I just had my water pump maintenance done in my 2012 Volvo XC60. Cost $1164.00. This is a must do maintenance. Water pump kit tensioner new belt coolant.
Really appreciate this video. Did you park on a mtn road and do this on a hot day? I hope not! And dang volvo, that's a ton of work for a replaceable part.
What a hassle! good video. only thing i had to look up was the direction. Google search and it sais the airflow should be towards the seats and away form engine. Pretty obvious i'm sure but first time install for me so i just wanted to be totally sure!
I was able to do this because I had your video, so thanks. The step to remove the electrical module, the last step prior to gaining access to the cabin filter door, tripped me up. I could not release that by pushing down. The white metal bracket that it sits on has a tab at the top that curves upward. I pushed that tab up with a flat screw driver and that released the module. Maybe this method can help someone else. Look for the white metal tab.
I could kiss you right now. I was struggling on this for about 20 mins and found your comment and it came out in 5 seconds. Bless you and your little white tab
My 06 Honda Ridgeline is under five minutes. Drop the glove compartment see the cover then unclip the panel remove filter replace. Wait till you get the replacement of the water pump bill. That maintenance needs to be done at 100,000 miles. That hits your wallet for around a thousand dollars.
Damn that's complicated. Thanks for the vid. I'll have it done at the garage.
It is a pain, but not the worst install ever. It is worth a try,

Thanks for the video, I followed exactly as you described and worked perfectly.
Nice. Love it. Glad you got it done.

Lots of work. It’s our driveway.

Oh. Good call. Glad you got it done.

Worked but I guess I didn't push the cover back far enough and it popped off so just get cold air- oh well try again
I could not get that green wire harness clip out.........
Yes, it is not easy at all.
2015 XC60 here, you don't have to remove anything except that very last module... I'm not sure you had to either LOL.
Weird that others show a less complicated way to access the cabin filter from the bottom.
You just need the last step, do not need to take the vehicle apart.
You don’t have to pull out the glove box
I change my air filter on Lexus less than 20 seconds 😅
Wait to you do the 120,000 mile maintenance replacement of the water pump and thermostat. Have fun.😁
