I love the Cavaille-Coll consoles from the aesthetic PoV. Ergonomically I suppose modern arrangements make it easier for the player to control everything themselves, although we must not forget the innovation C-C brought in, but the visual aspect is pleasing.

Yes it is a marvellous rendition. No doubt the skill of the player plays a part but the C-C organ is just right for this music.
