It takes talent to get out there and be heard by thousands and possibly millions. But isn’t too much skill required rapping wise. Really a sound and flow is all that matters
Abraham Rodriguez I agree but also disagree. There are hype rappers that have made it and have stayed jn the game, but usually the ones do have something unique about them. They tend to blow up faster then those who who have much skill, but at the same time have to fight to reman relevant. Well as rappers who’ve blown after up grinding for awhile tend to be more relevant bc they have a fan base with a history. Either side can lose relevance, its just more common with hype rappers.
I'm a new logic fan, but when ocd came out lots of old logic fans said it could be a sign that he is going back to his old style. What are your thoughts?
@Mach I’m a recent logic fan too. I think his next album will decide his future. If he reverts to his old lyrical stuff, man has potential to become a top tear rapper. This is probably his final chance tho. He come with a weak album, he’s gonna fall of for good.
It’s like the Boondocks episode where Riley gets his Lethal Interjection chain, and Leonard said the beat needs some work; the yes men jumped on him instantly & kicked him out.
It’s a good theory - but honestly Logic would’ve been surrounded by yes men before he started putting music out like Twisted. I’ll pose a different theory. Logic used to be signed to Visionary Music Group, see his Wiki page. Not too further into signing with them and putting out his initial mixtapes Def Jam came into the picture with a smaller investment, I believe 200k. They resigned him years later, when he was at his “peak” this time for an undisclosed amount of money, possibly in the 10s of millions according to TMZ. They made a huge investment on him. The way the music industry works is, if you sign for X amount, you’re basically signing your rights as an artist for a portion of what the label believes you can make them. This is where an artist can become trapped artistically. They then can, by contract, force your hand to work with certain artists and producers. Honestly in Twisted you could tell Logic was uncomfortable with the subject matter and totally out of his element. Add some weed and booze to the mix and, for him at least, it makes it easier to go through with records like that with minimal to no effort, undermining his artistic imprint. He’s now under pressure from the label to recoup his advance by album sales and tours so he’s having to appeal to a larger mainstream audience. Had he stayed independent, the sound you would hear would be different. I’m also sure the split between him and his ex wife had something to do with influencing his sound and persona. But this is all just speculation.
I remember a rapper dmed me on ig to review his song, and I gave him honest reviews and said that he was appreciative of honest review. He loved seeing what he could improve on. This is what rappers need to do now, they need to start taking criticism seriously
Same happened recently with a rapper in my area who asked for my honest review, told him his music wasn’t bad but there were some areas he could improve on to stand out a bit more, he took it offensively af and started calling me a hater and put it on his story saying things like “people really be trynna knock you down to make themselves feel better about their lives” 🥴
I feel like having “yes-men” as friends can also come from how you are as a person cuz some people just can’t take criticism well at all and chooses not to listen. So they just tend to surround themselves with people who tell them what they want to hear and sometimes friends you’ve known for a while can become yes-men or they become distant because of the toxic way they have taking criticism and whenever the toxic person starts falling off he tends to blame the people not being there for him even tho he wasn’t willing to listen. The whole fake friend/real friend is just messy in general sometimes you’ll have people who say these people are fake cuz idk they’ve become distant or something but the people who became distant did that cuz of something he did or maybe he started becoming toxic. Or it’s just one of those “friends come and go” type of things like maybe one of you or both of you started changing in the way you think, see things and changing as people that you guys kinda grew more distant or it’s there fault that they haven’t been talking much or the other persons or it’s both or there faults. That’s why try not to take sides (TRY not to) cuz sometimes it’s more then just black and white and it’s also the reason why I don’t like the term “fake friend” not because I think there’s no fake people but because I feel like it’s used so loosely to just call people fake even tho the situation can be a lot more complicated then that. Oh yeah and there’s also being to trustworthy like some people don’t really try to look at who’s just an acquaintance in your life and whose an actual friend so they just end up being to generous. Idk if I made any sense through out this rant but oh well.
