Man I used to download all of these races. When they added supermoto the summer X-Games that gave me a reason to watch them. Just shows how quickly Travis could adapt to any discipline. He's beating legit euro and American supermoto racers here.
Travis chain snapped when he wheel tapped the jump. I remember being so pumped he was in with a shout to win. Gutting I would have loved to see him do more.
I remember my dad buying a 2004 Crf 450 brand new and dropping some talons in it a Leo Vince and some nice yokes etc. That bike was bulletproof and it turned more heads than any poser bike, went like stink!
Ohh god, I remember Roger De Coster, so pissed at Travis for riding a stupid gig with the Crusty crew. Breaking his wrist. " Can you ride ? " Travis " Yeah watch me" downs some pain killers.. Rides the Des Nations. The kid had some spirit, Taking on the 500's on a 125 cc. Getting stoned to hell..
Travis was going to win. Thats what travis does. Or crash. If he had more sulermoto seat time he would of known to hit the back break on that jump. He pushed down trying to land the back wheel asap but smacked the landing. Travis is still GOAT But dont ever forget about Jeff Ward, dude is a old school beat! Still getting that W.
Not true. He should never hit the back brake in that position that causes it to nose dive anyway. Which is why he didn’t hit the back brake. Travis knee exactly what he was doing. It was a bike failure.
Jeff Ward ?? Wasn't he one of those riders who dropped or stalled their bikes on purpose at the 1985 LA Coliseum super cross qualifiers in order to get a front row starting position ? Yes... I remember that . I think Ricky Johnson put it best when he referred to all that sandbagged as " CHICKENS " . ua-cam.com/video/Tqp4W6v-kdI/v-deo.html In fact Ward was so chicken he hid up behind the peristyles until 2 other riders passed by him so he could get his front row position. SHAMEFUL ! Here's the race ua-cam.com/video/5LMz9CYYd2w/v-deo.html And now Ward runs to a sport where he doesn't have any real competition. Yeah , sure ….
Yeah that's bunk. My dad was never a Ward fan and I can see why now. He was a David Bailey, O'Mara and McGrath fan from those old school mx/sx days. TP has built an empire and looks to be a super happy and successful dude.
@@Peanutdenver With the terrible crashes TP has had , I just hope he gets out of the sport before he ends up like David Baily or Magoo ….. and so many others
@@ethics3 I hear ya.Those guys are some of the huge cornerstones to the sport too. You know I've already broken several vertebra in my back, broken pelvis, left femur and collar bone a few times, tore my acl/mcl. This sport eats you up. But I just could never imagine my life without some moto in it. Maybe when I get a little older I'll have to move to trail riding. Remember Jesse Nelson was paralyzed in an outdoor race a few years back and that was heart breaking. Running the risk of paralysis is just about the biggest price to pay injury wise in mx/sx and it unfortunately happens in our sport.

And Rick Johnson won or came close wearing pink riding gear.
"What can't Travis do?"
Obviously supermoto. 🤣
Nah, he can supermoto as well as he can motocross. What he can't do is avoid regular crashes. Like Stewart.
