The desert plants are beautiful. I'm glad I got to see that during the intro..
Awesome trip short but informative. Cant say enough about the quartz walls. " excellent "!!!!!@
Hahahahha so come on let’s go!! I was wondering when I would stumble across a video showing cacti in the shoes!!!! Also been binge watching for almost a week
I really like the long intro vids jeff with the eastwood music❤❤❤
Jeff, I absolutely love every one of your episodes I have watched so far. You are a wealth of information, and I am very excited to begin my new found love of gold prospecting. Thank you for being you, you are awsome!
I'm curious, when did he develop the "SO COME ON LET'S GO!" persona? He seems pretty mellow in this video.
Hey Jeff,
I am curious about gold pockets. Got any old timer photographs of one? I found you on youtube one-day when I was super bummed. Your how to identify rocks lifted me up and I felt like a new person. Please don't listen to those guys who are jelly of your uplifting character. You and Slim make me and countless others smile inside. Keep up the good work and thank you for you selflessness.
Hil
Fire89 I think I have a few in an old bag somewhere in our cabin but it has been a long time. Really happy to hear that our vids can put a smile on your face no matter what and that makes it worth it . We have more on the way that we really think you are gonna like so stay tuned.
Jeff and Slim
Yes Jeff the cure to all gold minors and prospectors like us he's a legend in making
@@ANCIENTASTRONAUT411 I don't even know why I watch these video but this dude has an incredible character and personality and is a great at teaching things I would never even think of wanting to know.
Dude starts his own drift-mine, pulls out oz nuggets and then just gives them away to his patrons. Who tf does that? Jeff Williams does.
You and Slim are a pleasure to watch. I think I have watched all your videos. Please post more.
Bridgette Brown We certainly will but only if you promise to watch them. Jeff and Slim
You can count on it. Happy gold searching
Awesome, love the history, great tour!
Loved your intro. Excellent video all round. One of the best UA-cam gold videos I have seen. Nice work Jeff.

Jeff and Slim
Love the tour and the gold not bad too
enjoyed the "Two Mules for Sister Sara" theme song and the info on Eldorado Canyon .
Lewis Wilbur I was going to say it sounds like the music from a Clint Eastwood movie haha
This is your best video creation up till now!!!
A 16X9 screen ratio would be amazing with all that nice desert scenery.
Next time, you could wet your screening material as you shake it into the pan.
Who knows, might get more gold that way.
Love the historical background... good stuff.
Two muals for sister Sara!!!! LOL The song I remember that movie my dad used to play it all the time.
I really enjoyed your video. great place to visit someday Thanks Buddy
Omg that music was on point love it
Very Professional. Super vid. Thanks for sharing.
One of your coolest videos.
Jeff! This is your best intro ever. Of course I'm biased because I like old westerns, I have a felling do to.
Something I learned about the lead in gold pans. The lead might natural because they also used to mine it in the Eldorado Canyon area. It would not be the first time lead that was found in areas where tailings might have been. I have some tailings from certain mines that I got permission to take from old mines in other areas. I have some that were given to me that came from the Big Horn mine before it closed down in the 1960's (they belonged to a miner a long time ago). Some of them have visible lead especially the Big Horn samples. Where I live I go to a spot near Bear Valley to pan for gold and collect Opal and junk gems. What is surprising is that a lot of the sand in my spot is 30% magnetite and there is a lot of gold in it once you get enough experience to separate it from the black sand, heavy quartz and fools gold (the weights and varying density create some challenges). Doing this I commonly find lead in my pan. Lead, silver and gold are often found in the same areas. The reason I mentioned the tailings is miners samples I have from the Big Horn mine that he was given have pieces of one of the quartz veins in them. While you have to use a microscope to see the gold there are visible lead and silver deposits on the same rock. If you take a rock hammer from Quartz deep in a Nevada mine a lot of times all 3 metals can be very visible. Sometimes platinum can be found in gold baring sand and rock too (especially in some parts of Arizona and San Diego County California). Platinum is a prime example of why it is important to know metals because it is more valuable than gold sometimes. It is like people in the Mojave who a lot of the time can't tell quartz from opal and that is an expensive mistake.
Gold will always be in small quantities in tailings /mine dumps. Lead however, which crystalized earlier from the hydrothermal solution will be larger crystals associated with zinc and silver. Yeah, opal is a gem stone like amethyst and agate distinguished with amounts of water of hydration. and the other ions present as impurities in their crystal lattice. Let me know when you have a good collection of these.
