I went to a show at the Spectrum in Philadelphia back in the late 80’s with a couple of friends. Arn, Tully, and King Haku walked right by us to the ring. One of my friends was heckling Haku making fun of him. Haku ignored the heckling but Arn turned towards my friend and said something along the lines of “that man will destroy me, Him (referring to Tully) and the bunch of you without breaking a sweat.”
I had heard haku was tough at that time, but the way Arn stopped and drove the point home all the way back then always stood out to me. I remember that better than most matches I saw back then

This incident happened on June 26th 1988 at the Safari Club in Baltimore. The name of the guy who lost his nose is Warren Brent Cooper and the name of the bouncer who Haku laid out is Nick J Stanko. Haku was sued for $1.1 million. The newspaper article is just a simple Google search away. The people trolling in the comments section saying that "the incident never happened" have most likely read this article but they pretend not to have seen it. If you don't like Haku stories or don't "believe" them then don't watch them, it's as simple as that.

I remember in my hometown in about 90 or 91, when I was about 21, I was in Quik Stop and we see this guy running full speed down the sidewalk coming straight for the store. He comes in saying “they’re going to kill me!” All of a sudden there’s these two guys approaching the store-neither are running. Just taking their time getting there. Shirtless, and no shoes. The store owner tells the guy he has to leave his store. Instead the guy goes behind the counter/register - I guess thinking he was safe. The two dudes came in, went behind the counter/register, drug the guy out by his arms and hair and proceeded to beat the guy for what seemed like forever. All you heard was don’t touch her again. The guys walked away, dude stumbled back into the store, a piece of his nose was gone, and his eye was out. The next day I see those same guys sitting on a lawn at the apartment complex right up the block from the Quik Stop. They recognized me from the store and told me why they did what they did. We had a couple beers and I got to meet some uncles and other family. Those two guys?? Eddie Fatu and Matt Anoai Better known as Umaga and Rosey. True story

This happened at the Safari Club if I recall. I was swimming in the pool or playing the arcade game when it happened. A friend of mine John was head supervisor so we went all the time to see the wrestlers.
Didn't see the incident but saw the clean up and people saying they never seen anything like it. And If also remember he assaulted the doorman too. Haku was a bad man that for sure.

Haku reminds me of 280lbs of whip ass! Actually, a super nice guy. I never could figure out why, of all the people in a restaurant or a sports bar, someone would pick out Haku to fight. I saw idiots try to pick fights with Animal, Hawk, Nasty Boys, & Harley. It didn't end very well for the idiots.

Not to mention, haku is physically tough, but mentally stupid. To allow a bunch of steroided, drunken pill poppers to egg him on to do some of the stupid shit he did. They simply made haku there entertainment and were nowhere to be found when haku was paying out lawsuits. Haku seems like a real likable nice guy, but it doesn't mean he's smart.

You know what is funny? Haku flat out stated this never happened. According to him a drunk guy said wrestling was fake so he smacked the guy around.
You honestly think Haku could bite a guys nose off, gouged a guys eye out and never be sued or go to jail? You said little marks will believe in anything.

Heard it all before, put him an MMA cage and see how he does, he would get destroyed. Of course he would destroy just members of the public.

MMA is for wimps. Too many rules. MMA fighters couldn't handle what Haku was bringing. If biting their nose off didn't stop them, he'd tear there testicles off.

Yeah put him on a croquet pitch and I'm sure he'd fall off his horse. Put him in any metric where there are rules and regulations of course he'd lose
I'm not allowed to kick your face off when you're on your hands and knees in a ufc cage - but is that gonna stop the man on the street?
Rules are there to stop people from getting seriously hurt or killed. In a street fight your objective is the exact opposite
But at least you got to exercise your fingers on a stupid comment, so there's that I suppose. You've burned _some_ calories today. Good for you 👍

Can you bring up any more totally useless comparison in order to make your self feel better. Bet you tell people you been in online fight today and think you can stand up to daddy now all proud 🤣🤣🤣💪

@@markymark7803 many UFC fighters, including champions, have said they would not get in a fight with a tough street fighter. Not a statement of whose better, but that the original point was that Haku was a true badass in a street fight situation without rules that favor heavily trained athletes.
