The tetragrmmaton can be accurately pronounced as YA'OH. There is evidence for this found in sources such as The Dead Sea Scrolls fragment 4Q120, the Aramaic Papyri of the 5th Century BCE by A.E. Cowley, the Assyrian Annals of King Tiglath Pileser from the 7th Century BCE and The Soleb Temple Inscription from the 15th Century BCE. There are also Christian contemporary witnesses that I can show you. The Jewish scribes added vowel points to the tetragrammaton due to their superstition that saying His name out loud results in eternal damnation. The vowel points are from the modern Hebrew word Adonai to remind the reader to say this instead of the divine name. This is where names such as Yahweh and Jehovah come from. Comparative linguistics show that the Ancient Biblical Hebrew employed the usage of the vowel rule formally known today as Matres Lectionis. This means that, in certain positions of a word, some consonants make the sound of a pure vowel ( a vowel which is not a contraction of another vowel, e.g e is a contraction of I and u is a contraction of ō ). The letter yod would have been pronounced as Ya in the first position of a word or an Ay sound in any other position, the letter hey is silent in the middle and final position of a word and vav is a wa at the start of a word or a long ō vowel in any other position. Thus, His name is YA'OH (Holy is it). The correct rendering and translation of the third commandment is shown below: La thasha ath Sham YA'OH Ala'aycha la-shoa chay la-yanakah YA'OH ath ashar yasha ath Shamo la-shoa! (You will not lift up the name YA'OH, your deity, to disrespect, for YA'OH will not forgive whoever will lift up His name to disrespect.) As long as you are not mocking, blaspheming or ascribing His name to evil you can say it. It is commanded that those in His covenant sing to His name, praise His name, love His name, know His name, fear His name, etc. ua-cam.com/video/SNfNmQ_hv98/v-deo.html
Just sucks that everything about Smt is very demonic and outright rebels and contradicts bible teaching. If you are a christian I recommend no longer playing these games.
I think that the answer to "What happens when you say God's name?" is rather straightforward. What happens when someone says your name? You direct your attention towards them. To have the attention of such a powerful entity can be good or bad depending on various circumstances, but as can be seen in Lovecraft mythos, even the attention of an indifferent deity can cause major havoc, just from their sheer power. To also speak someone's name only when necessary makes it so that they don't ignore such calls.

I used to think that it was censored because it was beyond mortal comprehension. For most of SMT 4 and Apocalypse, it's only demons and angels that say YHVH. It made sense that they could say and understand it due to their magical nature. And when humans referred to YHVH, it was always "God" or "The Lord", which makes sense because we were mortal and couldn't comprehend the actual name. But then, near the end of Apocalypse, people started saying the censored YHVH name and my theory went out of the window. This makes a lot more sense.
I love how they depict YHVH in SMT, some demons in SMT can be spooky or gross, but the way that YHVH threatens to curse Aleph for hundreds of lifetimes, or how he even tries to give "mercy" to Nanashi makes him genuinely terrifying to me

I knew about the prohibition against saying YHVH's name so when I realized they didn't in this games, I was actually impressed. 99.9% of the time when someone chastises you for not following the bible, they are ignoring many many many of Jesus's teachings in the new testament about not being a dickhead who lords their "superior" form of worship over others. By doing so despite that, they're missing the whole point. Your actions should speak for themselves and so should those of others, god doesn't need you rushing to "his" defense. Everyone is supposed to be judged by god when the time comes and no sooner.
@@TheMightyBattleSquid i'm going to assume you're referring to "judge not, lest ye be judged." what many (if not most) don't know about that verse is that immediately following it is "for with what measure ye mete, ye shall be measured." it's not saying to not judge, but it IS saying "don't be a hypocrite." to use a more modern interpretation for sake of thorough demonstration: clean your own room before you change the world. you're also probably referring to Jesus' rebuke of the pharisees' vain lording of their own acts in an attempt to raise themselves up in the eyes of the others. that's a straight up no-no there and they already had their reward on earth, which was exactly what they were searching for: praise. but it should go without saying that lording your acts over others is entirely different to teaching others to do good acts, as is expecting those who believe to try their best to follow His teachings. i will say though, expecting people who don't believe to be without sin is useless at best. the best thing to do is teach them God's love and pray they convert. sussy capitalizations though.
@@Tony4You It would have made MORE sense with the lore stablished in Apocalypsed. YHVH didn't show himself or allowed to be named by humans so he could not be defined by them, and therefore, by bound by human's power of defining/incarnating godly/spiritual beings, which is what made him truly mortal at the end of apocalypse, unlike the time Aleph "defeated" him.

