@@TJE.13 why would you need Gowry's shack? You only need Greatsword and Lion's Claw, both are western part of Caelid. However, Gowry's shack is perfectly reachable with no quests at all, enter the Caelid and move the main road counter-clockwise around the swamp in the center -- you will pass big rot dragon with a name I can't type without googling, but something like Exykes, continue the road, pass a map fragment, if you see a giant castle positioned east-south of the map, this is not the direction you should go, turn to the right and continue the road. The swamp should be on your left hand all the time, and once there will be a giant troll throwing explosive shit from above, you're almost there, continue the road, enter the narrow passage or arc, you'll see a nice doge sitting in from of the shack.
@@dimKiriyenko The only reason I assumed I had to go there was because that was essentially where the guide started from, once I can open this first section of the map I'll be fine from there ig.

Solid guide but a few suggestions for anyone looking to do this on their first play through. Particularly if they've never played the game before and want to do this. First suggestion: follow another guide to take you to the start of Margit then when you get to Margit, you can follow the start of this guide. Second suggestion: unlock the Caelid map, takes 10 minute to do and will make your life much easier. Last suggestion: get the armour before the sword, this will save you a ton of time long term.
I also did this for my second account. You can also early on put some 15 faith on your character and snag Flame Grant Me Strength on the same fort as Lion's Claw, and grab the electrify armament incantation as well. You can use a +0 seal like clawmark talisman just for pre-buffing outside bossfogs + physick flask + boiled prawn
Yup....my Unga Bunga character has just enough faith for stuff like Golden vow, Flame Grant, Flame cleanse, and beast vitality. It's a good cheap investment that has HUGE returns.
Waaay late to the Elden Ring party… this guide has been a huge help! Any issues I have aren’t with the guide but my skills… never played a game like this before so it’s an interesting first go.
My favorite part of all your videos is the random, amazing commentary that you just put in like it's nothing. "You will see Simba after he went down the dark path and became addicted to crystal meth." I'm DEAD
I follow a lot of Elden Ring build channels but this one has the best builds and guides. How you come up with these OP builds, you're on another level or you're an alien! Much appreciate the time and effort!
I suck at this game. It took me a week to kill horseman in beginning area. This guide took me around 4 hrs to follow. I killed Margit first try. Wtf. I was definatly doing it wrong. I'm at the same point in about 8 hrs as opposed to a week. Actually probably further. Waiting patently for part 2! This build kicks ass!
Don't feel like you suck at the game just because you can't beat the tree sentinel when starting out, because he's not meant to be taken on at that point hahaha. It's impressive you persevered for that long actually, nice job.
Haha I ragequit my first two attempts at the game for lack of souls-like game experience. But after I followed one of Nizar's earlier build videos, researched some of the beginner info that he doesn't include, and most importantly, practiced and started to get good at some of the combat mechanics, I'm totally addicted.
To make build stronger: infuse Greatsword with Fire, this way you will gain around 100+ AR (split damage is generally more AR untill you have S scalling and really high main stat) and use Flame Grand Me Strength to boost both physical and fire damage. And for Physick use Strength and Fire Crack Tear to further boost physical and fire damage. For talismans use Alexander Shard and Flame Talisman to further boost fire damage and your Lion's Claw damage.
Yeah, i always like to give my weapons a high base damage, low scaling affinity like fire or lightning and then just just pump vigor and endurance until i have 25 endurance and 40 vig than i change my affinity to a lower base damage, higher scaling affinity and then increase damage stats.
BRO! Literraly an hour ago i was looking on youtube for a strenght build, but didn't find any vid. And BOOM, you r just uploaded a guide with exact build i want to make, youre the best!) Already build up a mage and a samurai on your builds! Best on youtube honestly! Thanks a lot for your work!
im playing a faith strength hybrid build and the greatsword was my main, instead of lions claw i used the stamp upward cut ash of war and it’s a great alternative as it knocks enemies up in the air
I just started playing Elden ring and I'm currently making this as mt first build THIS IS SO GOOD ive never even played before and its still really easy for me
Bro this strength build is so op, i did almost every boss first try like litterly first try I just now beat godskin duo first try and the furthest I’ve ever gone is to the second story boss on any other build
Hi Fellow Nizar GG community to to get to the sealed cave 8:05 you would need traverse south academy gate and do that you need to get a glint stone key fo (to find the key should be on a island on the left of the academy with a sleeping dragon and behind that dragon is this guy who is dead holding the key then after that book it because that dragon wakes up then run for bit til you can open your map then fast travel back) after that traverse the south gate seal, discover the grace there you can traverse the main gate seal then you can follow the video from there. P.s Have fun and your welcome for the tip
