Yes. Mindset is the #1. Now keep this in mind. The real attack comes when you least expect it. It most always happens when your guard is down. So you have to learn to think on your toes.
That’s actually a great answer. I’ve had a lot of MMA training and I’ve come to realize the importance of mindset. So many times I had bad sparring rounds where I could’ve done way better but I wasn’t confident and collected enough. Skill is important so that you can pull it off, practicing and drilling, but you need to build that confidence and have a solid mindset.
Being able to keep situational awareness while in the situation is definitely #1 you are correct on that one. Because if you get stuck on that one person he might have others and bam you are done and never even seen it coming. I normally have to be a bouncer but not at are families atv park dealing with drunks and normally have 200-5000 al on the weekend or event. And everyone is in a group and it can get wild if you ain’t careful. And make a person leave that doesn’t want too and want to fight you gotta know where everyone is why trying to de-escalate the situation
Hes right and as a marine in Afghanistan we had all the armys hand me downs shitty gear but our mindset for 100+ years has always made us stand out and that mindset followed me outside corps