Something that always amazed me is the fact that even other cosmic Gods cannot say his name. Demons fear it. Humans cannot understand it. Angels revere it. But Gods? What’s their excuse? Simply mind blowing.
If I were to hazard a guess it's probably because the mere mention of his name establishes his influence in the Gods' domain iirc In SMT4, Merkabah warned that YHVH will never stop tormenting neutral/ chaos Flynn and co as long as the is a soul that believed in him. Having his name mentioned reinforced the proof his existence (to the entity saying it and the party who listened) and the rest of the pagan gods probably don't want that. tl;dr Omnipotent Beetlejuice.
One interesting thing about the name YHVH: In ancient Mesopotamian occultism, knowing and speaking a demons name was a magic spell of its own, an invocation. The whole "don't use HIS name in vain" commandment is likely to come from that belief.
I have never taken SMT games as being particularly anti-god or anti-religion, and the level of research that Atlus puts into them is a huge factor in that feeling.
As a religious Jew, I approve of this video and how you took your time to read and learn about Hashem's holy name and it's origins and how important his name is. Love the Hebrew incorporation too.

quick correction: in the hebrew which would have been spoken at the time the old testament was written, paleo hebrew, was a pure abjad, vav could not be a vowel it would only be a consonant, it specifically would've been "wāw", (it is still to this day in arabic) the ability to be a semi vowel came about later partially thanks to heavy influence from aramaic and the switch from W to V seems to have occurred at some point to the would be european jews since unlike them, yemeni jews preserved the W pronounication. and a fun fact, it is believed that to the canaanite peoples who eventaully became the israelites, yhwh was a sort of wind god which may explain why his name is so breathy, in those times and places, breathing, wind and air were all heavily associated with life itself and thanks to the semitic root system one can see this easily, where the word for soul is neshama and the word for "he breathed" is nasham, ghost/spirit is roo'akh and wind is also roo'akh. this association might've been one of the reasons that eventually yhwh was seen as above all the other gods, since if he controlled life he clearly was very powerful.
What I love about the SMT Franchise is that the Devs really do their research on the Religious Figures of all Pantheons and what they mean. Studying Religions is something I do a lot so seeing a game that has Religious Symbolism as one of the main focuses is something I love
Just some food for thought about religious discourse in general: In Taoism there's this book called Tao Te King (or Ching) and the very first chapter goes like "the Tao that can be spoken is not the eternal (or real) Tao". What I get from this sentence is that there are some very complex concepts about life that cannot be described by the physical world. It's the big gap between trying to describe a table or a chair and describing abstract concepts such as "love", "virtue" or even "God". In my perception what both Taoism and Judaism were trying to teach us is that there are certain concepts about life that we humans don't fully understand, thus we create small words to describe them. Also, this thing about "the spoken Tao being the false Tao" is another good thing to think about: if you ever went to church you probably got exposed to the Idea that "each person pictures God in their own way" - this is trying to tell us that some concepts are so complex and open to free interpretation that when you try to describe or explain it to someone else it already becomes fake when you verbalize It, cause you're explaining it based on your own perception only. Anyways, just some stuff for you guys to think about, coming from a devoted Taoist philosophy students and also former SMT hardcore gamer.
Hinduism too has a similar concept regarding this interpretation. That there is one God, but God appears in many ways. One may argue that this may have been the concept in earlier Judaism were it may have been more polytheistic than monotheistic, given that words like "elohim" are also plurals for many gods. Weird how it goes really!
@@applesandgrapesfordinner4626 i read some stuff about this, it seems that modern religions actually take lots of concepts from eachother, christianity is also sorta similar that the appearance of God isnt consistent at all.

