His voice was amazing. He played negative roles to perfection in Qayamat se qayamat tak and Toofan.
His role in Shakti (1982) particularly the opening action sequences with Dilip Kumar was memorable. His arrest as Amrish Puri’s henchman named Yashwant was the pivotal point of the movie. Another effective performance was in the film Arjun (1985) as the local gang lord Ranga. After QSQT (1988) I expected filmmakers to give him main villain roles but that did not happen.
...and the background score of that scene from Shakti...goose bumps
The scene you mentioned from shakti was the magic of salim javed writing...even the smallest characters were given glory for a small time which made them unforgetable...that scene highlighted the soft heart of a goon which saved the life of a child
And in Agneepath ( 1989)
His character in Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa is my favourite one 🙂

Ek aap ho hai jo actors k baare me humesha se shows banati hai, thank you...aap ka yeh 8-10 minute ka video is far more better than many 30 minutes programs of today who serve below the belt and ridiculous comedy in the name of movie promotion

Aawaz thi bande ki ...loved his negative roles....but for me his best role was zamindar mukhya ji in Aag with Govinda...toofan, ganga jamna, phool aur kante, darwaza mat kholo (or darwaza bandh rakhna something like this) were some of my favorites...aik film main eye patch pehn ker langra ker role kiya... I can't seem to remember...but overall memorable voice
