It's funny how the Fiends go from a Matador, a monk, Ghost Rider, and then the horsemen of the apocalypse, the harlot of the bible, and the trumpeter of the end times. It went from "Eh, that's creepy", to "WOW, WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!"
@@Emily12471 Starts with fighting smiling snowmen and onion-headed chickens - ends with fighting GOD AND THE DEVIL. Actually, that's JRPG in a nutshell 🤣
Mother Harlot is such a good design, my girlfriend who doesn't even play SMT name-dropped it as her favorite demon when she was watching me play SMT V.
Daisoujou does have skin. If you notice his bones are not stark white like the others, they are a graying brown, like mummified skin clinging to the bone.
My favorite has to be Matador. Just because I'm Spanish? Yeah. It's quite hilarious seeing a bullfighter being a boss in a JRPG, but when you're laughing thinking you're fighting Morante or José Tomás (spanish bullfighters), he destroys you because you were too busy laughing at him. Also, it's my favorite Nocturne boss gameplay-wise.

Matador's my favorite. He's powerful, well designed, and has excellent mannerisms for a boss. Whether he's hamming it up in pre battle foreplay or annoying you with Red Capote and Dekunda, he's excellent. *"Charge me with all your strength! Your horns cannot pierce my soul!"*- Mattador
I always associated Hell Biker as a reference to Marvel's Ghost Rider, who takes inspiration from the wild west story of a rider who collects the souls of the damned. This story also draws inspiration from various stories of waves of ghosts (In particular the Wild Hunt)
Trumpeter is my favorite by far, I love when you fight the fiends in Strange Journey, because his encounter is random, they are insanely strong, they can wipe your entire party in one hit, and the most amazing fact, is that in Strange Journey, the first time you encounter a demon, you can only see it in the form of some blue floating thing, but with the fiends, you see them in his true form. I remember when I first encounter matador....I know I was doomed....

Sorry for being late, my favorite of the fiends is the Trumpter. It was great to learn about the non Christian fiends, unfortunately considering their status as super bosses they don't really play that much of a role in the story besides gate locking progression sometimes.
I’ve been trying to have all the fiends in my SMT 3 and SMT V games, but it’s a bear to do! They’re all so cool though but imagine if we had Demi-Fiend with all the Amala Fiends (I call them this because Alice is also of the fiend race, and there might be others as well and also because it makes them seem special) VS all the Persona MCs. They would probably get OWNED (the Persona MCs not Demi-Fiend)!!
Would be nice if you could do a follow-up with the non-Nocturne fiends. Chemtrail is pretty silly, but David appears as a fiend in several games, and isn't immediately obvious why he's just named "David."
A small correction. The black horseman doesn't actually speak, that's one of the 4 living creatures (ie one of the seraphim) (When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “Two pounds of wheat for a day’s wages, and six pounds of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!)
I dunno if you're interested, but there's more to Hell's Biker than just being a parody of Hell's Angels. Each Fiend reprents a herald of death, the way this is symbolized in Hell's Biker can be best seen in SMTIII. During the 1970/80s there was a huge Satanic scare, with one of the victims of this being bikers. With the popularity of bikes rising among counter cultures, gangs of bikers became feared as violent Satanists, and the sound of bikes in the distance became a symbol of coming doom. Exploitation film makers noticed this, and it managed to permeate through society due to movies involving gangs of mad, murderous bikers. Pretty soon the sound of bikes would lead to panicked calls to the police as people thought death was coming.
Very interesting, I may have glossed over Hell Biker mostly for a joke, but there really is a lot to talk about in regards to that figure. I just don't want to risk a visit to my house lol
@@Tony4You You'd more likely be visited by their lawyers, as Hell's Angels is copy right protected now they're a big business. The irony of that counter culture ending up a corporation is pretty funny, but that's likely why they had to change the name from Hell's Angel in future games. :p
Even if it is a pretty late comment my favourite is white rider by far, I don't know exactly why but maybe it has something to do with the horse itself and those eyes, trumpeter is also amazing. It shows how this fiends could be view in a number of ways not exactly evil but not good either, is akin to them bringing the end as a task, something that has to happen. Also sorry for any instances of broken english
Okay, I completely tripped on Daisoujou. I already knew about the buddhist monks who self-mummified, but since the robes of those mummies had a variety of different colors (with red being more prevalent), I always figured Daisoujou's design to be inspired by the Lovecraftian "King in Yellow", which made more sense to me as a Fiend.
I hope I can get around to them eventually, but there are a lot and my videos could get REALLY long if I covered huge clumps of demons. One day though!
@@Tony4You yeah, sometimes i forget that are so many fiends lmao, but they're really cool, checking the foul race might be good too, they're pretty interesting since most of them are based on pop culture monsters, films, urban legends etc, but good luck dude!

Sorry for being late, my favorite of the fiends is the Trumpter. It was great to learn about the non Christian fiends, unfortunately considering their status as super bosses they don't really play that much of a role in the story besides gate locking progression sometimes.
11:34 you telling me that Famine had the power of inflation 💀💀💀
SMT lore binge watching time!!
I'm glad people like the series!
More people expressed interest in the other fiends than I imagined so I hope I can find a way to talk about them at some point too
Yes, the Amala Fiends and their king have become the face of the SMT side of Atlus!
On the significance of the number 7, the plot of Devil Survivor takes place over 7 days.
I felt like a real crack pot researching that segment, but I think it's awesome
Lets go!
💪😎
Theres a hells angels hq next to where i live, lots of tough looking guys come in and out of them
To be honest, I should be sleeping right now, but the video is worth it
I've heard people use my videos to get to sleep lol. Either way I hope you enjoy
@@Tony4You oh I did enjoy it. Always glad to receive notification about your video.
"Doot doot, givin the world the boot" Trumpeter, probably.
Revelation 12:7 The angel spoke to me, "doot"
Pale Rider and Hell Biker are probably my two favorites.
Would be nice if you could do a follow-up with the non-Nocturne fiends. Chemtrail is pretty silly, but David appears as a fiend in several games, and isn't immediately obvious why he's just named "David."
A small correction. The black horseman doesn't actually speak, that's one of the 4 living creatures (ie one of the seraphim)
(When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “Two pounds of wheat for a day’s wages, and six pounds of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!)
Ah yes that is widely considered to be true. Regardless the significance of him remains the same. Thanks for clarifying though
13:37 those Persona memories coming back from this track mmmm
Hear the trumpets, hear the pipers,
100 million angels singing…
White rider and mother harlot are my favourites in terms of designs, lore and usefulness.
King in Yellow is another being in SMT universe. But i never saw it outside Persona
that was neat man, can you do a video about all the other fiends too?
I hope I can get around to them eventually, but there are a lot and my videos could get REALLY long if I covered huge clumps of demons. One day though!
@@Tony4You yeah, sometimes i forget that are so many fiends lmao, but they're really cool, checking the foul race might be good too, they're pretty interesting since most of them are based on pop culture monsters, films, urban legends etc, but good luck dude!
I know I’m late but I’m pretty sure the skeleton biker was a reference to Ghost Rider. Not the Hell’s Angels.
Trumpeteer is the one i like the best
and i forgot where i read it but there some sequence about 4 horsemen
here comes king of conquest bent on war on which will cause famine that will create pestilence on which Death will come in the end
some thing like that i forgot where i read it tho
Ayo? Sponsor4Tony4You? LET'S GOOOOO
Big dub and step forward for the channel! I'm happy it could be something helpful to everyone
@@Tony4You Might actually pick up some of those SMT Pixel keychains I've been looking at for a while so I'm definitely gonna be hittin up