Yep. I especially agree to the fact a lot of times it IS the rappers fault no one tells them the truth. I am a sound board engineer and I see rappers freak out at their friends or turn into massive dicks because they cant take even positive criticism
Logic needs to take a year or two off because it's obvious that he's ran out of material to use. Homie needs to stay home and play Mario Maker 2...that's just for the best if you ask me.
I BlitzTM or he should just make 2-3 years worth of Music then have the Best 12 songs made into an album instead of releasens an album every 2 months. Its up to him though, but what he is doing at the moment is really Selling out.
I BlitzTM i mean thats what most good artist does. You dont see kendrick, Jay z, nas, j Cole, earl sweatshirt, joeybadass, ab soul, Danny Brown, a tribe called quest or anyone like that drop an album every half a year.
That could work but it also can be dangerous for him to take that break ... Yeah That idea might work BUT it HAS to work for his audience to “Logic back with that 🔥” instead of “Gone for 2 years and still on some bullshit” ... oor just rather loose all that Attention he has now ... Ye said it best “Don’t leave while you hot that’s how Mase screwed Up” ... and plus it might also be dangerous for him cause the audience could just throw him to the side ...maybe logic doesn’t have the “Juice” like some of these artist have .. like Kendrick ... Cole .. Drake ... Hov ... Ye ... Cudi ... Weeknd who could be MIA & drop some and STILL have that attention you know?
Paul Vasquez i agree with you and your points are actually pretty good, also in 2-3 years time many of his fans have probably found out that there are better rappers than him out there, they would probaly be back to check a new album out i Think.
It cause he’s working too much and touring can be overwhelming for some people. It also could be because he used to eat a bunch of junk food to gain weight which can make you look older
This is not just rap advice, it's life advice. This guy deserves more credit. I'm 25 I barley know any of these rappers and I still watch because the content is so good and the delivery is on point! 🙌🙌🙌
This is exactly the reason why I keep my circle close. Everyone seems to think having alot of homies makes you unstoppable but its actually the opposite cause the more you got, the more of them will stab you in the back and take whats yours once your successful. KEEP YOUR FRIENDS TIGHT AND YOUR MIND LOOSE.
@@zapata5756 how about talented rappers whose lives were cut short just before they could break into the mainstream, or rappers that abused drugs and never return to their original state. Logic is declining because he wants to, it's a conscious choice not to put in any effort
Theres something wrong with this statement shouldn't your music bring in your fan base? How tf do or why tf do you build a fanbase before hand for no reason? It's not like you know your going to be hot? WHAAAATTT?
No as a artist it’s actually bad to blow up right away tbh, the reason is because you haven’t developed, you haven’t learned music, your style or what your fans really rock with you for. For example think of basketball your playing with Lebrun your crack him once because you got lucky you think your gonna have the skill to replicate the juke. It’s the same thing with music if a artist doesn’t have work ethic to develop his skill that hit (aka juke) will become a fluke It’s the same with games you ever killed that one good player in the lobby and couldn’t do it again these are flukes you were never really good you just made a few good plays but you never really developed your skill
This is why it’s extremely significant to 1.) Only make music that represents your vision...if you’re a lyricist don’t make Panda Bc they’ll expect that every time. 2.) Make sure your marketing scheme is suitable to follow up on any record, and make sure you stick to a formula. 3.) Surround yourself with productable people, that are around you Bc they want to be. Getting a diamond album is cool but getting 10 platinum albums across 10 years is far more impressive 💯
The Absurdist Well not so much the formula of making the same content but formula on when to put out music and picking the singles that will stick. But I get what you’re saying & agreed.
You literally always have a real point of view and stay so unbiased. It shows you put in the research before making anything on any rapper which is so great. Keep it up bro!
