Thank you so much Victoria , appreciate your lovely feedback and hope you have a beautiful time in Monaco 🥰! For well priced food and drinks in a nice setting I recommend the following : Larvotto area along the beach: La Note Bleu, Miami Plage and Sexy Tacos Condamine area : Norma Italian or Cafe Milano right on the main port and if you’re looking for something a little more high end there’s La Mome which is actually right above the port palace hotel. A little more expensive but outstanding every time with incredible views. There is also the terrace bar in the Fairmont hotel which could be nice for drinks and they also have food menus, although I’ve never eaten there if I’m honest ! There are also lots of cute options along the Fontvieille port - the residential area we saw from above in my video. I will be staying in villefranche as my base next June but I def want to do a spa day and shopping in Monaco. ❤ Xerjoff is amazing. So many things to check out What's your favorite spa? Is there a Dior store as well?
Hi Stacy, that’s a great plan ! I don’t often go to spas in Monaco but there is indeed a Dior boutique in the new modern shopping area right by Place du Casino 💕
Kristina, this is a very well done video! Also, I love your dress!!! Could you please tell me what type of dress is it? It’s beautiful. That’s the type of dress that suits many women! Thank you ☺️
Thanks for the tour. It was well done. I expect people asked you before how you ended up living there and what you do for a living. If you already addressed that question, would you mind pointing me to that video?
Hi thanks for watching ! I first moved to Monaco with my family when i was 13. Stayed for a few years and then left after finishing high school. Shortly before the pandemic, I moved back. I’m a presenter and content creator. There are 3 ways to get residency in Monaco and if you’re interested on learning more about that, I could definitely look into making a video with useful info on that matter :)
@@Kristinahouwer Thanks for the quick response. Your UA-cam presentation was very polished and entertaining. I wouldn't want to live in Monaco, but will probably visit it while keeping in mind your pointers. Again, thanks for your post.
Thank you for this awesome video! We will be visiting in September! Did you pay for the bus with an app on your phone or did you use a wallet app with your credit card info?
Yes 100%. I love that walk and one of my very first vlogs was actually from a section of it :) The Vista Palace recently got redone and rebranded and is now called the Maybourne Riviera. It’s more modern now and the views from there are just as spectacular as before ! Thanks for watching
@@Kristinahouwer I've lived in Monaco for quite a long time (in Larvotto) and I'm just used to calling it the Vista Palace :0). I work here as a photographer and although I work all over the world, Monaco is still one of my favourite places for fashion shoots.
Thank you for this information! I’m 60 moderately fit and will travel alone for the first time in my life. I’ve always wanted to go to the south of France. Any suggestions for a solo female slightly scared woman 👩🏽🦱thank you!! Where to stay for 2wks and can is it a good jump off point for other must see areas in southern France? Thank you!❤
Hi, well done for taking your first solo trip! It’s a lovely way to travel and Monaco is a great place to start as people are willing to help if you’re ever lost and a lot of people speak English too. In Monaco you can stay at the Port Palace hotel, Columbus hotel, Ambassador hotel or air bnb for good value for money options and I’d also recommend exploring Cannes, St Tropez , Eze, Cap Ferrat, Menton and Provence a little further away . Have a great time !!
It stops on the port right next to the yacht club and Pattaya and then on the opposite side of the port on Quai Antoine 1er (put bateau bus into your google map and it will come up) . It goes every 20 mins from 8am-8pm
Thank you so much for uploading this ❤ I am going to celebrate New Year in Monaco with my friends and was wondering about a few things. We will be in Monaco from 30.12. till 1.1. Are shops open normally during those days, should I pack winter clothes (or does it not get that cold during winter) and can I pay everywhere by card, or should I take cash with me?
Hi thanks so much for watching the video :) you’ll have a fantastic trip ! I would take a coat especially for the evenings… in the winter I usually wear jeans / mid weight sweater / a trench coat or similar and sometimes a scarf in the evenings. Monaco has a micro climate so it’s usually warmer than surrounding areas in France. You can definitely pay by card everywhere and I use contactless every day. Places like bakeries sometimes have minimums (usually 6euro) for card payments but other than that you should be ok !
Kristina, what an amazing walk around video for those of us who want to visit Monaco. I don't see the link for your google maps guide to download. Can you repost it? Also, I am curious how the locals treat people visiting there, especially those of us from the US. I hear horror stories of how the French-mainly Paris have a disdain for foreigners and wonder if it's the same in Monaco. Thanks.