Anyone coming to this months later like I did - you absolutely do NOT need to go anywhere near the Academy to get to Altus Plateau and the Sealed Tunnel. No need for the glintstone key. Nizar glosses over how to get up there because he assumes a certain knowledge level about the game.
Thank you for the build! I used it on my first playthrough and beat Malenia in around 25 tries ^^ I literally breezed through most of the game but I struggled a lot with enemies that required a lot of horse riding (fire giant) and generally enemies that were running away really fast lol. But it was a blast thank you for that build
If you're just getting to this video, don't do what I did and watch any other guide before this one. I had to grind levels after killing the dragon to get enough strength to equip the sword. Still working on this guide but can say it feels powerful af so far
While it the greatsword is a phenomenal weapon, I recommend grabbing the Brick Hammer at stormveil castle since blunt weapons actually do a tonnnn of damage to crystal enemies
Love that hammer, just wish it was a little longer but it's a blast to use with this same ash of war. I'm basically switching between the greatsword and the brick hammer + a shield with golden parry on my back for those annoying knights.
Using the greataxe works as well for anyone who does not like the greatsword. The demounter is also decent, but requires some farming, and then if you go for either of these weapons, then determination/royal knights resolve works well
If you are doing this build, you can use the Arsenal Charm talisman, I forgot where I found it but look it up, I did everything like him and I can fast roll and everything 👍
when you kill the sleeping dragon its better to use the flail that you can get in a carriage just outside of stormgate. if you hold lt or whatever left trigger is on playstation it does bleed damage every now and then which takes a good chunk of hp off of the dragon
Update after 10 hours. Just unlock best rune spot with bird. So grinded for 15 levels to 65. Greatsword +15 Banished Knight Set (fucker took long to get, farm levels getting it) Level 65 plus Soreseal Vig 40 mind 21 end 32 str 32 Stamina and extra str physik Summon Lhutel The Headless +1 At lower levels beat Margit and Godrick pretty easily. Gotten few others bosses. Have also gotten many gold seeds and sacred tears. Got about 9 total flasks now Next up: Beat Radahn or Rennala to get another talisman pouch and used green turtle talisman. Then beat Leyndell capital, plus upgrade my Greatsword and summons. Also kinda want to do Ranni Quest to get my Mimic, those poor souls.
Update: added 3 hours for 13 total Level 81 plus Soreseal Greatsword +16 and dagger with Bloodhound step Vigor 50 Mind 20 END 35 STR 35 10 flasks and around 9 sacred Tears Talisman: Soreseal, Great Jar, Warrior Jar Got Banished Knight set with Radahn Chest Piece. Around level 65 I beat Radahn on second try. It was fun fight, them I beat up Alexander lol. I know Alexander it's awesome but I wanted Warrior Jar Shard (+10% on lion claw) Then level up to 80, fought few bosses on the way to Leyndell Capital and almost at Shade Godrick which will give me 4th Taliban and will use green turtle. Also, added a dagger with bloodhound step for moving in on bosses or moving out when need to flask up. Next up: Want to take STR to 54 plus give the levels needed to not used Soreseal(5 for vigor, end and str plus 3 on Dex). While also finishing Leyndell Capital and opening the Snowy Mountains. Do want to be around level 100 to 120 for the snowy mountains.
I actually think that vagabond would be better as it does not waste all those points in arcane and comes with enough dex to fill stat requirements for weapons.
Everything in this video is sound but I'll add some tips I wish I knew early on. Before going to Fort Faroth find the isolated merchant in Caelid and buy the beast repellant torch, it will keep the rats off you. Also a cure poison spell or item is useful to have. For Lion's Claw fight you can drop to the landing right above it's arena and get some free damage on it with pots or arrows, that same merchant sells poison arrows but expensive for beginning characters.
Lmao I used your tip for Lion’s claw, got him down to 1/3 health and then he glitched up there. I proceeded to get beat by him anyway I’m at the point where I think I just suck at this game.
@@carsonkelly4052 I got my head kicked in so many times on Elden Ring and so do most players. When you do kinda get your strategies down it feels great. The game is meant to be as hard as it is so don't let it get ya down.
I was tired of having to buff for 10 minutes before each fight, so I went the way of the *bonk* Also for Greyoll, if you run fast enough to the bonefire, she'll simply not despawn.
do everything in this but don't go to the dragonburnt ruins go behind the third church of Marika there will be a portal enter it and you will be at the bestial sanctum head down the road grab the golden seed and site of grace then go across a bridge with a dragon on it run past the dragon and go behind the mini etree and jump up the guizer and you will be at forth faroth it's a lot easier
I love this guide! I'm also using the Turtle Shield on my back which gives a stamina recovery passive bonus. I switch between that, the Icon Shield and the Sacrificial Axe.
Just got Elden Ring for the first time. Wasted like 4-6 hours on builds. Didn't really like, tonight I just got all the gear. Weapons, armour and talismans from your build. And I'm now working on stats. Thank you!
The golden scarab isn't too tough to get even at low level, to add to that initial boost from the dragon. You just need a dagger to "sidestep" *forward* (lol) through the rot pools (in the scarab dungeon), and the dual bosses are almost unable to hit the wolf summon because their attacks go right over your doggos. Might need to level a bit for extra health but it can be really easy.