When you're so depressed you don't even have the motivation to watch the video so you just like and move on Edit: Thank you guys a lot, honestly I didn't really expect this to get any attention at all, I'm not really used to people caring about me so I framed this as a joke hoping everyone else would see it that way as well. But instead I got so many positive replies thank you so much. And no, this wasn't just to get attention or anything, like I said I didn't even expect anyone to care. Tl:dr I love this community
You a legend bruh. Real as the soul in my body. Real as the Infinite consciousness we are projecting. Keep spreading the love and deeper insights. Adonai
I feel you on that one. Can't be dealin with yes men, they just confuse the situation. If I'm asking for feedback, it needs to be truthful - so I can know how I need to progress as an artist. I don't need people who are scared of hurting my feelings so just tell me everything's great all the time. I ain't gonna be mad if they're truthful.. Chances are, I was thinking the same thing and just wanted to check if they spotted it too. Keep it real frfr
I really hope Logic learned something from the talk you guys probably had when you met eachother. You’re a straight up honest dude so hopefully you gave him some straight up constructive criticism about how (lets be honest here) he fell off. I still love Logic, but I just hate how the music has been getting worse and worse. It’s like in a horror movie when you’re screaming at the person to not walk through that door, and they still do. You know the potential of an artist, but you see it dying in front of your very eyes. I really do hope that something is different in Logic with this upcoming album, No Pressure, because whatever stage he has been in recently just is not the logic we all fell in love with. And notice that I’m not saying Bobby, because say what I will about the music, the person behind it is still a great dude.
Realest video ever man everybody afraid to talk about this topic but blacky! Love the content you killing it with the uploads giving us quantity and quality!
It’s cause I’m artist and everyday after work I have a class about the industry with blacky , bro don’t stop you gone help get to the top without a scratch !
Can we talk about how good of a job Blacky explains this stuff and warns us about things? He explains why it’s “dangerous” to be a Stan, or even what can be taken as tips for coming up Rappers.
Logic can make music 10x better made for any environment yet he chooses to continuously put less and less effort into his music and it’s extremely noticeable
That bullshit ain’t even good enough for a strip club let alone being bumped in a car. This is how I know you Logic fans never go out and are most likely virgins. You can’t even tell what a legit club song done well sounds like.
Your best video of the year! I related on a spiritual level. I have been keen on stayin way from flakes in the past, but the past year has been a struggle realizing that some niggaz i thought was ttd ended up bein a front on my honesty. Be careful who you trust, who always by your side.
This is wild, seriously I never thought about this issue. Honestly it must be awful being that big and not knowing who to trust. Reminds me a lot of the most recent teccq video where you showed the livestream. He said basically that people start “fucking with you for different reasons”. Seriously eye opening, BlackySpeakz.
Just make a wack song on purpose..seriously wack ask them "homies" how they feel about it and all the 1's saying it's dope and u know the song is trash ..give those yes men the boot cause they not telling the truth..but hey thats what i would do
First time hearing the man speak. Definitely not the last time. Real coherent and intelligent but in some ways obvious if we just took a minute to reflect in an honest way without others getting in your head
This is completely true. If you watch some of his videos on Bobby’s world, you can tell logic is surrounded by 100% positivity which is why he can’t take criticism anymore. And I feel like 6ix is a yes-man but I’m not sure because I don’t see him criticize logic on camera.
no lie, i been trying to be a rapper with my friends for a few years now, and i think your videos are enlightening and a good reality check. i still wanna rap and make hip hop , and i feel like you gave me more motivation lol. please stay real
I 100% appreciate content that you produce I'm a rapper myself and it's good that I'm able keep learning and keep growing so I can have a long-lasting and genuine career
Do what Wiz did literally come up with your childhood friends and start a label with them, one of the many reasons why he’s managed to stay relevant and not fall off
Man. Speaking beyond facts!. As a music producer. I have to pick and choose my battles. It's not easy explaining to a rapper that there lyrics are kinda garbage or the flow isn't right. And if I'm completely honest they will give a 100 reasons why there shit is good. And noone raps better than them. Lose lose situation
"They Say I got too many styles, B*tch I've been diverse" - Logic - Common Logic I'd have to agree and disagree with some points you made here, as much as I am a deep fan of Logic's more lyrical approach (Under Pressure, Welcome To Forever etc) he has always mentioned in his music and interviews that it always doesn't always have to be the same approach in regards to creating songs, It seems people tend to forget that Logic STILL has the ability to go back to his lyrical if he wanted to, or if he wants, create another "commercial" styled track, this is a quality that I respect about him.