Thanks so much for letting me know that you couldn’t see it , I’ve added it in as a link again in the description and I hope you can see it now just before the timestamps 🥰 In Monaco no one is rude to you unless you’re rude to them. I give people from all over the world directions every single day and enjoy meeting foreigners and always ask where they’re from. Most people here don’t mind tourists as long as they respect the local rules for cleanliness and general etiquette. I hope you visit soon !
@@Kristinahouwer Thank you for reposting the link. I have it now and downloaded it for offline viewing. Appreciate the response and advice. Also I heard it’s pretty tough to get residency there. Can you provide some details about that or how you went about it. Thank you 🙏🏻 again.
Awesome ! The only thing that I can’t get the map to do is recognise the seaside walk from Larvotto to the Yacht club as pedestrian as there’s a tunnel involved , but trust me it’s better to take that than the upper route the map wants you to take. But that’s the only thing Google keeps getting wrong. I also made a tweak to the final stop on the map so feel free to click the link again. Residency can be obtained either by having a certain amount in an account here as well as an address or by having a « sponsor » who has those things (so a significant other in most cases). You need to spend over 6 months a year here to keep your residency and to obtain it you first do an online application and then attend an in person interview. I’ve actually helped people get it in the past with things like translations , meetings, filling out forms, sharing contacts of the best real estate agents etc. If that’s something you need assistance with, just email me: kristina@kristinahouwer.com
Thanks for watching ! I left after graduating school to explore different university and work opportunities in bigger cities. I lived in Milan, London and even Africa but recently came back to Monaco

Yay thank you for your support and for your lovely comment 😚🤩
Luxurious nice I'll get bored of it soon cause it's the same thing every day as it's a small place
I can see what you mean! I think that’s partly why it’s important to travel a lot when living here. That’s what realised from personal experience anyway
love❤❤❤
😻
Thanks for great info
Thanks for watching !
Thanks for a very informative video. We will be going to Monaco in a few days (it will be our second time there).
That’s great ! You’ll have a fab time 🤩
That’s great, you’ll have a fab time 🤩
I will be staying in villefranche as my base next June but I def want to do a spa day and shopping in Monaco. ❤
Xerjoff is amazing. So many things to check out
What's your favorite spa? Is there a Dior store as well?
Hi Stacy, that’s a great plan ! I don’t often go to spas in Monaco but there is indeed a Dior boutique in the new modern shopping area right by Place du Casino 💕
Kristina, this is a very well done video! Also, I love your dress!!! Could you please tell me what type of dress is it? It’s beautiful. That’s the type of dress that suits many women! Thank you ☺️
Thank you , I’m so glad you enjoyed the video :) the dress is from a brand called Equipment Femme. I bought it in the US a few years ago
Superlative… Merci beaucoup
😃😃
Soon ill be there 🎉
Awesome !
@Kristinahouwer can't wait 💪
Excellent video
Thanks very much 😃
Good video...Thanks from a fellow resident.
Ah that’s awesome ! Thanks for the positive feedback 🤩

I hope you get a chance to visit soon , it’s a very unique place 💕
It’s all good!
😊
Wonderful
Thank you
Thank you for this awesome video! We will be visiting in September! Did you pay for the bus with an app on your phone or did you use a wallet app with your credit card info?
I just use Apple Pay everywhere here 😃 no special apps. I hope you have a fantastic time during your trip !
Tu as très bien présenter Monaco. Mais faut pas oublier le stade Louis II 🙈 mais très belle présentation.
Merci ! ☺️
There's a very nice walk by the sea that goes from Monaco to Menton, and one of the best views looking down at Monaco is from the Vista Palace hotel.
Thank you for nice video. I would like to know where boat bus will stop on other side?
@Kristinahouwer thank you so much ❤️
Hopefully I am not wrong but you seem pretty modest, down to earth considering where you live and your traveling background
Thank you so much , that means a lot 💕💕
Hi! Nice video, where’s your dress from? ☺️🙏
Thanks so much ! It’s from Equipment Femme. Got it around 4 years ago
Excellent video. Thank you for posting. 😊
Thank you ☺️☺️
Thank you darling for this beautiful video. I would ask you why you left Mónaco?
Thanks for watching ! I left after graduating school to explore different university and work opportunities in bigger cities. I lived in Milan, London and even Africa but recently came back to Monaco