I'm not almost finishing the game but I'm doing a mage build and idk Istrength build looks better so I was thinking of doing the same thing as you.In NG+,how will you change your stats and build?(would be appreciated if you answer:)
Got to Mountaintop with the ice/bleed dual twinblades and got bored so here I am trying the strength build. The replay value on this game is absolutely amazing. FYI - I think they may have improved AI pathfinding in the 1.06 patch because the great-jar talisman cheese strategy fails most of the time now. I think I had three of them roll off and die in more than a dozen attempts; most of the time they find their way down to the ledge with me and it's all over in 2-3 hits. Putting that off until later.
Still works for me. If I'm too far left, they run into an arena barrier and shrub. If I'm in the proper spot they typically leap off, but sometimes get stuck as above.
Ignore the individuals hating. Ik I'm like 5 or so months late to this vid, but I loved the guide. Plus there are plenty of videos with detailed guides on how to get through each area of the map. Good work with this video! 🔥
I recommend to use a weapon that deals Strike damage like the Morning Star or Flail. You can get both weapons really early and they deal more damage against those stone (?) enemies that drop the Smithing Stone (5). It's a lot easier to farm that stuff if you use the right weapon for it. Fire bombs are also a good alternative if you have enough materials for them.
Great build- my endurance number was identical to yours but I still had to add to it in order to wear the the banished knight set. Must have changed with a patch.
If the farming for the armour just doesn't work or you don't want to farm for another 105 hours, and you are ok with killing NPCs, then just kill bernahl, his armour is the exact same weight as the banished knights gear, and very similar stats.
Running a STR build on and off again, so this is definitely useful. I actually forgot about the Greatsword seeing as I explored most of Caelid with my main character a long time ago. Thanks for that reminder. Now I need to pick up a bleed weapon.
Love your builds - have done 3 (Mage, Sorcerer, Hero). I'm looking forward to the second installment of this build (even though this build is the fastest I've gone through the game yet (including Malenia). Would you be willing to make a bandit/dagger build? Maybe even with a bit of parrying involved into the design?
It is thanks to your vids that I was able to make that Faith Build OD, and was thinking of going Unga Bunga next, so I am glad to see the strength build shining thru.
I've been waiting to play this game ever since its release, I saw the dlc was coming out end of June and thought now would be a perfect time to embark on my journey to become the elden lord before the dlc comes out. This is my first souls genre game, so I was a bit overwhelmed starting out, but the more I explored and played the more I understood and got used to the changes. I was still confused as to what attributes I should be prioritizing as a strength build and finding the best melee weapon, but you cleared all that up, so thank you!
Ty for this build, just finished my first game at lvl 147 by following this guide! I`ve only added the Mimic Tear Ashes and it trivialized most of the encounters.
Another great video! I always look forward to your content coming out. Also, Ive been using your OP prophet build and I’ve breezed through the game like I was on easy mode. I swapped the Reduvia for Rivers of Blood now that I’m in end the end game. I killed Melania on my first try with the Mimic Tear. It almost feels like I’m using cheat codes. Lol. This is my second character though. I went through the game the hard way with a melee build, so I don’t feel too bad. 😆
Just subscribed! Holy smokes this build has gotten me to kill almost all the early and mid game bosses. In the past when I did a mage build it took me a long time just to defeat the first boss.
Just finished my Faith/Dragon build run, started the STR build as soon as you posted the video :D MAN THIS THING DESTROYS HEALTHBARS! 0.0 Also, just like your Poise video, something Vital to players would be Flasks Levels. The difference between using just 1 flask to go full health/mana is Massive to combat, and the early route to Seeds and Tears would be welcome! Just an idea, bet you have many videos ahead
Question... after killing Dragon, you raise strength to 18(23) and say start using the Greatsword. My question is the Greatsword needs 31 strenght but you only have 23... do you just farm to bring strenght to 31 or am I missing something? Newer to game and not sure how it all works
Late game strength build is crazy, i just rsn arcane until i get late game and switch to an OP strength build. Went through a couple playthroughs with it easily
An I'm late to the elden party I know nothing of the game a total noob, but I'm trying this out I'm 8 mins into your video and it's taking me all night lmao (I'm not using any further help then what's in this video) but I'm loving it
I had to quit on the guide. Wonderful guide, but you kinda disregarded the player who has no idea how to get to some of these places. I died over and over trying to get to the sealed cave from Raya. Don't even know if I was going in the right direction to get there. Maybe I'm just a big baby, but this after like 20 times dying and not even knowing if your going the right way, it gets a little frustrating. And I'm probably just missing a turn somewhere 😕. The bull shooting the light arrows is almost taking all my health in one go, and the flask barley fill up 25 percent of the bar.

