I mean, your health is a resource, being able to replenish that resource is actually nice without having to slow down for recalling to base, or going to get a berry or stop near a supporter, makes your uptime to interact with enemies even higher. I can see the logic.
There is a concept which I think comes from MMOs called APM which stands for actions per minute and you have perfectly described it
Also being able to trick the enemy into thinking you're weak enough to kill, I regularly run potion on goodra to synergize with it's ability to create this effect
Early game being low to lure them in, then popping potion, bubble, resonant guard, maybe focus band if I'm feeling it. A lot of people use the low hp targeting so you're far more likely to keep agro, you can cause agro to switch if you time your heals right
You can also bait the enemy team take bad engages with potion

Sustain for the ability to stay in play to get ahead on exp. You don't necessarily have to save it. It's cool down is so low you can just pop it off and it's generally up come time for a team fight.
Dodrio needs to stay hydrated, that is why potion is important
I think it works if you are skilled enough you can outplay most players. You won't really need Full Heal and like you said, those extra seconds you get to brawl thanks to Potion is the difference between win or lose.
Before charging charm was in the game, people used to double stack on Dodrio. Maybe that player just missed the beef.
When you use potion as often as possible, it's pretty solid

Potion dodrio is based on the premise of engage around full health every time
To everyone that doesnt understand the logic dodrio is so often rotating around the map that stopping for a recall in general is a disadvantage with the speed gague so instead of recalling back to base after every engage if you play drill peck potion is genuinely good and for tri attack it gives you more pressure to chase with much less risk of death
Imagine a buff for dodrio where each head scoring counted towards your stack.
It was released like that then it got nerfed cuz obviously it was too OP
@@NIGHTWINGEX I played it on release and I don't remember that mechanic. But I think it'd be fun to make more differentiation between certain functions of pokemon
It was like this when it got reelease on the PTS. When it got release on the actual game, it got nerfed already.

My guess would be cooldown, while Fullheal has 55 seconds cooldown you don’t necessarily have it up every fight, but potion is more consistent? Especially for a Pokémon like Dodrio which is able to hop in and out of fights 🤔

I’ve been a season 1 player. It’s pineapple on pizza. Potion is good now since it got buffed season 3 or whenever. Not a meme. High health mons it keeps you from returning to base. It keeps you in fights longer. Which helps your teamates in team fights more as a defender or supporter. Maybe because I’m a supporter main I’ve noticed more but yeah imagine all the damage ticks that took you out last minute. Ejects cooldown is wild. X speed is cool but sometimes doesn’t deliver. Potion literally extends your health bar such as running a cookie or something of the sort. It also allows you to farm longer if you’ve taken damage unless holding on to your escape items. Such a low cooldown for the health it gives.
Everyone please use potion more on the right mons. Hear me out Spragels
People already know that when it comes to defenders and supporters. It's just that the noobies keep using it on greninjas.

I would say potion needs a buff but then it might be too good on the Pokémon who use it.

I play A unconventional Dodrio build
It's Float stone Charge charm and Exp share with X speed and A speed base Emblem build and I love it I call it the Mach 20 Dodrio and and It's ability I learn isn't Meter based It's just if your moving is all
I use portions all the time, on any Pokemon at the start to get the hang of it😂🎉

Prefiro usar Dill Peck, o Dill Peck+ já cura o Dodrio, retirando a necessidade de usar poção, eu acho um item bem nada ver pra se usar no Dodrio 😂
X-Speed seria bom pra evitar que o Dodrio tenha a velocidade reduzida e possa usar ataques potencializados, ou até mesmo apenas para correr e pontuar, ele já é um pokémon rápido.
Full Heal tbm pode evitar que o Dodrio sofra com CC e slow, e evita que o combo dele seja interrompido

I personally get stunned way too much, unite is in the worst state: No ultra broken pokemon and draft but every team has two defenders, a supporter and 2 ranged attackers, 4 of them being stunners
It's frustrating to play well and not get multiple K.O.s because someone with 8000 less matches (300) pushes you 10 meters back with auto aim
I mean the number of matches doesn’t matter I have 4 accounts at this point so they all say around a thousand now doesn’t mean jack someof the worst players in this game have 8k + games
