This is absolutely ingenious. The best color change technique I have seen ever. I love it ❤ and can't wait to try this with my next project. Thank you so much
I bought a pattern on Etsy not realizing it required color changing like this and I haven’t done it seamlessly yet. You give me confidence that I can do it!!
THANK YOU!! I’ve been looking forever for a video that shows a color change and lets me understand how to do it consistently and all this time i only had to hide the second yarn behind the stitches so i dont have to constantly cut it!
This was very helpful! So many patterns just say to drop the yarn and then pull it across the back of your work, but I don’t like the way that looks at all. I love this so much more. Thank you very much.
I know this is an old video, but I just learned how to crochet and this is the best explanation on how to do this that I've found! You are a really great teacher! I suscribed as I also love your amigurumi tutorials ❤
Thank you for this; trying to make a puffin for my mom, and this is the first project I've done that's had multiple color changes in a single row, and my attempts up to this point have... not looked good, lol.
Thanks for this one issue I found when doing only a few st in a round in a long ear on a rabbit was the colour was always shiffting in the direction I was working no idea why, but I see you cut the yarn each row where as I tried looping it back inside
My friend from work has been teaching me to crochet, but sometimes I want learn to do something to surprise her and this has helped me so much. Thank you! On another note, which yarn do you use? It looks so clean.
Hi...do you know why color change areas look tilted to one side? Like the white part on the monkey is very straight on the left and right side. But for me in similar projects the right side is even and the left side looks different. Thank you.
@@SuromitaMondal Hi! There are a few ways to improve this. Only some people with magic tension can have colour changes in the round without tilting with normal stitches. 1) Front loop only. Do all stitches in FLO. Best method in my experience. 2) Yarn under instead of yarn over. Also instead of going in spirals try to have a joining stitch. I dislike the slip stitch and chain 1, but invisible slip stitch join is a little better. There're also more methods for a join that doesn't show up.
I don’t recommend FLO, it will change the shape of the pattern. Only use a join stitch when the pattern tells you to. It will change the shape of the pattern. I recommend practicing the color change.
@@DIYFluffies Yes I watched the video and I came to the realisation that Iup until now, I was working inside out! and that's why I never was getting the colour change correct! thanks for your video!! :)
Omgosh, best video ever on color changing. Been crocheting for decades....Thank you!
Thank you!
This was so helpful. I've been learning how to make my own patterns recently, but I never knew how to change colors seamlessly. Thank you so much!
This is absolutely ingenious. The best color change technique I have seen ever. I love it ❤ and can't wait to try this with my next project. Thank you so much
Very clear and very helpful. We add small patches of the new yarn never cutting the main color, that is genius. Thank you!!

Hello, question from a newbie please. Are you turning your work inside out so that the yarn ends do not show?
TheFarrg I’m not sure what your question is, did you watch the video? If you did, you can see I never turn it inside out.
