Did ferrari decide who goes on which car based on heights?? Because my god #50 drivers look tiny compared to #51 drivers
In a way yes, ideally you would like to have all of your drivers in the same height/weight bracket because that way it's more 'easy' to set up the car and it doesn't have massive performance variations throughout the race. Also, bear in mind that in Prototypes the steering column cannot be adjusted like they do in GT3 and drivers carry their own seat during driver changes. Ideally, you wouldn't want the center of mass changing significantly from driver to driver, also taking into account that it's pretty much impossible to efficiently adjust the pedals to the preference of each driver.
yes, because the car is the same for all of them so mirrors, steering wheel and pedals also are the same. in GT3 (being based off road cars) you can adjust the steering wheel position, but not in hypercar (neither in prototype tho).
so the best choice is to put drivers with the similar heights in the same car, otherwise one might be a little bit uncomfortable during the race. also keep in mind that each driver has its own seat

To be accurate, the actual title of the anthem is "La canzone degli Italiani". "Inno di Mameli" is an informal expression widely spread in common language, though.

With two hours to go the Ferrari #51 hit the Toyota #8 of Hartley that was much closer of the winner Ferrari #50 of Nilsen than the Toyota #7 of Pechito.
The Toyota #8 lost a lot of time in the gravel until it could return to the race.

By that logic, if the rim lock wouldn't be stucked at previous #8 pit stop it'd never encounter the #51 and therefore the touch. By the same logic if #50 wouldn't stopped earlier because of the door thing, it'd be race over again.
Imo there's no reason to go on endless ifs... we'd rewind back to race start and won't change the things at all. Racing is about merit but also about luck, either good or bad.

Just like last year it was a victory without honor.
The ACO BOP gave Toyota a ballast penalty to equalize the performance with Ferrari and Porsche and it ruined the set-up of the Toyota as it made the acceleration, braking and turning worse - all at once.
If you wanna give an advantage to Ferrari and Porsche, remove weight from then, don't add it a well adjusted Toyota. 🤔
Acting like porsche and ferrari didnt also have bop penalties. Also even with all that toyota still couldve won if not for their drivers embarassing themselves under pressure just like last year. Maybe the win is without honor because their competition isn't worth anything?
Less weight from the competiton would be worse since the advantage they'd get is not linear
Ferrari has the best engine and most likely one of the better aerodynamics. It has a well working package.
Ferrari gets the most large hit in terms of power, energy per stint, and other parameters. So do not look only at the weight to make yourself right, the weight is only a slight minus compared to Toyota. This is unfair.
Being said that, in order to make this car, Ferrari spent millions on the project, compared to way less money spent by Porsche which is made out of standard components. If we delete the BoP, I bet that your precious Toyotas end up always out of the podium. Porsches most likely take not less than 1 lap every 4 hours. The 499P was conceived to win Le Mans, words by the very engineers. So please stop telling fairy tales.
