joking that White position is better or it is better for White to resign.
24:42 Lost climax when your opponent resigns one turn too early.
"My Bishop is under attack but I don't really care, I'm gonna threaten the queen because the queen doesn't have any good squares. "🙌
for the algorithm
All hail the algorithm.
We must respect the algorithm
Yes.
What happened to the original thumbnail?
What?
In the first game after you castled at 4:56, your opponent could take your knight and make a fork on your queen and rook. Would it be good move?
it's defended by the other knight in f6.
This is exactly my problem. Didn’t see this knight at all :(
Thanks for taking another crack at this series, love the 5+1 blitz format for this.

These videos are quite informative and fun to watch.
Constructive criticism: It would be nice if you provided the link to Part 1 in the description. 😊
Just=>> SUBSCRIBE. .! , then go to her UA-cam channel... It's ALL there, plus lots more. Her positive creativity is overwhelming..!
These instructional videos are very useful, Anna, as they reveal how we need to think in order to improve at chess. One thing I don't understand, though: en passant! I rarely see it used, so I've never learned how to apply it.
You make it look so easy. Very helpful to see your process.
The pace is fine, I'm a beginner and I find this very helpful
just want to throw it out there. Chess needs you. You are making video that legit are making chess entertaining to watch. keep it up. Onward to 1M!
Really enjoyed this video, very helpful to hear your thought process. I hope you do more videos like this.
You are the best teacher Anna, you make it simple to understand.
Helpful. Definitely good teaching
Just gorgeous when you deliver a double check - Checkmate whilst Both pieces giving the checks would be taken, if not for the double check :P
Yes agree, good series building here now, more please Anna. :)
Sure makes it looks easy.
Enthusiasm is contagious. Anxious to try out this concept.
Anna is the Queen.

With rapid 10 min games, idk how to calculate all those possible captures and the possible trade scenarios. Rated 1200ish btw
No me canso de oírte cómo pronuncias "moves" como "miufs", es encantador... Muchas gracias por la forma de enseñar ajedrez, se ve que lo sientes con pasión G R A C I A S!!!
love how you just was shock when they gave you a free piece at 10:42 💀

There is usually quites few things I learn, like giving the king breathing room or just the way you defended and developed pieces at the same time.
Very useful video. Thanks. I really like how you moved the pieces with your mouse, because it was much easier to follow what's happening compared to when you teleport them with the space bar.
Thanks Anna to give me enough motivations to start reading Chess Books!
thank you for getting me into chess, keep it up🙌🏻
I’m about 1100, I learned the bare bone basics when I was young and didn’t really pick it back up until recently, wish me luck!
Love it! You make it look so easy!
You’re way to good! Love the vids, learn a lot from them
I'm pretty close to that rating. Only about 1,000 lower.
Ah yes checks captures and attacks, im really glad you keep mentioning it as i keep forgetting to think like this 😅 great video 😊
More videos like this, please....PLEASE
Anna: "If you wonder why you lose at chess, then I'm going to tell you right now..."
Magnus Carlsen watching this video: "Interesting.... Let's see why I'm losing"
Yes, these are fantastic! So helpful! Please do more :)
So glad I found this channel, very helpful
This is amazing, thanks Anna, you're the reason I'm hitting 1500!
hi I'm a newbie. Should i join chess classes to cross 1000 or online content like hers is also helpful enough
@@mrblackmamba117 online content
Your chess brain is incredible. You would beat me in under a minute.
Thanks for the instructions!
I’m quite new to chess and i always learn new tactics watching your videos. Im really very exited and enjoy your content! Greetings from 🇬🇷
Thx for the video, your tempo in the video is GREAT....easy to watch your videos Anna!
ive started chess a few months prior, my rating jumped from ~1400 to ~ 2200 after i saw a video explaining how to play Openings
You were totally losing that first game until your opponent blundered their knight.
Second game 23:45 rook c7 threatens mate in 2, and I'm like 1100, strange that 1600 didn't see it
bro I'm 650 and I saw that straightaway hahah
These videos are really good! Only thing is I feel you become a little stressed over the clock which leads to you compressing your reasoning. Would you mind trying something like a 15 minutes game instead? You can always edit out silent moments waiting for the opponent.
Dude I like you every time better, you are a great teacher. Yes more vids like this
This is very good, thanks for daily chess and laughs.
Anna cramling
I think I might be able to beat you Anna. Here’s how, me + my sister + my brother = 2500 .
She is amazing for beginners like me, I'm learning so much for her clear explanations, so easy to follow. Thanks Anna 👍
Very good explanation. I'love more videos like these.
thx Anna, I learned a lot
Lovely double check at the end! Thanks for the helpful vids!!
I usually (though not always) do pretty well when my op gives me free pieces
Your checkmate doesn't count if they resign first. Them's the rules
This was a really helpful video, thanks
1:00 I'm 1500 if you multiple my elo by 3 🤘
That is really really helpful. I'll have to go to her UA-cam page and see if there are more. (Well, this is part 2, so that has to be at least 1 more.)
Great games as usual. Thank you Anna.
I'm a subscriber. I really enjoy this series. Since you asked what we'd like to see, my choice is the English with white and the Pirc with black against rank amateurs like me. 1000 to 12000.

I beat the 1800 chess bot (Wally) for the first time immediately following your video. Thanks a lot for the educational content.
Love this! Thanks so much 👏🏽👏🏽
I just started playing chess. This has been very helpful. Liked your video. Smart and beautiful.
I like this series of videos. I'm in the 1300-1400 range. What chess software do you use?
Great video. Very useful. I think it would be helpful to also include some analysis after the games.
Congratulations on hitting 300k!
10:43 There is no rc8.. last known words.
11.34 You could capture the Bishop after Rb8 You can play Rc8, Anyways You're coollll
Thanks. Helpful please do more
When I'm playing (around 450, very new to chess), I always assume I'm playing a streamer explaining how dumb all my moves are. :)
It's okay dude, i have been stuck on 320 for more than a year 😭
Love your videos. More like this one, please. I learned a lot. Thanks!
Awesome! Thanks for creating so much excellent content.
