War Thunder doesn't take place in our timeline, in our world it's an alternative world and it should stay that way. There's nothing controversial about Ukrainian vehicles. There are vehicles already in War Thunder from countries that doesn't exist like South Vietnam, Nazi Germany, Soviet Union, Kingdom of Italy. Why would Ukrainian vehicles in the US tech tree as a sub nation would he different? Frankly I would enjoy some soviet and german stuff in the US tech tree as well as a new M1A1 SEP maybe strikers with additional armoured, T series tanks, BTR-4 and even Ukrainian planes like SU-27, Mig-29, F-16 UA WITHOUT ANY POLITICAL SHIT. the problem seems to me is that the pro ukrainians start crying when they add UKRAINIAN vehicles to soviet tree...hell the T-34 was also designed in kharkov and ukraine is a post soviet country, might as well add post 91 ukr tanks to USSR, only downside is that ussr tree is already the biggest.

The T-90M existed prior to and was widely known before the Ukraine War many interesting Ukrainian vehicles that would make good additions only became as widely known because of their use in the war which brings up the issue of where to add them because people are already easily upset and pissed at leopard’s being in France and the whole issue of the ASEAN thing going to china and Japan only getting Thailand instead of a 50/50 split or just give all of ASEAN to JP and stick with things like Pakistan and other countries that have similar relations to china, obviously the answer is not Russia because of the current conflict and it’s sensitive nature and while yes the option of the Eastern Europe tech tree combining east european countries but a countries become more and more involved in the conflict that window of where they can add it without upsetting people gets smaller and smaller meaning if gajin decides there may well be a possibility we never see these vehicles in game due to political and topic sensitivity
WT could add the Eastern European Countries Tech Tree, Mainly Czechoslovakia and Poland + other countries as bonus vehicles / premiums and event vehicles.

Gaijin can just do a Intermarium coalition tree with the Baltics, Czechs, Slovaks, Poles, & Ukrainians in it. Then I can also be a full tree with the various interwar, WW2 prototypes and specialized versions of Cold War vehicles, like the T-54s with full stabilizers and applica armor.

The T-84s turret was not developed by Ukraine after the breakup of the Soviet Union, but rather during soviet times by NII Stali like all other welded turrets seen on MBTs based on the soviet design that are not chinese. That is why it is extremely similar in shape to the turrets found on Object 187 and T-90A/S/MS/M

While Gaijin proper might be apolitical, the developers of the game are biased towards Russia even ignoring the fact the developers are based in Russia. No this is not "le russian bias making me die!!!", I do not believe there is "Russian Bias" in the game. I'm talking about politically. They are obviously Pro-Russian. If the conflict in Ukraine was such an issue, the T-90M would not have been added. I also think its telling that the first Belarusian vehicle added to the game, the SU-25BM, was added as a Kazakhstani vehicle rather then a Belarusian one despite it being made in Belarus. There is a sentiment among Russians and some Belarusians that Belarus should be a part of Russia and that Belarusians are not a real people, much like the current sentiment towards Ukrainians.

While Taiwan and the PRC are at political odds they aren't shooting at each other. That and Taiwan has it's modern political roots in China. Ukraine literally cannot be added to USSR tech tree now more than ever due to Russia’s unwarranted aggression against Ukraine, it will backfire heavily against Gaijin if they do add Ukr to USSR, probably worse things than the review bomb will happen. How exactly is it fair to add modern Russian Equipment (so the aggressor gets attention) but leave out Ukrainian tanks? Same goes to Israel. All of those vehicles kill humans every day in 2024 but still can be played. Also, Gaijin do nothing against the „Z“ in their game but come along with those lazy excuses.
Honestly they could have made a Warsaw pact-eastern block nation with all the post Soviet satellites in it and it would be rather well fleshed out with a good mix of old Soviet stuff, domestic redesigns and NATO equipment

Ukrainian here. Im surprised that nobody mentioned it, but maybe the game is not ready for Oplot yet. If the protection is implemented like it was actually IRL, then it would be the most protected tank in the game. The duplet ERA has twice the protection against the kinetic threats compared to Relict and obviously no atgm can go through it, and it covers the whole side of the tank. Even without Zaslon APS it would be really hard to kill in some cases
They should add a "nation" that is comprised of various other nations that has made their own domestic vehicles but not enough to be a fully fledged nation on its own. This can provide a player with a unique grinding experience as they play vehicles that are lesser known. When playing realistic battles they can be the sort of "wild card" nation as they can bring anything from Ukraine's T-84 MBT to India's Arjun MBT. From a business perspective this can be very lucrative as there are plenty of vehicles that can be sold as premiums.
I will say these models are very well made, And these vehicles would look very good in war thunder I will say, now it is a shame that this war in Ukraine is happening and it is a shame that a lot of people have sadly lost their lives and lost loved ones, now to gaijin's credit, they have stayed out of this conflict, which is good but it is still a shame that there are some people in War Thunder that still run around with Z's on their Russian tanks and spouting Russian propaganda, which unfortunately I have actually come across a fair few times, but needless to say I don't have sympathy for those people that do that shit.

