- Meanwhile, in Stalingrad...
Combat Mission Red Thunder focuses on the hard fought Eastern Front battles of Bagration and Poland, from the swamps of Belarus to the gates of Warsaw during the summer of 1944. Experience the most balanced period of tactical warfare on the Eastern Front, even as the Axis' strategic ability to wage war began to collapse. Play out historical battles and campaigns or create your own customized Quick Battles.
CMRT Fire and Rubble is an add-on Module for Combat Mission Red Thunder that covers the final months of the titanic struggle on the Eastern front. The module spans geography from the Baltic coast to the very center of Berlin. Fight through all seasons from September 1944 to May of 1945. Battles from small infantry actions to the last of the sweeping tank battles in Europe are represented in both scenarios and campaigns.
Combat Mission is a game developed by Battlefront.com. One of the most realistic tactical simulations ever made, Combat Mission covers a wide variety of military settings, from World War 2 (Normandy, Market Garden, Sicily, Italy and the Eastern Front) to fictional modern conflicts in Syria (Shock Force) and Ukraine (Black Sea).

you should have got the tanks with thermal sights for fire support since those can see thru smoke
Real
I knew I went wrong somewhere!
@@usuallyhapless9481 Researched the wrong tech tree for this fight.
Don’t forget about ubersoldaten!
Tank desant pioneers is crazy
Fortune favours the brave!
Drove off in to the smoke and was never heard from again 😂
Spoilers! :P
The T-34 repositioning was the karma thingy from seeing shit luck including: a) Artillery missing EVERYTHING, b) A smoke shell evaporating one of your guys 3) The assaulting Germans having Panzer IIIs in this engagement :P
Well, that went way better than usual!
It's just the build up! ;)
Well, you were overdue for some luck. 😊
First we had no luck then misfortune joined in - Wegenann
Does your Pzkw 3 not have smoke you can fire into areas where you need smoke?
I honestly cannot remember
You know, this plan seemed very sensible when you explained it 21 game minutes ago, but now it feels like a hail Mary. Did I miss something?
Holoween had a much better plan for his defence :)
Before he moved it, the gun on that T-34 was pointing quite high up. I don't know if this game models gun depression at all, but if it does, I wonder if Holoween moved it because he couldn't get the gun low enough to fire across the gap?
Glad to see the tank riders have made it as far as they have, and I hope their assault on the chapel goes ok. Fortune favours the brave, and all that. I'm just concerned about who and how they get followed up in case they get chewed up and need reinforcing...
CM sort of models gun depression/elevation- targets outside the limits take much longer to engage, abstracting the tank adjusting it's micro positioning to find a good shot. It's not perfect, but significantly less annoying when playing.
Which of course would imply that Holoween is repositioning that tank for another, far more concerning reason...
@@usuallyhapless9481 Ah yes, that makes sense. Just watched the latest video and oh dear...
Your game looks so smooth compared to mine. Is it because you got a beast of a computer? Or are you tweaking something? Mod perhaps?
Just lucky I think. The kind of hardware that CM perform well on remains a minor mystery
Only chance now is that he has very little reserves because of the tanks, AT and infantry in surrounding buildings
I don't think I understand the strategy here? Many lucky things happened to give you the best possible scenario which is... a lone tank with pioneers assaulting presumably the most defended section of his front... in an urban environment? I hope you see something I don't. Good luck happless!
The real strategy was a shit ton of smoke
Yeaaaaaaaah, I thought the plan was to shove multiple tanks full of infantry through full smoke cover, some fire support, good recon, and a diversionary attack on the right flank? ... Not entirely sure any of that quite happened 100% to say the least.
2:54 Are those red crosses above the T-34's location?
I don't remember spotting anything, but it's not impossible
