NECA re-releases figures to give fans a second chance to pick up popular characters, but at $10 instead of the $15. They trim the accessories to keep the lower price point (If they re-released with the bases, they'd be closer to $20 than the original price point) and to keep the "Collectablilty" of the original release. It's a great opportunity to pick up characters you missed on the cheap if you don't mind the fewer accessories, but in most cases it'd be preferable to hunt down the originals.
I don't think this movie is overrated, I think it did very well as one of the first real mainstream hollywood vampire movie, Near Dark was a great movie but i think Lost Boys was one of those movies that came along at just the right time, much like alot of the 80s movie gems just was good timing, I mean I could almost say what about the movie Vamp, but then I realized...hmmm maybe not lol, btw I'd take Lost boys over any of those Twilight movies any day of the week ;)
Collecting is a fun hobby! if people grew up in the 80's they would understand how cool it is to have someone made from your own favorite movies. To the guy that said near dark was a better movie, he is right but this movie still rocked way more than that Twilight BS!
Neca's been re releasing alot of their older figures in scaled down versions in the last couple of years, pretty much the exact same figure but without alot of the accesories, or missing their display stand, they've done this with not only the lost boys but also Freddy vs Jason, Jason Voorhees, The Crow, Beetlejuice, and Evil Dead Army of Darkness Ash, I cant figure out why scale them back unless for them its just a cost saving measure, but I always try to find the originals on ebay if I can
Was there 2 David's put out, cause I bought one and he didnt come with all those accessories? Was it from a different series or something? oh and i dont remember him coming out with those shoes.
No, the trophy for first real mainstream Hollywood movie goes to The Hunger. Following The Hunger, came Fright Night. Following Fright Night came Vamp. And this not counting Stephen King's Salem's Lot which was a made for TV movie. NECA doesn't make any Near Dark figures, do they? Nope. My point stands. People missed out on the greatest vampire movie ever made because the kids were going ga-ga over those 80's pop bitches in Lost Boys. Lost Boys was the 80's Twilight!
Long coat....? No way,,,is Columbo also a Vampire? Cowboy boots and a long coat,,,so Pale Rider Clint is a Vapire too : ) Wait a minute now i get it,,the Matrix is a Vampire movie,,i didn t know that : ) (just joking) Figure is also nice to make a custom 24 figure. Nice review!!
Finally picked this figure up today complete! Great movie but the sequels are awful and the 2nd one really pissed me off by only using Corey Haim for about a minute.
😒hmmmmmm, thinking here i am. ok got it. they should had made all the characters in to action figures + they also should have made David and Michael a lot smaller then they did. that's way i didn't buy both action figures, they are way to big for me.
This is a must buy for anyone that grew up watching 80's horror movies.
lovin these older reviews.....cult classics really are classics at this point....very nice figure
Do They Make A Dwayne From The Lost Boys ?
The Frog brothers would've been nice to the Lost Boys collection
the coat is something that Kiefer Sutherland wore during Flatliner (1990)

Mannn I wish figures this good were released today and not at an absurd price. Every other company these days is obsessed with articulation.

One of my all time favorite 80’s movies, sadly the sequels unfortunately did not live up to the first one ....in my opinion
Agree but still like them nonetheless.
Just got my figure today Love love love love it.
I wish they would do figures of Seth and Richie Gecko, Sex Machine (human, vampire or rat-creature) or Santanico.

ESSESSERIE. that's how you pronounce accessory.
nice figure but would much rather own a Jerry Dandridge from Fright Night. Did any company make one?
Only third parties but their really fucking bad and absurdly expensive

I know I’m like a decade late but if one movie was to get a set it would need to be the lost boys or Jaws.