An Eastern European tech tree would be quite awesome actually. Poland, Czhech Republic, former Yugoslavia has some nice unique planes and jets. Ukraine could easily slot into that tech tree and avoid the political problem.

Bruh, they are just vehicles, people need to grow some skin. Literally the hardest part is where would the vehicles go. The Oplot could probably go in the Russian tech tree, as a free, higher BR, and better T-80 UD. Same with the BTR-4. The ERC can go in France. With the Yatagan being added to either Germany or America, probably Germany considering how much western equipment they make.
T-72s, and 90s are in ukraine yet they keep adding them to the game. We shouldn't miss out on cool shit like this because the Putin stans can't handle it. It's a video game, it's supposed to be fun. I think there should be a minor nations subtree (similar to what WoT has) for any nations that don't go to fill the ranks of the main nations.
The reality is that none of these models are realistic. The terrain vehicles can climb, the physics of small caliber munitions penetrating tanks is grossly unrealistic, the forward/rear ward movement is unrealistic. Tanks move slower, cannot climb almost vertical rocks moving back and forth like a racecar.
the only vehicle that would never be added in my eye is BM Oplot with what, 3 dart-eating ERA? ridiculous BTR-4? that thing will get added (at least equivalent) while ERC 90 is just Gaijin's hatred toward France but it's possible
To me the only option is under USSR tree. It might be controversial, however, Russia in game is USSR. During USSR, Ukraine was part of it. Its entire military vehicles depo was russian. It is the objectively correct place. Anyone denying it says that 70+ years of brotherhood can be nullified by a 3 year war, in which case a lot of vehicles should be removed from the game for the same reasons.

They can't do that. There isn't a Russian tech tree. There is a USSR tech tree which Ukraine should also fall under. A Ukranian tech tree would make no sense and wouldn't have any vehicles prior to what they had starting from 1991.

Ukrainian Merkava/Obj.488 would be interesting MBT for Ukraine. Imagine T-64/T-80 turret mounted on new model of chassis based on T-64 that look like Merkava with engine in the front and the back have space for infantry.
The tech-tree is called USSR, not Russia. All USSR equipment and former USSR nations belong in the USSR tech tree. This includes Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Khazsakstain. I really dont think that people will care that much. There will probably be a bit of backlash for a couple weeks, a few people my quit the game. But after a couple month's no one will care anymore.
The Ukrainian T-84 can be added to the Thailand tree if Gaijin were to implement the ASEAN tree. SEA countries, just like Ukraine, understandably does not want to have their tanks in the same country/group of countries that is aggressor to them.

We can have a Sepperet Ukraine Tech tree. From ww2 which is a mix from Finish, Russian and German Vehicles until to the Top to the Oplot. In the (Cold War times, yeah it's critical to usw tanks maybe but aircraft the Same with Bf, Yaks and Migs and even the Tu as I know. Or they will add them to the Soviet tech tree as a Sub tree and as you said. Maybe put the tanks apart into the trees they are built with the Nation.
Maybe this may not be the same but still political, a lot of the early South African vehicles in the British tech tree were produced during Apartheid but adding them were never a problem(as far as i know), for those who don't know Apartheid was were the South African government separated people based on their race, yes Apartheid ended a long time ago but hopefully when the Russia Ukraine war ends surely they can add all these vehicles and more?? (correct me if I'm wrong.)
They should be in the Soviet tech tree. For example the Chinese tech tree has both a PRC and ROC line (although they mixed them recently instead of adding the Taiwan abrams) it’s not a political statement to add real lineage of vehicles into a game
They really need to separate politics from the game otherwise we can just delete the game altogether. Every single nation represented in the game as a primary nation is guilty of questionably immoral actions in wartime. We can't pick and choose which is acceptable and which not but we can say let's keep that out of the game.

WT could add the Eastern European Countries Tech Tree, Mainly Czechoslovakia and Poland + other countries as bonus vehicles / premiums and event vehicles.

Gaijin can just do a Intermarium coalition tree with the Baltics, Czechs, Slovaks, Poles, & Ukrainians in it. Then I can also be a full tree with the various interwar, WW2 prototypes and specialized versions of Cold War vehicles, like the T-54s with full stabilizers and applica armor.
Issue is, there still isn't enough there for a full tree and they would all be copy and paste from other trees.

The T-84s turret was not developed by Ukraine after the breakup of the Soviet Union, but rather during soviet times by NII Stali like all other welded turrets seen on MBTs based on the soviet design that are not chinese. I also think its telling that the first Belarusian vehicle added to the game, the SU-25BM, was added as a Kazakhstani vehicle rather then a Belarusian one despite it being made in Belarus. There is a sentiment among Russians and some Belarusians that Belarus should be a part of Russia and that Belarusians are not a real people, much like the current sentiment towards Ukrainians.

