this is the screen GUI needed on the play+ synth engines. looks great. editing synth patches on the play+ currently sucks. I hope this style GUI is coming. same screen so hopefully it's in the works. nice job guys
Sweet! I have an OG Tracker, and I think this would pair nicely with it. Just 2 3.5mm trs cables and you’re good. I think you could do a stellar live set with that combination.
I messed up yesterday by complaining it doesn’t have an internal battery. I listened to other do their usual complaining too. Then I looked at my desk. There sits the Play and Tracker +. They both gave me the side eye. It’s about the sound wabbit. We’ve got you. You need to get us another sibling and quit your snibbling. Thank you Polyend for reminding what’s important.
Looks like I'm buying another polyend box. My studio is essentially a polyend showroom. You guys are the best and this is so affordable. Don't listen to the hate.
I watched the interview on sonic state and i’m blown away by what this will do. And the sound is huge but not boomy. I have a tracker that i suck at haha but i can see how this will work with it.
Yesterdays post to the Polyend Play update: "Is this had more dedicated drum synth control knobs it would be awesome - like an Elektron but much better with its vastly better screen and more immediate / fun sequencer. You should take them on in your next product with some dedicated FM / Drum synth / Sampler product. 1 knob to control synthesis seems a bit tedious. Lots of potential here." Todays Polyend Response...Polyend Synth! Just give it drum synths engines too and it will be even more awesome! That was quick!
Not much more in cost than a Microfreak but looks and sounds much better in my opinion and the Microfreak gets a lot of praise, so 🤷♂️. This has many emulations right away that I’ve been looking for all in one playable synth (prophet 6, Juno, cz101, sh101)
This makes me want a true upgrade on the circuit tracks concept. I don't mind paying an extra. Just put a screen, the peak synth engine, and keep the functionality of the circuit tracks/sample.
Really loving this! Would love to get one but, sadly, the pandemic wiped me out financially, so I can't even afford a reasonably priced synth like this at the moment.
I bought the mini tracker twice and both had hardware issues and had to be returned. (And the UI of that machine left my hands exhausted.) This looks nice but we'll see about hardware QC.
@@PolyendWould love to see an interaction with the Tracker. This is so forward thinking bringing 3 synths together to be played together Polyend are just on it. Ordered. Keep the vids coming to show us what's possible
8. It's in the manual, page 18. "A maximum of 8 voices in total can be assigned although some configurations may be limited to less than 8 voices. The voice count of 8 is shared across all synths"
@@gagealbright No problem. I just put in the number 8 and searched and found it in there, even though I knew it was 8 to begin with but wanted to find a page that showed it for you.
SH4D is a bit of a mess. Pattern management is a royal pain in the ass and the buttons to play on are hard little dots like Skittles to play on. It's a decent sound engine if you have an external controller but other than that, this seems more playable.
This sounds like it's lacking quite some highs and transparency. Is this because of your signal chain and post editing, or is the synth itself sounding a little muffled?
No idea how doable it would be, but I wish this came without the pads so I could hook it up to the OXI One. I just want a really good new synth to use with my really good controller.
So first impression…and let me preface this by saying I love Polyend…is that it sounds very digital. Which hey, not a bad thing, just an observation…some people are really into granular synths and wavetables and such, but this strikes me as very niche. I think they should have come in at a lower price point to attract people to their products since this is essentially the synth engines from the tracker+ but without the tracker software, and doesn’t appear to have the sequencer depth of function that the play+ has. Yeah, it’s three part multitimbral, but in a digital synth that should really not be a huge selling point (right, Micromonsta 2?). This should be a competitive product with the MicroFreak, but for $499? I think I’d rather pay the extra $100 and get a MiniFreak.

That sounds epic. I wasn’t going to get any more synths but this might have found a niche in my studio.
" I wasn’t going to get any more synths but ..." . These words are universal. 🤣
This is definitely your most exciting product and probably the most exciting synth of the year imo!
I just love it. Always dreamed of having chords and melodies following each other in key.
Incredibly great sounds!
I will buy it.
Love it! I hope you'll consider bringing what you can to the Play+ interface wise. Nice release Polyend!

That would be a great thing with the GUI for the Play. I hope they update their other devices like they always have.
Yeah! We want this for the Play and Play+ 🎉 absolutely needed!!!
i doubt it, they are not famous for keeping their firmware up to date
Incredible sounds! This whole demo sounds like a James Holden album 👌👌
Looking forward to getting my hands on one guys! Nice work!

Truly beautiful sounds

Lovely device, congrats! 👍
Beautiful!
Sounds great and looks the usual Polyend high standard. Don't think I have a need for it in my studio but never say never.

