You know, regardless of the show's quality, you can't deny that Randall plan actually makes a lot of sense. He's a veteran worker of the scaring children day of the factory, so his knowledge of the canisters functions and the building's layout has credence for all we know of him. Being rescued by a Roar Omega Roar colleague (the head of the group nonetheless) is also fitting, given that his turn to the dark side was by joining said brotherhood and ditching Oozma Kappa on Monster's University. They did their homework very well at the writing department.

Same! Honestly this makes me curious if they'll end up going through with a redemption for him like the rumored scrapped script they had for the next Monsters Inc movie. Maybe he could finally get a taste of how the world's changed since he's been gone and, being on his own outside of anyone else's plans could give him a new perspective! That or he keeps on being a villain, manipulating people in the shadows, or, maybe even breaking out waternoose and building his own group of henchmen to take over MI once and for all! Either way just happy to see my boy back, he's been my favorite ever since I was a kid. M.U. made him so much more sympathetic for me, and cemented him as my favorite.

This has to be one of the few times where in a series that is a continuation of a movie, they bring back said movie's villain as the main antagonist of the series. I hope when this is all over, Randall gets banished again.
Except he CHOOSES to join ROR to be with the cool kids and take part in the mean prank which betrays Mike as a result. Be petty over a minor incident like at the final Scare Games event is what really make him a villain against Sulley and Mike so you could say, not so innocent.

Honestly i really like how this show (specially the second season) expands on the stuff the original film had. Like how the change to laugh power was necessary and Scream energy was on it's last legs thanks to children not being easily scared anymore
i was so worried that if randall came back they would ruin his character, so i was delighted that they kept his personality like it was in mi, hope to see him again in season 3!!
I like it that they brought him back, but I don't really get it though. He says "Me and Johnny go waaaay back, we were practically joined at the hip, besties" but at the end of MU it shows Johnny blaming Randall for losing the scare test, they were all upset at him and he was presumably kicked out of ROR house because of it. I feel like Johnny wouldn't even have known about him being "banished" since he worked with his father at his competitor company Fear Co.
Excited to see not only Randall back but Steve Buscemi reprising the role. Nobody does it better than him! Wish they could have gotten him for Kingdom Hearts!
I knew Randall was behind the sabotage the moment Sully picture of Boo went missing, I mean who else knew about Sully relationship with Boo and had the motive to ruin monster Inc as part of some revenge plot against Sully and Mike, and was sneaky enough to pull it off, plus I had a feeling that he working with Johnny and framed Tylor to get him on their side, I just didn't know how he manage to escape the human world until now.
Gotta give Randall props, dude looks scrawny but is surprisingly strong. Dude held his own in a tug of war against several monsters who were bigger than him.
I liked how Randall got rescued in the human world because it canonically places Johnny as another monster capable of scaring adults

I was screaming and leaped from my seat when randall appeared!!! I was shaking after. He's my favorite character and I'm so happy he was back. I almost thought he wasn't gonna appear again, but then pixar pulled this!

Honestly i really like how this show (specially the second season) expands on the stuff the original film had. Like how the change to laugh power was necessary and Scream energy was on it's last legs thanks to children not being easily scared anymore
i was so worried that if randall came back they would ruin his character, so i was delighted that they kept his personality like it was in mi, hope to see him again in season 3!!

I like it that they brought him back, but I don't really get it though.
He says "Me and Johnny go waaaay back, we were practically joined at the hip, besties" but at the end of MU it shows Johnny blaming Randall for losing the scare test, they were all upset at him and he was presumably kicked out of ROR house because of it. I feel like Johnny wouldn't even have known about him being "banished" since he worked with his father at his competitor company Fear Co.
Excited to see not only Randall back but Steve Buscemi reprising the role. Nobody does it better than him! Wish they could have gotten him for Kingdom Hearts!
I knew Randall was behind the sabotage the moment Sully picture of Boo went missing, I mean who else knew about Sully relationship with Boo and had the motive to ruin monster Inc as part of some revenge plot against Sully and Mike, and was sneaky enough to pull it off, plus I had a feeling that he working with Johnny and framed Tylor to get him on their side, I just didn't know how he manage to escape the human world until now.
