Vacuoles-Cell Organelles

A vacuole is an organelle inside plant and animal cells that stores water and some waste.
An animal has small vacuoles which are barely more than large vesicles.
A plant has one much larger vacuole.

Vacuoles in animal cells? can you explain to me what that is? Is this the lysosoom? I have never heard of vacuoles in animal cells.. Nice video clear and nice tempo thank you

Animal cells have smaller vacuoles than the larger vacuole of a plant cell.

So I did research other than this video, and he is correct. There are vacuoles in animal cells. They are just much smaller and there's more of em in an animal cell. In the vacuoles in the animal cell, it collects nutrients that is needed for the cell to survive.

Basically a large sac that stores waste and water in plants. It can take up to 70% of the plant cells volume.

Leonor Serpas I studied this in French so the systems might be a bit different but I’m fairly certain vacuoles are mainly a characteristic of plant cells, despite rare exceptions. I’m sure you’re right and some animal cells have them, where talking about biology, nothing is written in stone.

@Siyuan (Violet) Sun vesicles are used for transportation around the cell and secretion for example so it is different from vacuoles. But i would just check Wikipedia it’s a very reliable site despite what many people say. So yeah sum up is that vacuoles are found in photosynthetic eukaryotic cells. Broadly speaking.
