NEGLECTED property RESCUED! Struggling single mum NEEDS help - part 1

- Hello everyone,
Welcome to.......ANOTHER mini project.
This one isn't as big as the other one I am currently working on but it is overgrown in a totally different way.
I am currently unable to get to the other job I am working on due to a wasp problem. I should be back there very soon as they have just now been bombed and have been told it just needs a couple of days to ensure they are all dead.
This lady reached out to me asking for help. She is a single mother to 5 kids! All of them are school aged or younger. She is also studying full time so as you can imagine, looking after the garden is something not very high on her priority list.
When I arrived to start working here I thought originally I was just going to do lawns but when I spoke with her she told me I had the green light to do any work I wanted...music to my ears! I will be tidying all the overgrown shrubs and trees, weeding garden beds and mowing the lawns.
A few hours after I had left today, I received a text message from the client expressing how grateful she was for the work I have done so far. She said the kids came home from school that day and spent all afternoon playing in the front yard! THIS is why I love doing what I do!!!
Please remember that the way to best support me and my channel is by subscribing and hitting that thumbs up. Doing this will keep my channel growing and allow me to continue helping people in my community that are in need.
Thanks to income made through UA-cam advertising and the Buy Me A Coffee page, I am able to do this work free of charge.

Thanks for watching and see you again soon.
How wonderful of you to help this family out. Spectacular work sir !!!
Not so big of a front yard but a big mess of one. The back yard is another story. I'm glad you'll have a ride-on for that. Good one, Ryan
Love your work! I think it is a pitty you don't do your intro infront of the camera, like you did do a few times. It makes the videos more personal and i think that will attract more viewers and subscribers. ❤❤❤
I've often considered this but I find people prefer when I just get right into the work.
This wasn't an easy one, although a small yard.😅 Hope the weather cooperates for the back yard. I'll tune in again. Your Oregon Viewer
Great job Ryan you do such beautiful work with this property🎉
Very nice job on the front. I'm glad the kids came home and got to play. Looking forward to the next video. Keep on keeping on 😊
Nice project to get stuck in to. Lovely garden to tackle, brilliant 👏
Another great job Ryan, thank you for helping this lady.
Love when there's more videos to come. Great work as usual, keep the clean ups rolling.
Great job! That's cool they have a fence around the whole yard, Great for the kids safety.
Wonderful you’re helping people in need!! Nice job and very pleasant video!!🎉🎉😊😊😊
Oh that looks so much neater and opened up! Love it that the kids were out enjoying it after you finished it. That also gives mom a break and some quiet time. Look forward to Part 2! 😁 See you then!
What a wonderful, kind thing to do to support this single mom and her children, it will make such a difference for them…even after the first day the kids are enjoying the outdoors! You never know what a positive impact your help and attention can have on others. Great job!
Oh wow, the backyard will be an absolute blessing for her kids! What fun for them when they can just go outside and play, play, play!!
Could not have found a more deserving family. The work you've done looks so nice! ♥️👍
It is a wonderful feeling to help her and the family out. Thank you.
Wonderful job so far. Blessings to this family and to you for helping her.
We never really know everything someone is going through. She does have her hands full it seems.
Looks great, looking forward to the next video !!!!!
WOW, couldn’t get over how big that back yard is! It’s going to be beautiful when finished. Thank you for helping her. Does she have someone lined up to maintain it? 💚
Yep, me! 😊
Wonderful!! I love your videos, hugs from Brazil 🫶🌱🌳💚
Thank you for watching 😊
You really are a good person, and you’ve done a fantastic job on top of that! 😊❤
Thank you.
Ever think of getting a chipper/mulcher, less bulk material , maybe able to leave on site, less trip's and cost taking to land-fill.
Yeah, im thinking much the same thing for my own heavy gardening/light farming thing too.
Times like this job, with the bed next to the front of house, being able to have a good coating of woodchips there to help retard weed growth would certainly be helpful.
