My two favourite presenters in a live weather stream. Weather presentations do not get any better than this. Great natural chemistry between you here, you're on to a winner if you keep this winning team.
Greetings from Worcestershire watching on catch-up on the first day of meteorological winter albeit feeling rather mild right now! Farewell to a very soggy, rather dull but actually lacking in wind autumn despite the last week!
This was great to watch. These are improving with each episode, thank you to all 'behind the scenes', as well as the presenters, of course!. Honor, you're a natural!
Great point about the perihelion. The difference between aphelion and perihelion can be as much as 14 million miles over cycles that last many tens of thousands of years, and then it really does make a difference. If then aphelion (as now) coincided with northern hemisphere summer, far less of the winter ice would melt in summer, the whole planet would reflect more radiation into space, and the global temperature would fall, triggering an ice age. In fact I think a few times this led to a viscous circle ending in a "snowball Earth". It was only the build-up of CO2 from volcanoes that actually broke the cycle.
As it's nearly winter the one thing a lot of folk wanna know about is snow, some love it, some hate it and a possible influence on whether we get any is the polar vortex/SSW. So could we perhaps get regular updates or a polar vortex forecast through the winter maybe included in the deep dives?
Hi Alex and Honor 👋👋 Would it be possible to put up a map of average rainfall per region. It seems the last few years have seen very variable amounts and it would be interested to see the averages. Keep up the GREAT work 💦🌨⛈️⛅️🌤☀️🌬❄️
Honor, and you added a great new presenter partnership, we just now need Alex B and Aiden to host together and confirm same, then what a great year end daytime team you all make, a special Friday feature too. Thanks.
On the weather forecast the wind is shown as wind speed, but then we have gusts speed, my question is how and where does a gust of wind comes from and what causes it,great show thanks Roger
I have a couple of questions please:- 1. Does snow come out of the clouds or does the water change into snow as it goes through the atmosphere, and, 2. What causes larger flakes and at other times, smaller ones? Thank you very much. H
Loved this. Well done Honor. Loved the deep dive too. How did I do on the quiz? 1/5 and I'm kicking myself about the snow one, because I know the generality of 1mm = 1cm. And still for some reason went for 2.5 sigh.
Great show as always. Question - Why is Meteorological Winter brought forward 21 days to the 1st of December rather than back 10 days to 1st January? You would think the shorter period would be more logical.
My two favourite presenters! Have a great weekend everybody.

Nicely done Alex and Honor - very interesting and great fun. Lucky for us you both chose meteorology as a career.
As a child of the seventies, Alex and Honor just remind me of Bernard and Bianca from the Rescuers. Great fun, thanks for doing these everyone.
Honor made an excellent job of the Deep Dive! 👏

Didn't get the chance to watch it live but Honor was fantastic!

These shows are top class 🙏
Honor's a legend ✊🏻

Thanks for answering my question!
Hey just wanted to say how much I enjoy watching the weather studio! Last week I was lucky enough to be off work & watch live. Have a great weekend ☺️
Shame I missed the end of this, look forward to the next one.
Thankyou Alex and honor !!! Great show I love it full of positivity and in depth weather !! So glad this is back!

A very catchy tune
Here’s a question when lightning hits the sea how do the fish survive?

Could you cover the jet stream a little more in your forecasts and how it is interacting with the weather patterns? Thanks for todays live 😁

Hi guys waving 👋 Very many thanks Honor, ‘twas I that asked about the difference between fog and freezing fog, so very thanks for answering!

what do you need to study to become a meteorologist?
…Meteorology? Joking aside,maths,physics,geography and gambling.😜
Bye Honor & Alex wave.👋 BTW, why is it I was only able to see a few other folk today? Don’t understand that at all. Have a lovely weekend

We don’t put the tree up until about 2 weeks time, too early otherwise

I am sad I have missed the last 2 episodes because I can't watch live, why ?
You can still watch it in exactly the same way later though. All the best.

4/5 for the quiz, relieved after being out smarted by the monkeys with a zero last week.