The lead must have attached around the veins later and leached into the same sand then.
I am currently reading Alabama Gold: A History of The South's Last Mother Lode. On a Kindle app on my Nextbook 8 Tab. The book describes miners tunneling under the Quartz vein and "Shooting it" down into the tunnel.
Nelson is my first stop to ! Loocing in Colorado river to ! Like u jeff a lot
Hey Jeff;
An amazing entrance!
What a great place to visit! Have to get down there some day for a visit!
They certainly earned their money back then in the mining business! I can't imagine how much work it had to have been!
You didn't have a lot of material and you picked up some nice Yellow! Impressive!
Another awesome video Jeff!
Haven't found your show on TV yet, but I will keep looking!
Al
I can't believe you walked through all those chollas and over those hills when there was a perfectly good road into the place. LOL.. Hey good intro. Kinda reminded me of Curly when you were trying to get those cholla balls off your feet. Hey nice gold for right next to the dang road!
creative and informative, love teh intro, subscribed, keep up the great work!
I love the intro! Looks like this was done when Slim was a young man!💀
it is good to see you in deep water. i hope to see you at the pomona show . i have a new jr. detector. i would like if you could show me how to work it.
Another great job with the vid Jeff
This had a national geographic taste to it, The way you put it seems I could go out my front door and start mining(Ks.) I don't think so. No but really another great vid and I sure appreciate you doing them. Keep it up and I will watch, Thanks Jeff
Great video Sunny Jim

have you heard of another eldorado canyon on the west side of salton sea, great video thanks jeff
Hey Jeff! Great video! Nice intro! Don't you just hate that Cholla catus sticking to you everywhere...LOL. But the dead Cholla Catus wood make for great pens and mechanical pencils and when cast with metal, great napkin rings! So there is benefit in all things. Now that the weather is getting warmer, the snakes are coming out. Thanks for sharing!
The intro was long but awesome to watch !!

Cool vid, on what you did, so get out there and be bold and get that yellow GOLD.
Awesome Jeff! :)
very nice video thanks for sharing.
i was wondering how are you able to go into old mines I have a lot in Colorado and also I was wondering if you known of any good spot here I would appretiate it
I would like to have some music like that on my videos. Sister Sarah, one of my favorites. Got all Clint's stuff. I don't know how to do that yet.... As always, awesome stuff, Jeff. Thanks, from the Alaskan Wilderness.... Brad
Jeff,
What detector do you suggest in the 1200 range for finding gold in hard rock near surface. Like a quartz vein just below dirt. Is there a detector in this range that can find gold that is 3 inches or more down in the rock?
Thanks!!
Jeff what is the best all around classifying screen{what mesh}? for vac packing and dry washing running through my keene micro sluce& general panning, without buying all the different classifying screens?
Well I would have to say a number 4. Jeff
Your welome, intro could have been long but it holds together very well,it's got to be done right to pull it off &it was. Cheers&keep em comin yeeeHaaar.
I was just researching this place and I’m happy to see that you made a video of it as well. I’m new to the area and want to find some gold. Do you know if I’ll be able to wave my gold bug 2 in the washes near this town? Thank you
there are a few spots that you can
Hell yea. Get it all .you deserve it 😁
its your infectious childlike enthusiasm that keeps me interested in this show is their a way I can subscribe without using my debit card
Thanks Jake......don't grow up ....never get old.... Paypal.....
Awesome as always Jeff! When I ran into you at Desert Outfitters I gave you my eBay tag on accident instead of my UA-cam tag...oops. lol same tag but without a slash. I have a Keene 140, Minelab 5000gpx, Gold bug 1, lots of buckets and a whole lot of energy and drive. I really love this! I plan on going to Johnnie Mining district on a GSSN claim this Friday. If you want to join or if you want a green horne like myself to join you just give me a call. Take care and happy hunting!!
Hi Jimmy, did you get the Minelab dialed in. Have to check the schedule for this Friday. Thanks for the Super comments too. I will let you know what we have going on.Thanks for the invite. Jeff
Howdy! I do not think I have it dialed in..yet. I just need more time on it to get the feel for it. With me being so new to this at times I feel I am doing something wrong.I am not confident with it. But with time and practice that will change! I have 3 coils for it so I am still getting used to getting " to know " the difference between the double D and mono and which areas are high and or low in mineral content. I do have to remind myself that it is a pretty advanced piece of technology and I should not get discouraged considering I have no training or very little experience with it. It will all work out with time. Anyhow thanks for the response and looking forward to having some fun in the future! Good day.
