One of the main things I’ve always loved about Final Fight were the stage bosses. They’re some of the best in any beat em up game. All of them have a sense of character from their name all the way through their character design. A typical street punk with limited offense (Damnd), A Samurai with a nasty charging move that’s almost unblockable with a fetish sounding name (Sodom), a big burly street cop on the take and can eat through your health when he shoots his gun from across the screen (Edi.E), a mad army general on the take who likes to jump around and throw grenades at you (Rolento), a jacked wrestler looking dude with face paint and a feminine name (Abigail) and last but not least, the evil businessman and mad gear gang leader in a wheelchair with that annoying arrow gun (Belger). Now that’s how you design stage bosses and very few games measure up to the ones in the final fight💯
Bro your 💯% spot on with your detailing of the bosses. Can't nobody tell you that you weren't a fan of this game lol. But real talk the game was ahead of it's time.

Fact: Final Fight was planned to be Street Fighter 2 or Street Fighter '89 after Street Fighter first debut in 1987. But they cancel the plan for unknown reason and make the Final Fight as it own game series. In Street Fighter Alpha 3, two of the Final Fight character, Guy and Cody, makes his first debut in SF Alpha 3. Each of their Character Story and Outfit in SF Alpha 3 was small detail after Final Fight: Revenge.
You're right Robert. Sodom is a German thrash band if I'm not mistaken. Capcom really loved their rock and metal music back then. Shame they seem to have declined into terrible EDM and hip hop remixes of their songs.

Cody kicks all kinds of ass. I think SNES gave him the shaft in Final Fight 2 and 3 because Axl copied his look in Streets of Rage and Streets of Rage 2. It's bullshit because Cody represents the American Street Fighter in this game (originally named Street Fighter), Guy (who got shafted in 1 and 2) is the martial artist and Haggar is the wrestler.
I was born in 1987 in Soviet Union (after collapse of 1991 - Riga, Latvia) In our city area we had an old soviet amusement park and a small arcade machine place adjacent. It had about 15 arcade machines and Final Fight was among them. When I had some pocket money, I chose not to spend it on school snacks, went to play it instead. Amusement park was ir rapid decay, owners had no money to invest to fix it, moreover, country got drawn into modernisation processes after entering free market economy. Hence, less and less people were bothered to go there, but arcade machines remained as last thing standing. I remember the empty place and nervous owner walking up and down, smoking cigarettes in despair. Can imagine how much it took him to bring arcade machines to post soviet place... The place is levelled now, new owner built skate park there