I can confirm that saying his name out loud, random miracles can happen. One time I randomly mispronounced his name, while I was singing a U2 song while bathing, and now I have to explain why the hell all the water in my house turned to wine.
I think the not speaking the name thing goes back to the magic of true names. To know a things true name gave you power over it. Even if it was much stronger than you this would still allow you to demand audience with it. It could not refuse to acknowledge you if you spoke the true name. And it was even possible to make use of the beings power just by invoking the name. Although this would be unwise unless one had a good working relationship with the being since it would, of course, immediately know you did this and be quite angry at the lack of respect.
Yahweh means "I am" Eheyeh means "I will become" They are different tenses of the same word. It was the latter that the voice from the burning bush gave to Mosses as it's name, but it was the former that Mosses used when talking to the people. "I shall become" became "I am" when Mosses communicated his revelation. The thing about YHVH being too holy to pronounce was taken from the Babylonians. Saying the name of Marduk aloud was punishable by death.
@@christopherbravo1813 The idea of angels and even their names were borrowed by Hebrew people from the Babylonian empire's tradition of guardian spirits.

I love how SMT recognizes YHVH as especially Mary Sue'ish even among monotheistic deities as he's literally just that kid on the playground who goes "nuh uh you" the deity while also delving deep into the utter hypocrisy in a lot of his teachings
@@brotbrotsen1100 I mean it's not wrong either. Most gods have some form of weakness/flaw or a specific thing they govern over but YHVH is just stated to be over everything and completely flawless and beyond reproach. Smt portrays this by him being a constant force in the universe thats above 99% of other characters In the series in power and resets/destroys worlds when things don't go his way.
The way I interpreted the whole bleeping thing on my first playthrough of apocalypse is that YHVH made it so whenever someone would utter His name, anybody listening would not hear the name itself (or the bleep, that's just for the player, if they were hearing the bleeping you'd think someone would mention it at some point but they never do) but they would somehow subconsciously know who it was referring to. YHVH wanted people to have a just vague enough idea about him to keep them reminded who's in charge, but not be too clear on any specifics regarding him.
The thing is, I would still argue that his name is El or El Shaddai as Ehyeh hasn't really that much different from El. Anu and Enlil, El's progenitors are clearly entirely different characters, while the transition from El to Ehyeh doesn't seem to be as drastic.
So, I watched the YHWH Battle in SMT 4A, and I will say that it gave me a shiver when it offered Nanashi "forgiveness", and ofc knowing what Aleph from SMT 2 went through, even though I have yet to play or watch the game or read the game's storyline, I knew that _option to forgive_ was simply an uncannily empty promise.
that's why I love SMT (though I can never have the desire to go for any other ending but human) or the persona series (still crying on persona 3 ending) games. they are not shy on putting some of the proper names in the game and respectable to censor but not remove them unless needed too.
So if you're Law aligned and you lose your free will if you invoke YHVH's true name. And you are struck down if you say the name while Chaos aligned. What happens if you say the same when Neutral aligned?
I have actually heard a rabbi use that pronunciation when explaining (privately) why the name wasn't said. We more-or-less agreed that, while others may think it silly, losing reverence for the Almighty is akin to the death of a religious belief. There's no need to explain further to one who jealously guards their piety.
The Law alignment only directly messes with free will in one game (SJ) and despite Chaos doing so as well in the same game and later in the remake it being revealed to be the actions of a usurper on Law's side, Law is constantly jabbed with that accusation, while Chaos' actions are swept under the rug. (YHVH as Demiurge even supports a neutral player, albeit not directly joining them like with a Law player) When in reality their real modus operandi is killing off anyone is not of or unwilling to join Law to create their eternal utopia. Its annoying.
@@TheSwordsman100 not only that, in the very first SMT and in Devil Survivor, the protagonist is merely tasked with convincing humanity to turn to God, with not mentions of genocide. in fact, the DeSu angels are against forced conversion, since that would change nothing, and instead wish for humans to choose to follow the path willingly. even in Overclocked, which basically ruins the moral ambiguity of the game and makes the Law faction out to be heartless villains, the angels only kill a small number of people, and only people who's souls are beyond the point of redemption.
