+Troy Watkins I opened the beer to test function and to lighten up the video, but you would not believe the number of people that have told me the same. So, from hence forth if there's a bottle opener we will test it! (and it's a good excuse to have a beer ;-) )
How long does the bottle opener last? I open a lot of beers and I have bottle opener keychains that wear out after like 50 bottles. Does the bottle opener still work for you guys after a few years?
+Michael Mazzola If there's a bottle opener, I won't miss the opportunity to have a beer with everyone. Glad you liked the video and that sand color is nice.
GOOD review, brother! I’m actually considering grabbing EITHER one of these two knives, and in the same colors. Shuffle 2 it is. Thanks for taking the time to review these two! 💪🇺🇸
I can't wait to take a look at the shuffle 2! I did a review over on my channel about the 1st shuffle and had the same issues/likes with it. Great review!
Just picked one of these up at my local big box hardware store for $9.99. Very cool and useful knife. Love the bottle opener too! Just for info, I did have to exchange the first one because the liner lock was faulty and would not engage. The second one works perfect though. Sub'd. and thumbs up.
I've had the Shuffle II for a few months and there are a couple of reasons I decided to order a Shuffle. the horrible (IMO) tip down carry and worthless (IMO) bottle opener on the Shuffle II. Tip down carry makes it useless as an EDC pocket carry, as you mentioned. Hang it on a pack and its useable. Definitely not a good feature as it is clumsy to deploy when our other hand is holding an object to cut open. Just the way it is, tip up rules for this function whether it is a flipper, thumb hole or stud. I don't mind the Tanto blade change as it makes opening boxes that claim shouldn't be opened with a blade totally doable. Just grab the blade at the vector junction of the two cutting angles and use your finger/thumb as a depth guide. Still, I'm looking forward to the drop point. You bring up an excellent point about the lack of protection on the choil, I'll have to see how that goes. I tried the bottle opener and it is less than ideal. Can it function? Maybe. Just leave the gimmicks off the blade and give us a mini pry bar/driver/glass breaker with a lanyard hole and call it good. The Shuffle III might actually hit the mark should Kershaw want to improve this knife.
I pretty much agree and in this size knife the CRKT Squid may be be better blade or a small Spyderco/Byrd like the Dragonfly. It is almost a guarantee that Kershaw will have a Shuffle 3 at some point, the first two have sold extremely well. But, you can bet it'll have some sort of bottle opener on it. Thanks for watching and have a great day!
I dunno. If I close my shuffle the way you did here, with my thumb still in the path of the blade, it ends up in that first finger choil which is definitely flat/unsharpened, if lacking a ricasso. However, I don't tend to push the blade far enough for that to be an issue when I'm closing them.
I think the problem is that you're a guy with good sized hands trying to use a small, compact, short handled knife. I find the Shuffle's handle to be too short for my hand as it leaves my little finger hanging off and not able to get a grip. I think it would have been a winner off the bat if they had created the knife or at least another model (Could have been the Shuffle 2) with a 4 inch long handle and making shallow grooves or none at all. I like Tanto tips, but they should have kept or offered it with a drop point. Your detailed analysis supports the design of the Shuffle 2 as superior in terms of the blade design (The flat area) and other improvements or changes. Both bottle openers are cool, but I just happen to like the second one.
thanks for the review. i like to have a healthy assortment of knives and guns to fit my activity or level of dress and this is a nice cheap, but usable, addition. one disagreement, i think a sturdier blade, bigger with a bigger spine, would make a better camping blade.i prefer a fixed blade in the woods since hiding it is unnecessary this is definitely more of a light edc knife to me
+DWings I respect your opinion, but for me the knife is too heavy (for it's size) for EDC, when there are other lots of other reasonably priced knives that are lighter and better suited for EDC. If I could only have one and had $20 this would be on the short list.
just got mine the other day, LOVE it. the knife is sexy, sharp, and the flathead screwdriver, which I thought would be useless, is actually really good for attaching/detaching optics and bipods and stuff at the gun range
Glad to hear it, I keep one on my work bench to open the occasional bottle and the stout little blade is great, I'll have to throw it in my range bag and see how that goes as well.
I don't drink alcohol beverages, such as beer, but I may have to start; so many knives include bottle openers and that solution needs to be presented with the problem it solves.
I really don't know if that's a good reason to start drinking, maybe ease into it with some Sarsaparilla or IBC root beer in bottles. Thanks for watching and have a great day!
found your channel thru bird, saw this knife on their channel got one and wasn't impressed. its a cool looking knife with a decent blade. the scales are too plastic for me and flex if you squeeze it. if it had g10 scales think it would be a win for the price. only have one other Kershaw (launch 4 ) but plan on buying more
I agree, the Shuffles, make good throw in the truck or clip on a pack knife but, I wouldn't carry one for my main blade. Welcome aboard there's always lots more in store around here.
Any problems with accidental partial deployment in your pocket? My last couple pocket knives have partially opened in my pocket and it's not a fun problem.
Have you disassemble the knife and checked the bushings and other mating surfaces? Sometimes knives will go back together all centered up, if you do this. If that doesn't work or you're not willing to disassemble it, then send it back to the retailer or Kershaw and make them replace/fix it.
Can you confirm that the pocket clip screws thread into the steel liners and not into the FRN scales? There's a review on amazon that claims the threads are on the scales and thus would naturally ream out within little time. Seems like too fundamental an error in design for kershaw as a tool designer to make...
Opening that beer seriously sold me on this. Once I saw that cap pop off, went ahead and clicked "order" lol
+Troy Watkins I opened the beer to test function and to lighten up the video, but you would not believe the number of people that have told me the same. So, from hence forth if there's a bottle opener we will test it! (and it's a good excuse to have a beer ;-) )

