Cool riffs in that song but many chords .Sadly enough I just can't play electric guitar since 2 weeks because my lovely wife got breast cancer and she had a lot of pain and chemo treatement .We both lived very healthy but the cancer got her .I hope she can recover and I could start playing again. We both had no children and with that virus on top of this it's very hard times .So for now ,I only can whatch you playing and try to learn some more and I have something to set my mind on.
sharkytwo i feel you brother. I too stopped playing two yrs ago when my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. I put my own life on hold to focus on her well being during surgery, chemo, then radiation. I learned to take a few minutes here and there to play with the amp off. Now two yrs later, she is in full remission and currently cancer free. So when i recently spent two grand on a new Tele Thinline Elite, she was very happy for me. The bottom line brother, never give up, love her with all your heart, and give yourself a few minutes here and there to pick that bad boy up and rock! Even if its with the amp off. Prayers and love to you and your lovely wife. :)
@@haroldhatley4275 thank you very much and I try to follow you're advice. I play a bit acoustic now and then in the garage outside. But cancer with chemo is hard for my wife. It's not easy to undergo such a hard treatment that kills the bad but also the good cells. But I got some good supporting mails from guys here in Belgium where I live so that helps a lot. At first I thought she would die because the cancer has spread in her bones and a bit her lung. Now I think maybe there is a chance she can recover though doctor said she never will become cancer free only keeping under control. Greetings and enyoy playing.
Sir Paul is a bloody genius. just re - watched the live stream from NYC from about a year ago, he still got it in spades. love this tune and your presentation. the how to strum with lively feel is real good. I'm a give it a go, cheers. Ü ♫
Always loved Macca. Same birthday too (he's older though) Wife has Lennon's birthday. We've lasted longer than the Beatles though. Back in the 70s, there was a group of girls we called The Mooners a few blocks from our circle. You can guess why! Always trying to get our attention. They were younger so we didn't go there. One was called Jet. The other girls said she was born on a flight and it stuck. She was shy and sweet! And this song always reminded me of her. Here's to her and I hope she's had a good life. Jet is a cool name! Thanks for this kind of detail. Love it!
Great shirt! Those were the days... when I was in high school in the early eighties, my friends & I would hop a train or bus and head over to 48th street on our regular pilgrimages to drool over all those guitars! Man, there were some great guitar stores in NY!
Great rhythm lesson -- a lot more to it than meets the eye. And check out that right hand, super-relaxed and making it look easy. Love your way of playing and teaching!
Just completed my version based on this lesson, and it came out not too bad! wanted to say as a sidebar, been following your channel James James for a few years now, and you are super helpful. Somehow, going down the rabbit hole of You Tube, hit upon a Prive Tracker Video about a year ago, and of course figured out you guys were one and the same. Going down said rabbit hole today, I came across "Prive Trackers Final Video". After watching it, I just gotta say, I am so glad you didn't stop because of the negativity on the other channel. I am a mediocre ( off and on over the years) guitar player, and it is so helpful to me to tune into your videos and get a straightforward lesson on how to play songs. Nothing wrong with the high caliber shredding videos on you tube or the folks that produce them, but this is way more at a level that I can understand and learn how to play at. Your videos are truly a service to guys like me who are maybe just about at the intermediate level. I have a channel myself where I do play along's, but when I cant figure out the song by ear I look for it on your channel. Sometimes I've only had to steal a chord from you, lol! But thanks again, and please keep them coming!
James I said it before and I'll say it again.. man do I love that guitar! she is gorgeous! with beautiful tone!! I'm jealous... my favorite out of all your guitars.
I just found a stash of a classic Manny’s Medium picks from the 80’s, so funny you are wearing that shirt today. Let me know if you would like a few. (I’ve got some other picks you would like as well).
I have the same tee shirt. First time I went there was the 70's. The little red haired boy who did the Underwood Deviled Ham Spread commercial who could barley pronounce, "smorgasbord" was in there buying a Stratocaster.
👍🏻🎸 The guitar is an extremely expressive and personal instrument that can create a wide range of emotions both from the performer and listener simply by how it, as well as the amplifier, is manipulated. They are far from something mechanical and can be given a life of its own in the hands of an experienced individual.
Oh yeah baby! You inspired me to (at least) think I can do that one. Reminds me of my youth when my pop would stick the quadraphonic stereo speakers out the window and blast Wings while doing yard work. Thanks!
I give thumps at first second possible. I have been watching this channel for almost ten years and have become a better rhythmn player. Now I have 7 guitars (side effect) of this channel.
I need to try that the only guitar I got that was the fender Stratocaster Squier but I’m sure that’ll work, but I think would sound good if I had a Les Paul, I’m gonna give that a try to
Such a strange feeling. That Les Paul looks naked to me without the Keith art. :) I've got a two-bit black Epiphone LP with two humbuckers. It's close enough for me feeling like Keith or Neil. Point being, I have a hi-res version of Keith's painting I thought of printing out and applying to my guitar rather than painting directly on it. Let me know if you'd like the file. You can test it out without ruining your axe.
Great stuff. You keep mentioning 'Beginner' and 'Intermediate' levels. What would you call the next level beyond that? 'Advanced' sounds a little too much :)
Yes I'm an intermediate level! I could almost get through all that first try! Only took 40 years 😝

Sir Paul from my hometown . Never gets plaudits for his guitar playing but an accomplished player he is . Thanks James
Paul Kopite74 well this was McCullough or Laine I am guessing.
I am not dissing George; but the Beatles would have been an edgier band if Paul played lead.
@@jamesm.3967 True, it’s McCulloch, but Paul and Laine played guitars on the original recording.
I always felt like that intro riff was way too epic for the rest of the song.

I love this song, it’s one of my favorites from Sir Paul Macca, even including all of his Beatles stuff as well.
I grew up with that song. Love it
Very nice! 👍
The first song I learned on bass 50 years ago...thanks!

Wow! a Manny's T-shirt. A real collector's item. Manny's has been Guitar Center for years now on W.54th.
I think I just found my new teacher, WICKED player bro. Thanks !

Love this song. Thanks man!
Fabulous lesson! Awesome as always! Thanks!!
Great lesson love this song always imagine what this would have been like as a beatles number along with maybe im amazed.
Another good one. Thanks.
As a massive McCartney fan I've heard this 100's of times but as a guitarist never learnt it till now, there's cool ideas in there, sweet LP too btw ✌

I really appreciate your covering this song I've been hoping that you would, man I love this tune...are you in standard tuning?
It sounds me a lot like Junior´s farm or The Mess. Isn´t it? Thanks.
🔥
Yeah!
James have you ever played in a band or do any live gigs? Thatd be awesome to see though not sure if revealing your face is an option!
o man, i bought my hihat cymbals there (mannys)
Thank you for the amazing chords.

These are getting good man , I love this shit !! Thanks man cheers!
Nice guitar. I would put the gold strings on it.
Hey, good video. Are you still using the Marshall valvestate amp for the videos?
he last few yrs uses Peavy Vyper 100
Maximum distortion!
I haven't seen your Father. How is he doing?
Sigh. I can play JHS's solo on Kid, but I still can't do a proper "yaggerdang". Guess I am still stuck in "Beginner" class :0(
What effects are you using?
Just a little gain from the amp.
First album I ever bought. Thanks for this.
In case you didn't see this:Stones concert ua-cam.com/video/dlD2CpQ__as/v-deo.html