I'm starting to think this is ticking all the boxes
not sure how to take that ha ha ha
I'm excited to see how people find a way to complain abt this this one!
YOURE NOT ALLOWED TO JUST CALL A SYNTH "SYNTH," I'M PISSED

8 voices and no MPE?
Dear Sir, Is it permissible to say that I like the examples as such but feel it all sounds a bit lofi, including the effects? 😁
"Welcome to Bad Gear, the show about the world's most hated audio tools"
Looks really performative. Pricing is also acceptable.
**sigh** _Dammit._

(bro hug)
Looks good! Still happy with the Medusa for now though - will that ever receive anymore firmware updates do you think? The FM one was amazing.
This looks fun
Bravo Polyend! ^^
Looks cool to me !
Love it and i need it ❤
A basic version of the synth I been begging Novation to make for years. Polyend - Novation: 1 - 0.
Maybe they could be comrades?

What scenes or sounds where used on this one? Especially the first 1 - 2 minutes? That sounds like straight out of a "Moderat" Track, nice!
Agree with all the comments about upgrading play + with this GUI 😅🤘🤘
Really loving this! Would love to get one but, sadly, the pandemic wiped me out financially, so I can't even afford a reasonably priced synth like this at the moment.
Could have put PHZ on the tracker mini... came with the sticker and all 🤷♂️ All of these synths should be included if possible
OMG, I just had an epiphany 🤯- I'm about to email you guys
what a fantastic synth. will get one in the future for sure! just hope a synth+ doesn't get released the following week 😅😁
Don't worry
Synth+ is going to be sick!!
JKJK. I like what Polyend is doing. Looks like a great ecosystem of devices.
That is rightly so...
I want new synth’s in my tracker mini now :) ;)
nice noodles ;) do the decaying notes and fx tails get cut off when switching scenes or patches? thanks for the demo. sounds like nice engines to me.
Add the 4th Perc engine and I'm in
Sounds like Plaid.
Sounds great! Please add PMD to Tracker Mini!
I bought the mini tracker twice and both had hardware issues and had to be returned. (And the UI of that machine left my hands exhausted.) This looks nice but we'll see about hardware QC.
I like the concept but wish it had more polyphony. Can you change the 3 main led colours? Not important but would still be nice to do.
THE MPC for Live Synth players
Where are the percussive sounds in the initial block coming from?
Granular engine sample, I believe.

does anyone know what the maximum polphony is on this? like how many notes u can play at once? i cant find it online or in the manual. thanks

microtuning or scala support?
"Where can I get money for this miracle, my mouth is watering! Cool!"
Great sounds but all it can do is a scene and improv. No provision for linking scenes to form larger musical structures?
Polyend is killing it with this one....but I'm too broke 🥺
Digitone 2 or this? I like the design of this but i already have a Digitakt 2.
is project switching that snappy? :)
Yes!
@ awesome work
Curious what people think about combining this with the move for a traveling jam/groovebox combo.
(wish it had a battery though)
This or roland sh4d?
Frying pan/fire 😆

can you play "jump" ?
💙
It seems cool, but the screen seems small and just 8 voices for a digital synth is low...
Does it support MPE/MIDI 2.0?
Their gear always looks so cool but being visually impaired, good lord the fonts are so small.
Imagine if it had 3 stereo line outs....
this is GREAT, waiting for the + next year
OH!
Only 8Voices 😢📉🎛️🌀👾👾👾🥴
You need at least 36 for all the songs you don't make.
@ITATTRACTS 3Chords ON 3Synths have 9 Voices , but ITS for that price okay , Just have fun
Rad
I want one, but if I buy one, will the Synth + come out the next day?
Why not to have all that synth engines and the screen GUI for Play and Play+ soon in the next firmware update? ❤❤❤ Come on, @Polyend !
Why would they do that and then no one would buy this?
The biggest concern with this one is that it has 3 parts but no individual outputs - meaning that it'll be hard to mix them properly once recorded.
*greedy customer voice*
>:) yall got any more synth engines for the mini >:)
This sounds like it's lacking quite some highs and transparency. Is this because of your signal chain and post editing, or is the synth itself sounding a little muffled?
Could just be youtube compression or what you're listening on?
I hear it too, especially in the first half of the video. I didn’t notice this on the Sonic State video though.
No idea how doable it would be, but I wish this came without the pads so I could hook it up to the OXI One. I just want a really good new synth to use with my really good controller.
super 6 desktop is the one
@@ArkaHtun lol...sure, much bigger footprint and $1500 more for the guy who wants a smaller sound box.
This is a pretty small footprint on a desk, nothing prevents you from hooking up your controller.

Reluctant to buy anything else after having an $800 Tracker become "legacy" so quickly.
There was another update last week.
