You might have heard of the Organisation of Turkic States which consists of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan. They are now talking about a Turkic union in their meeting in Samarkhand. This is going to be a Turkic century
There are 14 Turkic muslim republics in Russia proper which are Adygea, Altai, Bashkortostan, Buryatia, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, Sakha, Tatarstan, Tuva, Khakassia, Chechnya, Chuvashia.
Some of these republics are rich in oil and gas while some like Tatarstan and Bashkortostan while being rich in oil and gas also make Jet Engines and Satellite Launch vehicles, Nuclear Reactors. If Russia disintegrates following the Ukraine war, these republics will become independent. So the current meeting is quite signifcant. Xingjiang and Qinghai provinces of China are Turkic muslim Provinces, so the Turkic states will provide a moral support for these 2 provinces in China