Thanks a lot my man. Another one I have seen which is similar is to go for the Giant Crusher hammer and use the Greyroll respawn trick to get enough runes to build strength up, then equip with the Flame of the Redmanes Ash of War. Love both ideas.
Does that build *require* exploits. Sounded like the exploit was respawning yhe dragon which could be replaced by nornal leveling. Am I missing another exploit there?
I hate having to kill enemies on repeat for gearsets. Im about 45 min-1 hour in and have farmed 90k+ runes, 3 helmets, 3 gauntlets, 6 greaves, 5 greatswords, and 6 shields, but no chest piece

So if you don't plan on skipping around for the pots those 3 extra pots can really REALLY help early game.
@@jgmaurer31 very interesting. Im gonna go with this cause I haven't used Pots of any kind on my builds. Might as well try more stuff. You saved for bosses? or just any enemies?
Pots are great. Good recommendation!
@@TheEru88 Well, the beauty of pots is that you can use them all the time as long as you have the mats. Just make more before the next fight.

They are an uncommon drop, but I just got my 12 in about 30 minutes of efficient farming.

"You will see Simba after he went down the dark path and became addicted to crystal meth."
I'm DEAD
I follow a lot of Elden Ring build channels but this one has the best builds and guides. How you come up with these OP builds, you're on another level or you're an alien!
Much appreciate the time and effort!
I have been running a strength build with v:50,m:20,e:35,s:66,d:17,I:9,f:25,a:7. I feel like an absolute beast.

The tree sentinel? Wow! you are not supposed to kill it yet.
Quik tip: when you kill the big dragon, run fast to sitting location behind you and you will get ruins and dragon is still a live
Yeah, i always like to give my weapons a high base damage, low scaling affinity like fire or lightning and then just just pump vigor and endurance until i have 25 endurance and 40 vig than i change my affinity to a lower base damage, higher scaling affinity and then increase damage stats.
cant get fire enchament?