Great practical review. This may be the only one out there showing a bottle top removal. This helped me decide to get one (sand color) today. Thanks!
+Michael Mazzola If there's a bottle opener, I won't miss the opportunity to have a beer with everyone. Glad you liked the video and that sand color is nice.

I think you deserve more attention, great in depth video, gonna pick up a shuffle 2 today.
+michael ramras Thanks! Enjoy your Shuffle 2, zap me a pic of it, on social media, the links are in the description.
So did you? Can you give some feedback, are you satisfied, is it good? Ty
awesome review..saw the shuffle 1 and it's various colors..wow!, but then I saw this video. total game changer, thanks a lot!
this is the review that convinced me to actually pick up this little guy. not a bad little extra or as I say back up pocket knife.
+Fangsinurface Yup, it's a good backup and even a good EDC for some people. Always glad the video helped.
Best review out there, I found it really helpful!
+D Herrera Thanks, I'm glad it helped!
Was hesitant on if I wanted to get it, but sold me on it. Great video.
Thanks and enjoy your new Shuffle 2, it's a great little knife. Thanks for watching and have a great day!
I love the fit. I hope it doesn't break. The bottle opener is huge for me as well.
I'm very surprised by this cheap knife!
I can't wait to take a look at the shuffle 2! I did a review over on my channel about the 1st shuffle and had the same issues/likes with it. Great review!
I'll check it out, thanks for watching
You did a great job with this video, I was very impressed! Thanks for the info on the Shuffle II.
+hyperguy75 Thanks! glad you enjoyed it, I enjoy making them.
Thank you so much for the advice. I will try and let you know
Great info thanks! I carry the first shuffle but can't wait to try this one!
Your welcome and I hope you enjoy the Shuffle 2.
Thanks for watching and have a great day!
I like it zel looks like one for a camp pack edc pack nice backup blade
Those hooks are made to be used as a bottle opener

Thanks buddy, it's a great one and that bottle opener is sweet icing on the cake!
Thanks for watching and have a great day!

I'll give the Squid a try at some point.
Thanks and have a great day Zel!
I miss Boulevard on tap. Can't get it where I am now.

+CSharp I don't tend to go that far either, it's more about Kershaw giving us an option for one handed closing that is less dangerous.
Nice video

Zelrick Haha, someone didn't get the sarcasm.
Thank you sir and god bless.

Favorite knife 🔪 😍
OD Green, Imma go back and get the Tan, tomorrow. Lmaooo

I don't have the knife on hand, but I pretty positive that the screws go into the steel, I've never seen a Kershaw where they threaded into the G10.
do you know what size the torx screws are?
T8 for the pivot and T6 for the rest.
Have a great day!
Shuffle 1 is much better
Ithink They make the 2 because 1 is not enough 😂😂😂 ✌️ peace