And even on sites that have no garden beds, mulching up the stuff makes it pretty easy to drop off somewhere else you might know would be in need on chips.. like perhaps a local school/kindy
You did a lot of work while you were there, even with the uncooperative rain. Just trimming up the trees and picking up trash made a big difference. That will be a cute yard when you finish. The back yard looks to be a challenge. So glad you will have a ride on for that part, the back is huge! You need to tell us the trick with the disappearing green waste. That would come in handy, for sure. Great video, and a great start to this series. Thank you for letting us be a part of helping this lady and her children. ❤️
This is so nice of you to help her. Well done as always. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Really love your choices in sorting out the yard. Hard hard work we sit back and watch! ❤
The lady has plants and seeds and a compost bin. (That Dalek compost bin needs a door cover.) And with a helping hand from you, she's off to a great start. Awesome job, Ryan!
She has good intentions, let's hope she runs with it.
I am a grandmother, I am 66 years old and I look at your work with respect. If I had such an assistant, I would be happy. Have a nice day and good luck
Hey 👋 from across the pond 🇺🇸
I'm so glad you have helped this lady and her family, Ryan. It just goes to show that there are still some lovely people in the world who will do something for someone else without expecting anything in return. You should be nominated for an award for being a local hero! It's such a shame that the 'lawn' is so awful, but I know it would cost too much to replace. Is there any type of grass that does well underneath trees, as well as coping with the local weather? I hope that the lady does start a little garden, complete with flowers as well as veggies, but I would personally prefer the veggies to be in the back garden, away from all that traffic, especially as it's so big! She could teach her children how to plant and (hopefully, successfully) grow their own little patch and subtly get them involved in helping to keep it all maintained.
So good the children were able to use this front garden immediately. You've made a great difference to the family. Thank you.
Stellar jib so far! 🌱🌱🌱
Looking good Ryan as always .👍❤️
I believe the green bin is for compost. Thanks for your thoughtful hard work.
God bless you❤
I can understand the overgrown condition of the yard, but I will never understand all the trash. Unless she moved in with the yard in that mess, I’m sorry, but I cannot think of any excuse for all the trash! With 5 kids some of them should be old enough to do chores. They could surely put paper and stuff in the trash can.
You sure did an excellent job cleaning up this part of the yard!
🤣Love your disappearing clippings "magic"😂 AWESOME work Ryan🤗
🎩
What kind of bird do we hear in the beginning? I don't recognize the sound?
I'll have to play it back but I'm guessing a magpie.
Lol 💜 the magic!!!
🎩
😂 The bin is a composter mate.
Yea but it's filled with cardboard and they are using it to start their little firepit up.
Too bad. If she moved it back to the fence and used it to compost the grass and leaves she’d soon have some pretty rich soil for her garden beds.
Both my parents worked 60 hrs + each week. They still had time to tell me to get my butt outside and cut that grass.
Well kids nowadays don’t do as much as we did.
Ну мусор собрать и детям можно, а лучше приучить не бросать мусор.
okay boomer
One parent with 5 kids and full-time study is more than 60 hours a week. I think it's most important not to judge.
Great work. What a great big backyard. The kids will love it once you have finished.
What horrible grass that is. You have done a wonderful job. Bless you . Please take care
Nice job Ryan!!
Great video. The lady is lucky to have you 🙂👍👏🇨🇵
Nice job in the front yard. Huge backyard! Can’t wait to see what you do with it
Flame thrower? 🤣
@@earthtrimgardens2249 I’ve thought about that before on some of your jobs 🤣
Excellent as usual my friend
Thank you mate. Right back at ya!
That lady really needs help. I can't imagine bringing up 5 kids on my own. We'll done Ryan.
There's hard work and then there's raising 5 kids!
Loved part 1! Liked the way the trees framed the space & made it cosy & inviting - no wonder the kids liked it! I encourage you to look at a yard from a kid's point of view if they're in the household or visit often. Spaces like these are great for play. Please some lower branches or hollowed out bushes.I spent most of my primary school years under some bushes & trees playing cubbies & as a teacher I've seen generations of kids doing the same at schools. Each time you visit you could add a little suprise space somewhere or a collection of sticks & bricks. Perhaps don't toss the old tramp or tarps - put them aside for cubbies. Mum could make a sign at the end - Cubby season is open. Rules: everyone can make a cubby, even me. No pinching other people's stuff. No stuff from outside the yard allowed (unless you beg mum & do extra chores!). Must have a safety officer. Area must be kept clean. Mum could also show them an Emu Pick in the back yard before you come next time - winner gets to write you a thank you or draw ❤ in a sandy spot. Loved the magic, love to see it again. The crows "talked" at just the right moment. Perhaps get a sound effect for moments like those (Drain Addict has a kookaburra laugh). You do great work & I enjoy your videos. Thank you.
