- Kanthan Pillay launches his new book, 'How to Fix South Africa: An Owner's Manual' with a live audience at a special CliffCentral event. Along with Gareth Cliff and Phumi Mashigo, he touches on social grants, taxation, the NHI and more.
After reading this amazing book, it was an absolute pleasure to meet with Kanthan and have a stunning discussion. Time for these, and similar solutions, to be implemented immediately! Will the new government work with this....doubt it as positive change never starts at the top....it requires organisations and corporates to join forces and start a new movement for change....for the good ao the people, for the good of the economy, and for the good of South Africa! Thank you Kanthan!
Kanthan makes so much sense in his commentary...been listening to him for year's
Congrats on the book Kanthan thanks CC for sharing.😊❤😊
You could ensure that there is a basic employment contract for mini buss drivers with a universal benefit structure.
250000 taxis to 20000 owners is 1 owner having 12 taxis. That's reasonable and makes business sense. Can't have it 1 to 1. The profits are dismal. But well done Kanthan!
Taxi industry bring in 180 billion in for Southafrica dont talk kak with me informal traders doing it bring in 700 billion in year we look at stats 😜😜😜😜😜😜😜
Always good to hear from a class guy who has common sense and thinks outside of the box. Keith
I think the policy gurus who will come to the for with the advent of the next election we need to look at what is happening in Argentina for there situation somewhat mirrors ours ,as to the Anc losing the next election I think that is still 5 years away what will happen is a steady erosion of power till 2029 with the caveat of a fall in majority in Gauteng and kzn as with a medium turnout at the polls will still result in 46 to 62 percent horse race.
*Can a taxi driver please tell us if you make more money than the taxi owner?*
It saddens me that in this age of technology there is no link to a SOUTH AFRICAN bookstore where one can purchase the book 😔
