Thank you just cut some tomatoes off the vine.. one was blushing red and the other attached to the same vine was green.. I decided to take both of them in.. --I also had one tomato that had a white stringe like you mention.. it was helpful.. and also knowing that it's still not bad and that it will turn red later.
Excellent information. This is my second year for the Black Cherry tomatoes and they are very good. I'll be doing my weekly Mittgardener video and I'll show my black cherry tomatoes as well. They are best left on the vine a little bit longer like you show so they'll snap off otherwise they're not nearly as sweet. Thanks again.
i was wanting you to tell me by what should they harvested this is july the third and im seeing any signs of tomato growth and i don't know why the plant is growing but producing any crop as of yet

Now this is a good tip. I use a similar method when picking asparagus - it will snap at the proper place on its own.

So, how much pressure can I try before I give up or is it try, nope not ripe but broken so I need to harvest that one anyway?
I’d recommend starting on one which you know is ripe. It will pop quite easily and you’ll get a feel for how much pressure is needed.

It’s wrong. My green tomato also have clean cut on both positions that you’ve mentioned