Yeah, I saw one of those damn jumpers hitch onto your pant leg and thought man hope you get it before it gets you!
Are you a geologist Jeff? Great videos! more plz :)
Why do some mines need are pumped in?
Why does this mine nor fill with water like others do?
I don't see any steel rails for removing ore??
Hi Jim....most mines have a ventilation system of some kind ( air pipes vent shafts, ect ) because the headings have no air circulation and carbon dioxide will build up on the floor and that is no good . Most mines when the close pull the vent tubes out....you have to be below the water table to have water seeping into the drift and thus have the mine fill with water...
good job as always jeff p.s. watch out for them jumping cholla.keep em comming.
Nice catch you got;-)!
Hi Betty I thought so too. Jeff
THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT !!!
Hey Jeff, great video as always! I will be going to El Dorado Mine and would like to metal detect myself in the area. Any idea of where you are allowed to do it? Are there restrictions or mine claims where you would need permission? I am a member of the GPAA. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Congratulate you are serious about your business man
good videos Jeff + slim
Best gold miner ever
well thank you Timmy for saying so but trust me I am still learning about that old Shiney and it's favorite Hiding places. Jeff
Jeff that was a nice haul from the vacuum, think I might get one, sure beats sweeping and scraping and shoveling into a bucket.
Re sampling did you use the gold pan dry or wet??? Also I made myself the black tub and drain with the stand and man it sure is great , saves the back too. Thanks for that tip!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Jeff Gary in Ohio. Used to live in Camp Verde, ye ha. anyway, I know there was gold in area Prescott area and loved that place. I now live in Ohio so, not much gold here. enjoy your shows. going to heading to vero beach tomm. alright.
Hey Jeff I just became a premium member and was curious about where these two gold mines claims that you have are act I can't find them on your web information
Hi Jake, what 2 claims are we talking about my friend...
Great tour!
Jeff, I was thinking about buying a metal detector.. Would you recommend any? although it seems you are not a big fan of metal detectors, anyway, I want to get one not too expensive. Thanks again!
Thanks for the video...I live in Henderson and want to take my son somewhere close to get into the hobby...this sounds like the perfect area....so are the washes that are walkable from the river loop legal? I don't see any claims on any of the claim maps...but there are still a few lode claims near the mine.
our pleasure and you have to be careful around park land cause the rangers will get you. Most maps will have the lines marked.
JS
+Ask Jeff Williams I take it that's what Google maps shows in green then?
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
AWESOME INDEED Sir!! 😎👍👍
Thanks Tom.
very nice video, I like it... btw how many miles do you walk daily... it make you always in a good shape.. beautiful entvironment, and interesting video inside the mine shaft.
Thank You, you did a good thing !!!
Jeff what mesh is a number 4 screen? Thank you.
1/4 inch screen. Jeff
Informative video, thanks! And it's tolerable when I turn the sound off and skip to the two minutes where you remember what the title of the video is.
Thank you for the great video! As you know Lake Mojave was a Colorado River back in the day. Do you think there is gold In the Lake today, below the mine?
Hi Brandon, I am sure there is some fine Gold in the Sand Bars and along the rivers edge but being that it is park land no prospecting is allowed. Jeff
Thanks again :)
Hi Jeff, I love your videos, an inspiration to my search and you remind me a lot to my beloved brother with his beard and western aspect hahahahaha. How is called the song of the video?. Greetings from Argentina
Nice bro
Built my own vac pac, got some gold
Jeff your a great teacher, Please keep posting content. Your Father must of been one heck of a guy.
thanks and yes he was and will always be the very best
I think my NBMG book said the placer gold in the Elldorado district is 720 to 780 fine. Does that sound right to you ?
jumping cholla seem to like you can't do the Walter Houston dance with those digging in your shoes...lol ps for anyone going out there, take along tweezers and needle nose plyers the jumping cholla like to roll around and keep sticking you while you try to get them out...
Your choice of music reminds me of the TV series "In Search of . . . . . " narrated by Spock (Leonard Nimoy).
Your much more calm in this vid than in your later vid
no coffee on that one. Jeff
very cool from uk
Maybe I missed it, but can anyone go here and search for gold in the wash(s)? Equipment allowed? Fees?
Thank You
Thanks again
No problem
"My name is Jeff". Lol
#Memes
Love your videos. So come on let's go. Lol