My problem with law is how Atlus always do a way of using it to justify Chaos being slightly better(for people that don't analyze it) and Neutral is the good route But i stay as a lawchad Except in IV i hate Law in IV and IVA
@@christopherbravo1813 I mostly agree and it taps into something Law in the mainline series says they would do but we don't get to see thanks to the demons being so ubiquitous normally, which is just contain and eliminate the demons before they got out of hand. I feel Remiel is of the best angel characters and what SJ!Mastma should've been.
Unsure if anyone else has commented this yet, but as a Hebrew speaker, I can also say that whenever the Bible is read out loud, it's courtesy to say "adonai" anytime יהוה is written. In my mind, that also counts as a way for it to be pronounced.
Adonai is, by far, the most common way to refer to the Hebrew god by Jews. But it isn’t the Tetragrammaton. The Tetragrammaton is, in most Jewish beliefs, the actual name of god, which out of respect for you as a likely Jew I will not write. But Adonai means something akin to “My Lord”, similar to how Christian’s write god in the KJV. It’s another name for god, but it isn’t THE name of god. Basically, Adonai is a a word you substitute for the Tetragrammaton when speaking, as uttering gods real name is taboo in just about every Jewish tradition. Many religions, especially these monotheistic religions like that of the abrahamic tradition, have a variety of names to refer to the supreme deity. In most Judaic beliefs, the Tetragrammaton is the “true” name of god and should not be uttered.
So the Slime Mara summoning chant in SMT 3 is basically an enumeration of multiple synonyms for "god?" Guess that answers what would happen if a demon says it.
I love how mythology always has some gods you just don't wanna get the attention of, what happens with YHVH here is very similar to what you'd see the greeks do with Hades or other similar gods (for example Hades was often referred too as "Zeus of the underworld" to avoid his attention), it's really interesting to me how consistent this factor is in mythology (although in this case most likely greek myths got adapted into the abrahamic mythos due to the starting point being near areas heavily influenced by greece and rome)
I've known something about this for a while. I grew up going to a Catholic church, and one of the songs we would sometimes sing has a chorus that begins "Yahweh, I know you are near." But one day, after years of singing it that way, the musical director told us that they found out it was disrespectful to Jewish people to refer to God by that name if you aren't Jewish (at least I'm pretty sure that was the explanation), so we changed it to "Oh Lord, I know you are near."
I mentioned this somewhere else, but I always found it pretty odd that despite YHVH being a pretty big deal in this series (What with being THE capital G God)... Jesus is pretty much a non-entity in this series! Like, the closest thing to it is the Persona Messiah. And this obscure Devil Summoner-only demon called Agony.
Yeaht that is interesting. I think Jesus is a more specific to one religion concept rather than God being a widly understood Abrahamic and monotheistic constant.
Well, all the games are canon to each other though so Messiah is TECHNICALLY a canon character in SMT games; same for say Thanatos or any other character that was only introduced in Persona or any other Spin-Off
Well, umm the letter V used to contain 3 sounds. Those being U, V, and, when doubled, W. So I'd say "V" is a pretty good analog for the letter (assuming the information is correct in this video)
I remember hearing this from a Wendigoon video; after that confrontation in the garden with the Roman soldiers, Jesus was being taken away when a boy dressed in only a cloth showed up and started following them, only to be chased away by one of the soldiers. It is sometimes theorized that this boy had been dead and was brought back to life when Jesus said "I am" because the original Hebrew text used the word for burial cloth to describe the boy's cloth and there might have been a cemetery nearby the garden. It's pretty interesting, and it would make sense considering all the other stories of people being brought back to life in the Bible.
Bro how do you manage to be loud as hell and quiet as shit at the same time, your voice booming through my tv speakers was shaking my room hut I still couldn't understand a single word you said lmao
