I lived in Bengaluru from 2013-2018 and was in love with the city, the people, and the glorious Hindu culture of the city. Traffic was the only problem, especially in peak hours. I was extremely disappointed with the neglect that the city had to face in infrastructure projects. Complete coverage of the city with metro connection is a must for the shining jewel of mother India.
The governments across all political parties that ruled Karnataka has let its people down for 2 decades. Bengaluru has such potential. But its public infrastructure is worse than any poor underdeveloped country in the world. Try walking on 100 feet road in Indira Nagar and you'll know why I say that. Let's see if the next government at least take infrastructure and maintenance seriously.
Better extend very near to railway bridge, where it pending from both sides from Bayapannahalli and Tin factory..Construct half an kilometre temporary bride to cross this railway line Public without any luggage and office goers will easily cross the bridge. This will avoid the drama of metro feeder bus boarding and plying in the horrible traffic and ultimately physically climbing and crossing the bridge and again getting down the bridge, mooving towards again towards Bayapannahalli metro station. Why BMRCL is not constructing escalators both sides of road at Bayapannahalli is million dollars question.
Just introducing metro is not going to solve traffic problems. They need to increase feeder busses from various distant places to nearest metro stations. Take classic example of Mumbai. There feeder bus network is the best in India
since most jobs will get outsourced from countries like USA, UK and Europe to INDIA in the near future there will be more demand in bangalore , and more employment, more jobs for our large population . Metro connectivity definitely helps
People who are habituated to travelling by Cars, will not give up. Metro is inconvenient as it is over ground. From road level to reach till platform will take 10 minutes. This should be reduced.
This would ease the traffic congestion to a great extent. But, to all those traffic contributors who drive alone in CARS to their offices & back home; specially (sedans, MUV and SUV's) should realise themselves to make use of public transport efficiently. Such people are the biggest threat to the road transport and the reason for higher traffic developments in Bangalore (around IT parks). Just because they can spend enough on fuel and time doesn't mean to make others lives a painful journey of commutation. Holding higher ranks and designation brings good ransom, what is given back to the society makes handsome. LIVE AND LET LIVE. P.S - Bangalorean's (ಕನ್ನಡಿಗ) point of view. Open to accept difference of opinions 🤘🏻
Governments, town planning sleeps in India? when are these people going to work for the public? Which is more important building a metro or metro serving people? There needs to be connected infrastructure and service until the company doorsteps. That would mean building sky walks and transit routes through buildings, sidewalks a.k.a footpaths etc... just building the metros and dumping people outside the station is insufficient.

Plan 50 years ahead, then only indian metros will be in proper shape for future. Create parking spaces very close to metro stations connecting them to escalators for people who commute metro daily.
Internal roads are main culprit for the traffic congestion in main roads. If the internal roads are repaired and maintained in good conditions then 30 to 40% of the traffic will not come on main roads. Then existing BUS service would be faster enough on main roads for daily commuters. Example Electronic City to Jp nagar has ULTRA damaged and narrowed roads hence people unnecessarily take Hosur Road hmmm.
Hope the planning of connectivity of metros is done in such a way that the maximum people are benefitted and the peak traffic jams get eased very much. Else generally in India especially in metro cities and 2 tier cities it is seen that inspite of all the transport infrastructure, the traffic jam is still almost the same with no substantail benefit of time of travel for the people. This is due to poor planning without understanding the traffic pattern of the crowd travelling. If so much money is pumped in transport infrastructure, there should be no traffic jams post that as well people able to save more than 20 - 30 minutes of travel time, else all these infrastructure are just not worth the money spent. Ofcourse, frankly, its not about decongestion by transport infrastructure than can bring relief to people, its about uniform spread of key establishments and companies in all directions so that focus of travel for people is not in one direction.

Better extend very near to railway bridge, where it pending from both sides from Bayapannahalli and Tin factory..Construct half an kilometre temporary bride to cross this railway line
Public without any luggage and office goers will easily cross the bridge.
Go to Rajasthan
It would be really good if they connect byappanahalli to KR Puram.
Kr pura adu.kannu kaanalwa
Just introducing metro is not going to solve traffic problems. They need to increase feeder busses from various distant places to nearest metro stations. Take classic example of Mumbai. There feeder bus network is the best in India
since most jobs will get outsourced from countries like USA, UK and Europe to INDIA in the near future there will be more demand in bangalore , and more employment, more jobs for our large population . Metro connectivity definitely helps
Videography is supetb
Great news of new metro train
Electronic metro starterd long before but it is work in progress and years to complete. Else other cities would take over for sure.
Lol..| Then they'll ask you like are you feeling jealous of us....)
This was needed in Phase 1 or at max phase 2 not in phase 2A / 2B
TBH Metro isn’t fast.. It’s only about convenience..

Karnataka is home for 150 languages. Urdu, Konkani, Kodava and Tulu are also widely spoken. Carnatic music is associated with All South India and Sreelanka. That is the acceptance of Kannada. The oldest Kannada inscription was discovered at the small community of Halmidi and dates to about 450 ce. Not 4000 year old. Many tribal languages accompanied together and form today's format. Modi's push for infra is unprecedented and gati shakti is a strategic investment. But last mile connectivity needs to improve and should be cheap. Create parking spaces very close to metro stations connecting them to escalators for people who commute metro daily.
Still no where close to Chinese city connections and its 2023, transportation infrastructures cannot be overlooked anymore.
Internal roads are main culprit for the traffic congestion in main roads. If the internal roads are repaired and maintained in good conditions then 30 to 40% of the traffic will not come on main roads.