@@yokwankak5880 I know.
trime i see a blacky notification all i can hear is “now...”
JPJ JXP I won the rights to that word now
And *PANDA EFFECT*
Goddamn I remember when you weren’t even 100k and talking about your race. Congrats on 600k blacky you deserve what you put in
When you're so depressed you don't even have the motivation to watch the video so you just like and move on
Edit: Thank you guys a lot, honestly I didn't really expect this to get any attention at all, I'm not really used to people caring about me so I framed this as a joke hoping everyone else would see it that way as well. But instead I got so many positive replies thank you so much. And no, this wasn't just to get attention or anything, like I said I didn't even expect anyone to care.
Tl:dr I love this community
Hang in there bro
Stay strong 💪😎🌈
dw man you’ll get through it
Just need some perspective bro. You can get through whatever you're going through, just gotta stay strong.
Nudah Not Verified damn man, appreciate you checking this one out though G. But fr take care of yourself
You a legend bruh. Real as the soul in my body. Real as the Infinite consciousness we are projecting.
Keep spreading the love and deeper insights. Adonai
So soothing to listen to this guy
I feel you on that one.
Can't be dealin with yes men,
they just confuse the situation.
If I'm asking for feedback,
it needs to be truthful -
so I can know how I need to
progress as an artist.
I don't need people who are scared of hurting my feelings so just tell me everything's great all the time.
I ain't gonna be mad if they're truthful..
Chances are, I was thinking the same thing and just wanted to check if they spotted it too.
Keep it real frfr
"This is HARD BRO!! This is HARD BRO!! when in reality....This is WEAK BRO!!!!" LMAO #FACTUALS
Lots of people say they want u to be honest wit them & then they get mad when it's not what they wanna hear.
“Real Friends. How many of us? How many of us? Real friends.”
Thank you Blacky, for bringing light to something not many people talk about and is an issue for some rappers.
Nobody:
Homies when you popping: gang gang gang
Homies when you falling off: gone gone gone
BlackySpeakz is a true prophet. His words carry the truth and weight if the realest of facts
Agree 100%
This makes me thankful i have friends who are brutally honest with my work, helps me create the music i want everyone to hear...
I love how you’re using NF more and more in your videos😍
Same dude Nf is the best
Realest video ever man everybody afraid to talk about this topic but blacky! Love the content you killing it with the uploads giving us quantity and quality!
"All those people that were screaming gang gang gang, will be gone gone gone" 😂☠️
Green Lights so underrated. Also thanks so much for dropping the knowledge Blacky. It's always appreciated.
Cam Newton falls off.
Blacky: Let's talk about the pantha affect.
pantha?
v4i
He’s played for the Carolina panthers his whole career
@@scooterwearssocks ohh I've never heard of that 😂😂 my bad
It’s amazing how much you can learn from the hip hop culture, that’s why I love it. This is real shit.
*2020 Is going to be very interesting, to see who pop off early Spring and who falls off by Winter 2020.*
It’s cause I’m artist and everyday after work I have a class about the industry with blacky , bro don’t stop you gone help get to the top without a scratch !
You need criticism, it is vital to your growth as an artist.
Can we talk about how good of a job Blacky explains this stuff and warns us about things? He explains why it’s “dangerous” to be a Stan, or even what can be taken as tips for coming up Rappers.