In Islam knowing God's true name requires a great revelation it's not a bad thing im anyway actually alot of scholars would strive to learn it so they can ask God by his true name, because if you know God's true name he will give you anything you ask as long as it's good, but the thing is God's true name will only be revealed to truly good people like the peak of humanity and so they don't usually ask for much, it's cool to learn about the differences with other monotheistic religions so like it seems in Judaism scholers know it but are afraid of saying it without proper reverence as it's a cause for punishment while in Islam just knowing means you've been granted a great blessing from God.
Also just wanna mention. Stephen is said to be a transcendent entity, even more powerful than Yhvh. Infinitely as well. So I don't think the name being censored is because of its energy. Especially since the humans in megaten are insanely powerful. I believe that atlus did because they made it to be pronounced "Yahweh" then immediately took it back and replaced the w with v in his name. Stephen >>>Yhvh power-wise.
@@Tony4YouWell technically in a way, you can say demons have more potential. Demi fiend reached out to Yhvh's level in mere 6 hours without relying on his human side. You can argue it's because his start was harsh and he faced way too powerful opponents and it was what made him too powerful too early but meh.
YHVH is a Avatar of the Great Will. Stephen is the Human Avatar of the Great Will directly, given the The Power to Observation. Observation is also given to humans to collapse the Fates of Timelines and Worlds. Chaos or Law. YHVH believes Himself to be the Great Will and attempts to induce humans and their Observation to believe it, too. That is why Y*&^%H is Censored, so YHVH can feign the I AM.
and yet YodHehVavHeh can supposedly be weakened immensely by saying mean things to him, and countless beings are able to say the name with no repercussions.
@@christopherbravo1813 Yeah but they were all the people. It's mentioned several times that demons "live" on the expanse but are formed and affected by humanity's ideas hence why Baal can change into Beelzebub (IV) or how Black Maria can be turned into Lady Danu, etc. All of humanity was changing their ideas about YHVH, it wasn't saying mean things, it was changing what basically all of creation thought of this specific being. I know and agree that IV: A's writing is silly and awful, but it kinda has a basis in other games.
The real reason no one can say his name is because normal humans lack the ability to speak in chords and many of the sounds are missing when they try. It'd take like three people in unison to say it right.
This really has given me more knowledge on the smt franchise cause when I had played smt5 I never did see any sign of him except that his essence was taken by Lucifer and that an entire group called bethel was dedicated to him and that he thinks the Nahobino are blasphemy upon the world, also and let me just say that I believe this version of the creator is in no way the same as the biblical version mainly because the smt version of him is in fact nothing more than just a giant golden head with a supiority complex and a big ego who manipulated everyone into believing he is merciful and loving when in fact he cares for nothing about the well being of Tokyo and humanity which was clearly noticeable in smt5
Just noticed this when replaying persona 3 reload, it actually gives a (maybe) official pronunciation of YHVH, although it's the same as what you say in the video. On 8/14, in Edogawa's summer class, it's one of the incantations he always does at the beginning of the lesson. It's not voice acted, but the game spells it out as "Yod-Hey-Vav-Hey" so at least we get confirmation that the third letter is pronounced "Vav". It's not exactly a confirmation but it's something i guess.
In-lore, maybe it is part of the explanation. But IRL I've seen a few people become very offended when Hashem's 4-letter name was sometimes used in discussions, so maybe it simply was just Atlus trying to avoid potential unnecessary trouble? (even if they still got some other trouble with Vishnu controversies). These offended people might not be representative of the majority of Judaism's believers though, I'd be interested to know what's the most mainstream take on that
Some Jews object to it, others say that the only language that can be used to express it is Biblical Hebrew, and any other language is only a shadow of a representation. Some Jews even write G-d as a way to indicate that God’s name is sacred and should be not profaned. Anyway, SMT is not really a concept grokkable by Judaism, because all spiritual entities that are or were incorporeal derive their ability by God’s Grace, and if it’s withdrawn, they cease to exist. Judaism has angels and demons, but both groups serve God unceasingly, except on Shabbat. They just have different jobs.