Bro that’s what I did lol
Bro this strength build is so op, i did almost every boss first try like litterly first try I just now beat godskin duo first try and the furthest I’ve ever gone is to the second story boss on any other build
Hey am new to the game and am wondering if this build got nerfed or no cuz you know the game hasbeen out for 7 months rn
Yes he skipped over that part and it’s pretty important 😂
Wrong. I'm in sealed cave right now and didn't get the key. I think there's a horse jump right around there
@@Asian_Import read my comment
Do you use the same build from this vids when you defeat malenia?
@Graned Lolioat that's what he just said...
How do u kill the Dragon when im new he is too op
@@StevenDylanK hit her near her tail with the morning star.
The awesome thing about going full bonk is that the build leaves room to to go for any of the caster stats
Using the greataxe works as well for anyone who does not like the greatsword. The demounter is also decent, but requires some farming, and then if you go for either of these weapons, then determination/royal knights resolve works well
I accidentally got the demounter from a big sword guy on some weird horse
Very early on
This was the only build tutorial I’ve ever done that wasn’t boring
One of the best guides I have watched on this game! Straight to the point. Helps with everything. Thank you!
Thats what i did. Its much faster
I'm gonna have to try this. Great sword runs were so fun in DS2
Update after 10 hours.
Just unlock best rune spot with bird. So grinded for 15 levels to 65.
Greatsword +15
Banished Knight Set (fucker took long to get, farm levels getting it)
Level 65 plus Soreseal
Vig 40 mind 21 end 32 str 32
Stamina and extra str physik
Summon Lhutel The Headless +1
At lower levels beat Margit and Godrick pretty easily. Gotten few others bosses. Have also gotten many gold seeds and sacred tears. Got about 9 total flasks now
Next up:
Beat Radahn or Rennala to get another talisman pouch and used green turtle talisman. Then beat Leyndell capital, plus upgrade my Greatsword and summons. Also kinda want to do Ranni Quest to get my Mimic, those poor souls.
Update: added 3 hours for 13 total
Level 81 plus Soreseal
Greatsword +16 and dagger with Bloodhound step
Vigor 50 Mind 20 END 35 STR 35
10 flasks and around 9 sacred Tears
Talisman: Soreseal, Great Jar, Warrior Jar
Got Banished Knight set with Radahn Chest Piece.
Next up:
Want to take STR to 54 plus give the levels needed to not used Soreseal(5 for vigor, end and str plus 3 on Dex).
When I first found the great sword on my first run I made a pure guts build with it. It's incredibly powerful
I was tired of having to buff for 10 minutes before each fight, so I went the way of the *bonk*
Also for Greyoll, if you run fast enough to the bonefire, she'll simply not despawn.
Yup. Still works
do everything in this but don't go to the dragonburnt ruins go behind the third church of Marika there will be a portal enter it and you will be at the bestial sanctum head down the road grab the golden seed and site of grace then go across a bridge with a dragon on it run past the dragon and go behind the mini etree and jump up the guizer and you will be at forth faroth it's a lot easier
I'm addicted to this channel
Nizar! I followed your mage build and Im almost finishing the game. Planning to do strength on NG+. This came in the right time!
I'm not almost finishing the game but I'm doing a mage build and idk Istrength build looks better so I was thinking of doing the same thing as you.In NG+,how will you change your stats and build?(would be appreciated if you answer:)
Vagabond is the best class for strength builds as soon as you put any points into dex
Took me 4 hrs to do this but it’s so worth it such a fun build 🤣
imo I'd use the green turtle talisman with this, so much stam getting drained so constantly, no reason it wouldn't help
This was my build for most of the early game and it was great. Can’t wait to see the late game build next.
Because of this build, and the second video you made for Strength builds, I managed to solo the main story bosses. 🤙🏻🤙🏻
I just did it first try. Still works fine.
I don’t like the gimmicks of other strength builds, they pop all of these buffs and only do 100 or 200 more damage, but this build is awesome.
This build is awesome, the only boss I’m stuck on with this is Malenia……
Story of my life
Ignore the individuals hating. Ik I'm like 5 or so months late to this vid, but I loved the guide. Plus there are plenty of videos with detailed guides on how to get through each area of the map. Good work with this video! 🔥
hey,how did u farm runes to use greatsword im strenght 18 and i got it following the tutorial
Watchdog Staff does strike damage, eats everything.
Bro that Simba on crystal meth was so funny literally the first time I laughed on a content creators video well done
Great build- my endurance number was identical to yours but I still had to add to it in order to wear the the banished knight set. Must have changed with a patch.
what level endurance is needed?
Did you get the jar talisman?
If the farming for the armour just doesn't work or you don't want to farm for another 105 hours, and you are ok with killing NPCs, then just kill bernahl, his armour is the exact same weight as the banished knights gear, and very similar stats.
Running a STR build on and off again, so this is definitely useful. I actually forgot about the Greatsword seeing as I explored most of Caelid with my main character a long time ago. Thanks for that reminder. Now I need to pick up a bleed weapon.
bloodhound fang w bleed grease is absolutely insane btw if you’re looking for a good str bleed weapon i used it to beat malenia

This will definitely be the way I go for my next build. Thank you. Straight up good advice and no BS.
Ty for this build, just finished my first game at lvl 147 by following this guide! I`ve only added the Mimic Tear Ashes and it trivialized most of the encounters.
Ofc. Mimic is easy mode.
MALENIA for fucks sake.
Just subscribed! Holy smokes this build has gotten me to kill almost all the early and mid game bosses. In the past when I did a mage build it took me a long time just to defeat the first boss.

Question... after killing Dragon, you raise strength to 18(23) and say start using the Greatsword. My question is the Greatsword needs 31 strenght but you only have 23... do you just farm to bring strenght to 31 or am I missing something? Newer to game and not sure how it all works

@@moersenice yes very frustrating how you have a very OP build now, you're venting your frustration with Elden Ring on this guide. @@moersenice no worries, I wasn't trying to attack you personally just trying to show that this is first and foremost a build video and not necessarily a beginner guide to Elden Ring. Elden Ring has been out for 3 months now and if I try to explain basic Elden Ring mechanics it would just drag out the video and I'd feel like it would take away from the core idea of the video.