I’m grateful for videos like this just so I could know the ending. Grew up playing SNES games and could never get past the second or third stage lmao
I like this game and captain commando. They both were great beat em up games
One of my favorite arcade games ever. Simpsons arcade game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Street Fighter 2, and Mortal Kombat were the best to play in the arcade.
they dont make great games like this anymore
u ritedey remaster them or re-release them
check out "mother russia bleeds"
Gogoxcn is it actually out?
just came out this monday
IamJacksColon4 ill make a game where you spam punch
i feel so bad for the people that grew up playing arcade games including Final Fight, they probably miss these days
of course bro..sadly :(
Loved this game!!!!! Actually, had forgotten all about it, until I saw this video! Thanks for sharing!
I’m only 15 right now but I loved playing this game with my uncle on the ps2. Brings back good memories. I also loved playing it on mobile until it lost support
This was a beautiful looking game for the time it was released
Agreed for sure 👍
Excelente juego... Excelente jugador...
38:40 Jessica is coping and feeling more of Cody's punches than the boss by her reaction. It looks like Cody's punches isn't affecting him at all and is just sitting in his wheelchair laughing his ass off.
First game I ever finished it took me and a friend about $25 in quarters one drunken night at the Marriott in Huntsville.
Good times!
Oh my god!! I spent so much money on this game that one day me and my friend bought like 40 arcade coins so we could beat it it was legendary.
Axl? Slash? Poison? i think they're some awesome references there
JUEGAZO FINAL FIGH PARA MI EL MEJOR JUEGO DE MISIONES DE LOS AÑOS 90S, LIKE SI TE SIGUE GUSTANDO COMO AMI Y LO SIGUES JUGANDO EN DECADA DE LOS AÑOS 2020s y 2030s?
As a kid playing this I was like "wow how can Roxy and Poison fight and flip around like that in heels" lol. Also I always laughed when those dumbasses in the red outfits threw the molotov cocktails and ended up setting themselves on fire.
Fact:
Final Fight was planned to be Street Fighter 2 or Street Fighter '89 after Street Fighter first debut in 1987.
I played this game many times as a teen, I played as all three characters though I usually picked Haggar.
Grew up in Liverpool and we had top shop with 2 arcades side by side ,this brings back happy memories of my childhood playing these games
Got to love the homage to King Diamond with the level 5 boss Abigail that also wears King Diamond face paint.
What about Haggar (Sammy Hagar)? Also Sodom is the name of a heavy metal band.
You're right Robert. Sodom is a German thrash band if I'm not mistaken. Capcom really loved their rock and metal music back then. Shame they seem to have declined into terrible EDM and hip hop remixes of their songs.
Don't forget that enemies Andore and Andore Jr. are a homage to the 80s wrestler Andre the Giant.
David L Yeah Capcom Nailed It 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
gothamjediknight Not Really But In Streets Of Rage 2 Abadede Bears A Striking Resemblance To The Ultimate Warrior
I remember this game. I didn't play it much but I liked to see the older boys playing it. Guys 15 and above were good at this. It was one of the most popular games.
I remember playing this as a kid at the bowling alley. Awesome!!
thats crazy me and my brothers use to play this at a bowling alley as well
The good old days!, Saturdays and maybe on a Sunday, very rare though on a Sunday. Kids today have it way better for games, but they will not cherish them the way we do.
+stonebrooks 12 your right man...I miss those days
Omg PAL version is censored, int eh japanese version Jessica appear in the TV with hot and big boobs! Many young japanese people was watching her boobs in the game center!
Shout out to Mirrabooka Bowls
man o man I miss playing this video game on my super nintendo when I had back In the day's this was the game along with other games I had also
This game was well ahead of it's time..I have it on PS 3 Capcom classics.
In 89 this would of been incredible for that time.
Etsy bin chi
Oj to były czasy 😊.
1:02 - So, at first, Guy asks who Jessica is. After Cody has explained, Guy says "she is my friend too", so suddenly he can remember.
I think Guy saying "Jessica!?" meant he was just surprised
I never enjoyed any other beat up arcade game but this one.
GYXIG FOR TFVYH FINDING IHVFG FIND
Wherever there was Street Fighter II, there was usually a Final Fight right next to it. :)
If you close your eyes at 7:30 and listen to the punch SFX
It's a pretty catchy little tune!
As an African living in Zimbabwe at the time/90s .. we played this game like crazy at JUNE me video arcade.. had it on the iPhone a while back but now ios won’t let me download it ... they don’t make games like this anymore
I miss arcade games like this! Today's arcade's are overrated!😀👍🇺🇸💙
An pricy!!
I used to play the shit outta this on my gameboy advanced. Still one of the best moments when the final boss gets thrown out the window. Excellent, legendary game.
Memories af I remember when me and my sis was Lil we use to always play this on ps2 it was fun I miss the old days tbh
pretty sure this was never on ps2
david esktorp it was released as a part of a package with bunch of classic games

I'm not gonna lie I can literally smell the gaming arcade I used to go in the early 90s right when I started watching this video, what sorcery is this????
I loved this game as a kid .

Mustapha klalina rza9na hhh
dude, when i was 8 this game was so much harder
Rigo Torres took me 1.30 hrs
Took me 50 mins
Alvi King 99 Took me less than 5
@@dem8940 I beat it before the main menu screen popped up.
Oh mine!!! I didn't expect to see one of my favourite arcade games from the 90s!!! Me n my partner were really good with "one token clear all" then…never failed to attract a huge crowd of standing fans behind us each time we played!!! Lol
Should of played as my man hagger. This and streets of rage are the best.
River City ransom?
@@sanicbum3264 also by far the best part of final part is nes version, both gameplay and graffics.
@sanic bum River City Ransom is also one of the best Beat’em Ups alongside Final Fight, Streets Of Rage, and Double Dragon.
This takes me WAAYYYY back… to around 6 years ago when I used to play it on my iPhone App
Bruh I remember playing these at the laundromat lol
Spent 5 years of my childhood/teens playing this game at the arcade joints all across Ankara. Great times were had
We had this game in our carnival arcade, i got to play this every few months back then. Never could finish it, enjoyed the ending haha.
Que vicio este juego!!!! :D vivan los 90!!!!
When i was a child I've always played this game on my psp with capcom disc thank you Capcom for making my childhood fun
40:53 The ending is hauntingly beautiful