The correct rendering and translation of the third commandment is shown below:
La thasha ath Sham YA'OH Ala'aycha la-shoa chay la-yanakah YA'OH ath ashar yasha ath Shamo la-shoa!
(You will not lift up the name YA'OH, your deity, to disrespect, for YA'OH will not forgive whoever will lift up His name to disrespect.)
As long as you are not mocking, blaspheming or ascribing His name to evil you can say it. It is commanded that those in His covenant sing to His name, praise His name, love His name, know His name, fear His name, etc.

Today I learned that 99% of the time when someone chides you for "saying God's name in vain" they have no idea what they are talking about.
Oh really because only the Vadic God is the true God.
You'd be surprised on how little do these types of people actually know about the Bible.
@@mqfii8992 I really wouldnt be. :/

@@Tony4You no.
Something that always amazed me is the fact that even other cosmic Gods cannot say his name.
Demons fear it.
Humans cannot understand it.
Angels revere it.
But Gods? What’s their excuse?
Simply mind blowing.
Never thought about that. I suppose other gods would be diminished in power to be consider just "demons" though we don't know for sure
The way Apocalypse painted it is that humans created those gods. So naturally when he became aware he nerfed them
I mean, considering YHVH defeated them to establish, it's either by fear or respect.
If I were to hazard a guess it's probably because the mere mention of his name establishes his influence in the Gods' domain
iirc In SMT4, Merkabah warned that YHVH will never stop tormenting neutral/ chaos Flynn and co as long as the is a soul that believed in him. Having his name mentioned reinforced the proof his existence (to the entity saying it and the party who listened) and the rest of the pagan gods probably don't want that.
tl;dr Omnipotent Beetlejuice.
The God of all gods
One interesting thing about the name YHVH:
In ancient Mesopotamian occultism, knowing and speaking a demons name was a magic spell of its own, an invocation. The whole "don't use HIS name in vain" commandment is likely to come from that belief.

quick correction:
in the hebrew which would have been spoken at the time the old testament was written, paleo hebrew, was a pure abjad, vav could not be a vowel it would only be a consonant, it specifically would've been "wāw", (it is still to this day in arabic) the ability to be a semi vowel came about later partially thanks to heavy influence from aramaic and the switch from W to V seems to have occurred at some point to the would be european jews since unlike them, yemeni jews preserved the W pronounication.
and a fun fact, it is believed that to the canaanite peoples who eventaully became the israelites, yhwh was a sort of wind god which may explain why his name is so breathy, in those times and places, breathing, wind and air were all heavily associated with life itself and thanks to the semitic root system one can see this easily, where the word for soul is neshama and the word for "he breathed" is nasham, ghost/spirit is roo'akh and wind is also roo'akh. this association might've been one of the reasons that eventually yhwh was seen as above all the other gods, since if he controlled life he clearly was very powerful.

What I love about the SMT Franchise is that the Devs really do their research on the Religious Figures of all Pantheons and what they mean. Studying Religions is something I do a lot so seeing a game that has Religious Symbolism as one of the main focuses is something I love
Just some food for thought about religious discourse in general:
In Taoism there's this book called Tao Te King (or Ching) and the very first chapter goes like "the Tao that can be spoken is not the eternal (or real) Tao".
And then there's Kabbalah, which is kind of terrifying in how closely it parallels Taoism.

I can confirm that saying his name out loud, random miracles can happen. One time I randomly mispronounced his name, while I was singing a U2 song while bathing, and now I have to explain why the hell all the water in my house turned to wine.
And here I thought it was because His name was spelled with only consonants (except for maybe the Y, but close enough)
Yahweh means "I am"
Eheyeh means "I will become"
They are different tenses of the same word.
Ah that is very interesting, I had no idea about the Babylonian roots. Thanks!

