    Houston; we got van! Yooohooo 🎉🎉
    So now we know about the big news from last episode. Very glad to see you making the move towards the custom van build. Can’t wait to see the progress in the coming months and I am sure Diesel will be like: guys make sure to me my separate dogo room in this gigantic home on wheels 😅.
    Take it slow folks and all the best for the build process…cheers!

    I did like 300 visits to Home Depot Courtenay, plus daily Amazon deliveries, over the 16 months it took me to build out my ford transit. Just watching this video gave me flashbacks to some very difficult times, but 2yrs later I have not regretted the decision to go full time (not even once). Great job you two

      That's awesome! We did it originally in an SUV so even with a minimal van build it still feels like a mansion to us haha!

    Congrats on the new rig!!! I love the continuing " right tool for the right job" theme you've got going with these video's, a square for a pry bar, and the spoon!! Bahaha. That was funny!! Looking forward to the whole project. And one more thing, was that an Uncle Colin siting at the end?

    I bought a 2000 Chevy Express passenger van couple years back. I removed the two middle seats and left the back one because it lowers into a bed. I built a plywood top frame for the area between the bed and the rear doors so we could lay long ways in the van with a foam mattress. We kept it real simple so we could do a lot of things with the van. we can remove the mattress and raise it back up for seating on a trip with some family. there's a portapottie. 200 Watts of solar on top. Three Vanguard van ladder racks. and two roof storage baskets bolted to the rack up high so I could mount two conduit tubes beneath the rack for camper gear like hoses and drop cords. the other one I put in fishing rods and more. I can hook up power to the van with a drop cord when we are near a power supply and recharge or use it over night. I have a front and rear tow hitch that lets me carry a cargo carrier onthe front with bicycles or a cooler. I have another folding basket cargo rack on the rear for chairs, smaller generator, water can and fuel can for generator if we not pulling a boat. I mounted 3 cameras on the front top of the windshiled so at night when we close up and can see rear, or either side of the van outside. (security) I also keep a large plano box up top with scissor jack shovel, axe etc. and two tire boards for getting stuck. I use commercial window tint.. the dotted stuff that goes on the outside for privacy.. you can see out but it's it's really difficult to see in at night even with lights on. we like it. facebook.com/photo/?fbid=6480363775329163&set=pcb.6480370101995197

      @@wayoftheroads yep. The only thing I'd change about what we did was perhaps go ahead and pull out the bench/bed and frame it up hard and higher for more storage beneath. But then my tilt and pivot TV stand mounted inside roof at the rear wouldn't be high enough off the bed. LOL for those stormy rainy days we out.

      @@wayoftheroads yes super easy to work with, its like an adult lego set. One of my income streams is corporate staging, we build out a lot of convention set pieces using the stuff. • @wayoftheroads
      @wayoftheroads  7 місяців тому

      The van was fully gutted when we bought it. Just some spray foam on the walls. Pretty sure if you got the stock passenger van then you would have to remove them.