Honestly Sheck Wes's debut album Mudboy is actually a pretty fun record, wish more people gave him a chance
Blacky you're the hero UA-cam needs and definitely deserves.
Logic : Has fun on a song made for a strip club
Everyone else : Logic fell off
Stop
Logic can make music 10x better made for any environment yet he chooses to continuously put less and less effort into his music and it’s extremely noticeable
That bullshit ain’t even good enough for a strip club let alone being bumped in a car. This is how I know you Logic fans never go out and are most likely virgins. You can’t even tell what a legit club song done well sounds like.
what makes this funny is the logic clips like your directly only speaking about him lmfao I fw this channel
Blacky: uses NF in his videos
Me:😍😍
Your best video of the year! I related on a spiritual level. I have been keen on stayin way from flakes in the past, but the past year has been a struggle realizing that some niggaz i thought was ttd ended up bein a front on my honesty. Be careful who you trust, who always by your side.
When I see a blackyspeakz's video I click simple!
Just make a wack song on purpose..seriously wack ask them "homies" how they feel about it and all the 1's saying it's dope and u know the song is trash ..give those yes men the boot cause they not telling the truth..but hey thats what i would do
I love you blackyspeakz I watch you every day
This taught me a good life lesson thx Blackey.
First time hearing the man speak. Definitely not the last time. Real coherent and intelligent but in some ways obvious if we just took a minute to reflect in an honest way without others getting in your head
Y’all remember Ace Hood? 😂😂😂
Listen to his last tape, Ace has dropped solid music.
Bugatti
who?
This is completely true. If you watch some of his videos on Bobby’s world, you can tell logic is surrounded by 100% positivity which is why he can’t take criticism anymore. And I feel like 6ix is a yes-man but I’m not sure because I don’t see him criticize logic on camera.
imagine having friends just to have them.
LITERALLY ONE OF THE REALEST & MOST UNDERRATED INTERVIEWS YOU HAVE EVER DONE !! 🔥🔥
Yes-men are the new school hype men from back in the day..
no lie, i been trying to be a rapper with my friends for a few years now, and i think your videos are enlightening and a good reality check. i still wanna rap and make hip hop , and i feel like you gave me more motivation lol. please stay real
I Swear Blacky always keep it so real 💪🏾✍🏾
I 100% appreciate content that you produce I'm a rapper myself and it's good that I'm able keep learning and keep growing so I can have a long-lasting and genuine career

Blackyspeakz : the panda effect
Great video again man. This is definitely a perspective that should be addressed more. Glad we have someone like you to keep it real
Og maco deserve his spot after having to deal with his health issues
Do what Wiz did literally come up with your childhood friends and start a label with them, one of the many reasons why he’s managed to stay relevant and not fall off

watch a lil xans interview? I guess I'll just take your word for it
I use to hate on blacky 😔 prolly cuz I wasn’t happy with my life, but to be honest, listening to blacky is so soothing and refreshing.
👊🏼👍🏼
Bryant all good bro 🙏🏾
Lowkey thought this was gonna be the “Logic effect”
Blackyspeakz is very underrated!
Plot twist: Maybe yes-men really thinks it sounds good lol

Blacky: *the Gucci Gang effect*
Best music news, and best music advice Blacky
even with the "yes-men" getting in the way, do u think rappers can redeem themselves despite it?
yeah by realizing they were fake and starting fresh and regaining wha got you to where you were before you met yes men

"They Say I got too many styles, B*tch I've been diverse" - Logic - Common Logic
I'd have to agree and disagree with some points you made here, as much as I am a deep fan of Logic's more lyrical approach (Under Pressure, Welcome To Forever etc) he has always mentioned in his music and interviews that it always doesn't always have to be the same approach in regards to creating songs,
It seems people tend to forget that Logic STILL has the ability to go back to his lyrical if he wanted to, or if he wants, create another "commercial" styled track, this is a quality that I respect about him.
