Hey Mark, great project. Liked the way you weathered and highlighted with the graphite. Looking forward to seeing at the next club meeting.

My favorite model to make. I’ve built and painted a lot of these over the years. Incredibly forgiving kit. Filling it a must for sure. Especially on those shoulders.
Beautiful work! This was a pleasure to watch

Thanks Michael, appreciate your comment. I have the APC M577, I'll get to that at some point. Cheers

Good job, I too bought the model and started putting it together back in the early 90s and just completed it two years ago myself.

Todd video mate. My Alien I made years ago is on the shelf looking down at me as I write. It’s fallen off there so many times and has been glued back together I think it is made of more glue than plastic.

Thanks for sharing your progress pics as you were building this. I've been looking forward to seeing this video. Very nice. This makes me want to go look fort my Revoltech Alien in my closet and take it out.

Isn't the Revoltech Alien the xenomorph from the first film?..think so, looks really good

@@EventHorizonModels That's the one I have, but they also made one from the second movie too.

That's definitely an Aliens alien. Head model dome completely different. Plus Cameron's Aliens had clear teeth not silver. Nicely done!

Hi. Great video and very useful as like you I have this model that I had in my loft for the last 25 years and unbuilt until now. Really inspired to complete it now. I have a very basic airbrush but it doesn't give great results. What airbrush do you use for this?

Hi Nic, I use an Iwata HP-C, but any decent airbrush will work, I‘ve had mine for about 15 years or so and like the quality. Thanks for commenting and I,m happy you enjoyed the build. Cheers

Hey man great paint job. I plan to make my Bonereapers for AoS. Would glossing the model help with the oil washing process? Instead of covering it in spirits?

For miniatures I'd just go with your standard washes and glazes from GW, I feel the work the best on smaller stuff like that. However, if you wanted to use oil based washes, a lot of modellers apply a gloss coat prior to the wash, sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. Depends on the subject matter colour and size mostly

    Just a few criticisms.
Try to be bolder in your paint contrast. The Alien just looks black; none of your different colours (brown) really made any difference.
The Alien also looks too matt. Put more gloss in there to make it wetter. Especially on the mouth. They were in a very humid atmosphere after all.
Other than that, excellent build and enjoyed you video.