Ukrainian here. Im surprised that nobody mentioned it, but maybe the game is not ready for Oplot yet. If the protection is implemented like it was actually IRL, then it would be the most protected tank in the game. The duplet ERA has twice the protection against the kinetic threats compared to Relict and obviously no atgm can go through it, and it covers the whole side of the tank. Even without Zaslon APS it would be really hard to kill in some cases

They should add a "nation" that is comprised of various other nations that has made their own domestic vehicles but not enough to be a fully fledged nation on its own. This can provide a player with a unique grinding experience as they play vehicles that are lesser known. When playing realistic battles they can be the sort of "wild card" nation as they can bring anything from Ukraine's T-84 MBT to India's Arjun MBT. From a business perspective this can be very lucrative as there are plenty of vehicles that can be sold as premiums.
I will say these models are very well made, And these vehicles would look very good in war thunder I will say, now it is a shame that this war in Ukraine is happening and it is a shame that a lot of people have sadly lost their lives and lost loved ones, now to gaijin's credit, they have stayed out of this conflict, which is good but it is still a shame that there are some people in War Thunder that still run around with Z's on their Russian tanks and spouting Russian propaganda, which unfortunately I have actually come across a fair few times, but needless to say I don't have sympathy for those people that do that shit.

An Eastern European tech tree would be quite awesome actually. Poland, Czhech Republic, former Yugoslavia has some nice unique planes and jets. Ukraine could easily slot into that tech tree and avoid the political problem.

Bruh, they are just vehicles, people need to grow some skin. Literally the hardest part is where would the vehicles go. The Oplot could probably go in the Russian tech tree, as a free, higher BR, and better T-80 UD. Same with the BTR-4. The ERC can go in France. With the Yatagan being added to either Germany or America, probably Germany considering how much western equipment they make.
T-72s, and 90s are in ukraine yet they keep adding them to the game. We shouldn't miss out on cool shit like this because the Putin stans can't handle it. It's a video game, it's supposed to be fun. I think there should be a minor nations subtree (similar to what WoT has) for any nations that don't go to fill the ranks of the main nations.

The reality is that none of these models are realistic. The terrain vehicles can climb, the physics of small caliber munitions penetrating tanks is grossly unrealistic, the forward/rear ward movement is unrealistic. Tanks move slower, cannot climb almost vertical rocks moving back and forth like a racecar.

To me the only option is under USSR tree. It might be controversial, however, Russia in game is USSR. During USSR, Ukraine was part of it. Its entire military vehicles depo was russian. It is the objectively correct place. I think the problem is actually simpler than "brotherhood". Russia has the single largest tech tree in the entire game; they don't need an additional subtree. None of the big three needs it, I'd argue

Honesrly the Ukraine tech tree really don’t add too much that we dont already have (or have another version of). Sure the tanks are unique but they are still built off a design that Russia or another country uses or has used. It would be cool but i don’t think it add all that much.

They can't do that. There isn't a Russian tech tree. There is a USSR tech tree which Ukraine should also fall under. A Ukranian tech tree would make no sense and wouldn't have any vehicles prior to what they had starting from 1991.

Obviously those russian devs(sitting in Hungary pretending to be not russian) wont add any ukrainian vehicles. BTR-4 is a beast. It's several videos of it from real life combat against infantry and tanks.
Ukrainian Merkava/Obj.488 would be interesting MBT for Ukraine. Imagine T-64/T-80 turret mounted on new model of chassis based on T-64 that look like Merkava with engine in the front and the back have space for infantry.

The tech-tree is called USSR, not Russia. All USSR equipment and former USSR nations belong in the USSR tech tree. This includes Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Khazsakstain.
I really dont think that people will care that much. There will probably be a bit of backlash for a couple weeks, a few people my quit the game. But after a couple month's no one will care anymore.
The Ukrainian T-84 can be added to the Thailand tree if Gaijin were to implement the ASEAN tree.
SEA countries, just like Ukraine, understandably does not want to have their tanks in the same country/group of countries that is aggressor to them.
When one side, Russia gets to inject as many tanks as they want into the game and the other can't that's straight up clear bias.

We can have a Sepperet Ukraine Tech tree. From ww2 which is a mix from Finish, Russian and German Vehicles until to the Top to the Oplot. In the (Cold War times, yeah it's critical to usw tanks maybe but aircraft the Same with Bf, Yaks and Migs and even the Tu as I know.
Or they will add them to the Soviet tech tree as a Sub tree and as you said. Maybe put the tanks apart into the trees they are built with the Nation.
Maybe this may not be the same but still political, a lot of the early South African vehicles in the British tech tree were produced during Apartheid but adding them were never a problem(as far as i know), for those who don't know Apartheid was were the South African government separated people based on their race, yes Apartheid ended a long time ago but hopefully when the Russia Ukraine war ends surely they can add all these vehicles and more?? (correct me if I'm wrong.)

They should be in the Soviet tech tree. For example the Chinese tech tree has both a PRC and ROC line (although they mixed them recently instead of adding the Taiwan abrams) it’s not a political statement to add real lineage of vehicles into a game
They really need to separate politics from the game otherwise we can just delete the game altogether. Every single nation represented in the game as a primary nation is guilty of questionably immoral actions in wartime. We can't pick and choose which is acceptable and which not but we can say let's keep that out of the game.