@@christopherbravo1813 Babylon and Assur were a part of, and later a continuation of, the even more ancient Akkadian empire and were settled around 2000BCE, around the time when the people of Canaan were transitioning from semi-nomadic to city states. I love how SMT recognizes YHVH as especially Mary Sue'ish even among monotheistic deities as he's literally just that kid on the playground who goes "nuh uh you" the deity while also delving deep into the utter hypocrisy in a lot of his teachings
This somehow all translates through his facial expression alone
Hypocrisy?
That's harsh
@@brotbrotsen1100 I mean it's not wrong either. Most gods have some form of weakness/flaw or a specific thing they govern over but YHVH is just stated to be over everything and completely flawless and beyond reproach. Smt portrays this by him being a constant force in the universe thats above 99% of other characters In the series in power and resets/destroys worlds when things don't go his way.
@@LainWithSweetTea Can't disagree with that.
I suppose it could go either way, though if you deny his power like in Apocalypse maybe he couldn't do anything at all. Makes you think
I have actually heard a rabbi use that pronunciation when explaining (privately) why the name wasn't said. We more-or-less agreed that, while others may think it silly, losing reverence for the Almighty is akin to the death of a religious belief. There's no need to explain further to one who jealously guards their piety.
Glad I got it right lol. Hope you enjoyed the video!

All church teaches nowadays is the resurection and some censored stories. Need more substance
Ah yes, the old testament in the days without the grace. A certified hood classic.
The name YHVH comes from the verb HVH , it means to exist
Yes those are the roots in the Hebrew script. Good catch

Well, all the games are canon to each other though so Messiah is TECHNICALLY a canon character in SMT games; same for say Thanatos or any other character that was only introduced in Persona or any other Spin-Off
SMT taught me bible more than sunday school and church itself.

1:53 funny since most of the time a miracle is currently happening while a couple is chanting "oh god" over and over again
More of this kind of content , very interesting.
There's a UA-camr that would probably love to collab over this very subject: Dr Sledge of Esoterica.
You guys couldn't utter 《record screech》?
The real reason no one can say his name is because normal humans lack the ability to speak in chords and many of the sounds are missing when they try. It'd take like three people in unison to say it right.
Oh very interesting, it makes more sense that humans simply don't have the ability to say it properly.
Sounds like the Biblical version to me.
i dont know what SMT is and i didnt realize this was an SMT video until the end
LOL I get that a lot actually with my vids. I try to make my videos able to be enjoyed by everyone, so I hope you still liked it
It is pronounced " aaaCHO!" The refrain is "God Bless you'"
TRUE
Just noticed this when replaying persona 3 reload, it actually gives a (maybe) official pronunciation of YHVH, although it's the same as what you say in the video.
On 8/14, in Edogawa's summer class, it's one of the incantations he always does at the beginning of the lesson. It's not voice acted, but the game spells it out as "Yod-Hey-Vav-Hey" so at least we get confirmation that the third letter is pronounced "Vav".
It's not exactly a confirmation but it's something i guess.
Bleach fans: Yeehaww Man? You have Bach? Ywawah? What gemacht?
I am learning alot about yhvh from a friend and I hope to learn alot more. These videos really help alot thank - you.
Really glad people are using my videos to learn!
I usually call him record scratch lol
It gets the job done lol
@@Tony4You easy sub btw hahaha! Definitely make more of these if you want, this was an interesting and entertaining watch
4:03 Adachi Jumpscare
In-lore, maybe it is part of the explanation.
But IRL I've seen a few people become very offended when Hashem's 4-letter name was sometimes used in discussions, so maybe it simply was just Atlus trying to avoid potential unnecessary trouble? (even if they still got some other trouble with Vishnu controversies). These offended people might not be representative of the majority of Judaism's believers though, I'd be interested to know what's the most mainstream take on that
Yeah that makes sense, though the fact it also shows they did their homework helped lol
Exactly. It's an example of how real world politics/theology enrich the lore of a video game
What a unbelievable petty being this God person is.
