I was not raised in a Christian home. I had a very difficult childhood plagued with s*dual abuse, emotional & physical abuse, mental illness, drug addiction & alcoholism, suicide, and death. I will be 31 this week. Married 10 years to my wonderful husband. Our oldest passed away at birth, but we have 3 more children. I am a homemaker and I home educate our children. God has redeemed my childhood and my heart continues to be healed by the Mother I am. Sometimes I feel like I am not doing enough in this world - this message was so very needed for my heart. I have broken multiple cycles of abuse and in turn my children will never know the life I once lived. I truly believe it ALL starts at home.

Breaking the chain of abuse in families isn't easy.
Enjoy your time with your kids. Then enjoy the next link in your family chain- the grand-kids.
This is where you will really be able to stand back and see the fruits of your inner work as they will hopefully grow up in homes free of the dysfunction you experienced and be healthy, happy, well adjusted kids.
In 2018 first day of the year I was praying I asked the Lord what he wanted me to do that year, I was anticipating missions, teaching Gods word etc but He said to me” be a mother” I was shocked because I thought I was a mother since I had 3 kids already.
Long story short He was calling me out of culture and I left my job, I am now happily homeschooling my 4 kids and a proud homemaker❤
This is what I learnt it’s secular culture to bear children and pay people to raise them for you e,g schools and nannies. This is exactly what Pharoahs daughter did with Moses. A godly mother raises her own- understanding like Hannah that she is to present them back to God as godly seed.
So thank you this video was spot on and it’s sad cause most woman in churches have not gotten this revelation.

Has Scott considered starting his own channel or podcast to minister to young men pursing a masculine and traditional life? There are so many Christian podcasts and channels for men that are watered down and very feminine in nature. I have several podcasts I’ve found for women from the traditional, biblical perspective but only 1 or 2 for men.
One way a woman can minister is through adopting children. We have adopted four children (two boys and then twin baby girls) and besides flying out to various states as a family to bring them home, I didn’t have to leave my post as a homeschooling, homemaking mother. ❤️ Good points here guys!!! Thank you, Scott and Kelli, for explaining what it means to sacramentally and sacrificially serve our husband and children. Today’s secular culture denounces “sacrifice” in any aspect, in direct contradiction to God’s word. Serving our family, sacrifices and all, is extremely rewarding.
This was a powerful message. Thank you so much, Scott and Kelli. You are so right, that the Father "sees us in secret", and it is a "mission" and calling especially as mothers, and wives, to care for our family at home. It is in the home, that all things begin, and where we can either strengthen or weaken our family. We have been set up to specifically nurture those in our home.
As you mentioned, it is sometimes easy to get caught up in the wave of wanting to go far and help others, on mission, but what about those in our homes that need us, and have been directly placed in our lives right now. Sometimes the want of the "mission minded person" underneath it all, is unfortunately to be praised, which can lead to a turning away from the family, and forsaking of children, in order to seek out the worlds praise.
But this is ironically already contrary to the Father's will. The Bible reminds us to care for our homes first, and then we can see more clearly if there is something that we need to do on the outside for others.

As a former Protestant and now a Catholic, I can see such a difference in women’s role in the church. Simply put, as a Protestant I felt like I could never measure up because I wasn’t doing all these ministry things. And the amount of things they would ask of women with young children was astonishing to me. I’m painting with a wide brush here. And that not measuring up bc I wasn’t being as involved as the other women made me miss the bigger picture of a personal relationship. Now as a Catholic, I have never been asked once to do any Sort of ministry. It is well defined that a women’s ministry is serving God through her husband and family. The theology behind it is so amazing and awe inspiring (how could it not be!?) We also have a lot of literature on Mary (of course) and her role as a Mother and even Joseph’s role. It amazing to see how they lived out God’s Will as a family. And how obedient they were
Well said! Our primary ministry is to our family. Pope John Paul II’s letter to women is a lovely treatise on our special roles as women. That’s not to say we are prohibited from other ministries. Depending on your stage in life, there are additional ways to serve. My children are grown. Some ministries I’ve helped with are the prayer shawl ministry, and washing and ironing alter linens. Ladies in our church make dishes for funeral lunches, make mats for the homeless, and other projects that can be done at home, without taking time away from serving our family. I’m so happy for you!
Welcome! I converted 20 years ago and was thinking the same thing as I watched their last video. The Catholic Church, especially at more traditional parishes, is very good at honoring the unique gifts of men and women. And as you said, we have such wonderful role models in the saints, and especially Our Lady.
This is so interesting. I’m Protestant, but I have felt the same way about so much being expected of women, even if it’s not explicitly stated, the hint is there. I turned down an “administrative” role in our women’s ministry, and felt bad about it, but had to ask myself why. I didn’t feel God calling me to do that at all. I have a home economy and people in this home to serve. I don’t NEED to do anything else!

I became a new-born Christian during my pregnancy and during that period of time up until now when my son is already 2 yo I have really become aware that really everything starts from the home, how the Truth deeply rooted in children's life could go with our kids in difficult situation and could save them from a lot of disappointments and worldly pleasures. With God's help I was able to stay at home with him and leave my job. I can also see the difficulties in raising a child with an unsaved partner now because the enemy really drags him away in worldly things that deprives him from the most important thing, being a spiritual leader of his family.

Love love love this video!!! I have a question- the verse in proverbs where it says Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.
Would you say that is a proverb or a promise. I have read that it is a proverb and not a promise meaning it is not a guarantee that your child that you train will walk in The ways of the Lord when he is old. What is your interpretation of this verse? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