Love this comment ❤️
Crack on Mate !!!
Excellent job as ALWAYS Ryan!! Keep doing what you do!! 😇 = YOU!! 🙏🏻
I understand being a single mom, but have all 5 kids help pick up the trash and dispose of it.
It did cross my mind too.
Wow that’s a busy road to live on! Good job can’t wait to see the rest.👍
Yea it's the main road that connects the peninsula all the way to our city.
You are one of my favorite creators. Always willing to help and I love it.
Thank you.
I think between mom and 5 kids they could have picked up all the trash 🙄
Yeah, presuming that was her leaving out the gate, she blazed with only a smile and nary an offer to help in sight.
Like corralling feral cats. She mentioned it was like this when she moved in.
How many children do you have?
The kid that walked past was off to school, I think we need to think about priorities and not judge.
I always enjoy each new post. The yard is looking so much better already . Looking forward to the next episode ! Blessings from Texas
A very kind act indeed. But having five children is really a bit challenging. I hope she won’t have anymore coz it would unfair for the children. Single mom for five? Very kind of you to lend a helping hand.
I bet your hard work was appreciated by this single mum. Excellent job Ryan, very kind of you. Look forward to the backyard! Have a nice day 😊
Mir macht es den Eindruck eines verlassenenen Grundstücks.............auf jeden Fall gut, dass Du helfen kannst.
You are doing her and her children such a tremendous kindness!!! The children are going to enjoy watching those seeds grow, and being able to play in the their own yard. Bless you for being you ❤
A new big project - Ryan that’s incredible. Mom needs to put that compost bin to good use since she wants to garden. Empty the trash and find a convenient spot for it and she’ll end up with amazing soil to add to her garden. The front looks so much better with the heavy part of the trees gone. Great job!😊
Wow by giving the children a front yard play/ hang out area, fresh air that will get them sleeping that much better also, awesome work
Lovely to see the children have somewhere clean and safe to play. Good job
I agree not a big yard but a mess, why not put everything you use need and tidy in one spot, then it will not look as bad as everything standing around. Sorry for the rain, but I think the grass need it. Job well done❤
See you at the next part. Thank you for helping this lady. 😊
Great job Ryan, you’re making a lot of people very happy. ❤
Wow , job n half this one . I do personally feel the trees in front left of garden should of gone so the grass got more light , esp the ones at front near gate.
Back yard this place is going to be amazing
Great start mate, will look great when done I am sure 👍
All that rain will make it all turn green and grow back!
Truly grand effort and support,
That ground cover under the tree is gonna take over. Wish you had cut it down 😢
how lovely the kids got to play outside!
A prší a prší. V tom se nedá pracovat, ale na tomhle pozemku se ještě uvidíme 😊. Je tam mnoho práce a ty pracuješ velmi pečlivě! 👍👍👍🏆👋🌿
Great job looks nice 😊😊😊
I subscribed as a way of supporting you for your kindness. Thank you so much! I've never been here but I will watch your videos from now on.
They say it's important to watch to the very end of videos, so I will be sure to do that. And a thumbs up lol.
Thank you, I appreciate that.
Great job on the clean up!
Trees offer leaf problem
Amazing work today 🥳🥳 how many hours in real time did it take you? Looks so much better now
This part was 3-3.5 hours.
Great job Ryan.
God bless you ❤❤❤
Great job!
A meter wide dense hedge would cut the traffic noise better
Definitely would!
Yay x
The bin with no bottom is composed bin
Yep, not sure how I didn't know that haha
🙂
I’ve never seen a trash can with no bottom.
It's actually a compost bin being used as storage for cardboard for them to light their fire pit.

👏
And this Lady wasn‘t able to pick up the rubbish from her property with a bag in her hand to help you? But she was able to make a phone call! Only those who help themselves appreciate such hard work. This Lady was neither old nor sick. Thank you for your effort. Greetings 🇩🇪
Ryan ur funny, how as a gardener did u not know tht was a compost bin 😁🫣🤭
I'm going to say I was tired...yep 🤣
