I'm very happy to announce that time has come. After buying 20 precons since Februrary, 2 boxes, and cards by the unit, I have 90% of the cards necessary for the decks you built for us !! So happy. I'll definitely proxy the remaining few and try this out. Thank you sir ! Love your content
Ugin the ineffable seems like he would be great in this deck. Makes all your colorless artifacts cost less, can create a 2/2 every turn to sac to casualty, removal and card advantage all in one!
Roaming throne copies the trigger component of casualty and is another crazy exponential value copy target The two power skeletons like rszorlash transmogrant, bloodsoaked champion and cult conscript also make for decent fodder. It feels like I can't get enough fodder in this deck!
I ran a small budget uograde of the precon with ashad as the commander. Had one of my best starts ever. By turn 3 had a sol ring, thran dynamo, and gilded lotus out. By the end, I had copied a dalek squadron, a sonic screwdriver, lightning greaves, and a cybermen squadron. Was a very fun game. Next I'll try out a more fleshed out upgrade so thanks for the vid.
Might I suggest Imotekh the Stormlord, Tormod the Desecrator, and possibly Desecrated Tomb combined with cards like Tortured Existence and Phyrexian Reclamation to produce literal TONS of fodder? Also highly recommend Drafna Founder of Lat-Nam and Lithoform Engine as additional ways to copy your non-legendary artifact spells? Also note that Twinning Staff isn't legendary, CAN be copied with any of these, AND stacks with itself if you have more than one copy. I would also recommend cards such as Everflowing Chalice, Astral Cornucopia, and Skyclave Relic to use with Ashad's ability? Unlike copying a permanent, when you copy a spell you will copy it AS IT IS ON THE STACK. For example casting Everflowing Chalice, kicked once, with Ashad's ability would result in TWO copies (the original and the copy from Ashad's ability) of Everflowing Chalice EACH with a charge counter. As another example casting Skyclave Relic, paying the kicker cost, and copying it with Ashad would result in the original Skyclave Relic, an untapped copy of Skyclave Relic, AND FOUR tapped copies.
Mirrorworks and Replication Specialist could be great here too. A lot of mana rocks can even pay for their own triggers/copies. Drafna being able to copy AND bounce artifacts is great too. Lets you recast your best things over and over again. Master Transmuter could be worth including for the same reason.
Missy looks like a lot of fun as a morph deck but I passed up building for her bc we don't play planechase and her and I didn't see enough upside in a villainous choice with a planechase ability. Just drawing one card is definitely a good thing, but when I pick a commander I like to be able to use all their mechanics if I can.
@@gir5o1 I'm considering turning my Missy deck into a sacrifice deck using ashnod's altar, altar of dementia and Ashad the lone cyberman alongside The master, Gallifrey's end to turn the deaths of opposing creatures into what I need while exiling them.
Did you consider faerie artisans for fodder? It won't always give you fodder you can use, but will also give you incidental etbs and repeat chump blockers.
With how high the potential is for pop-off turns I'm surprised you don't have aetherflux reservoir and artifact cost reducers mentioned. The former keeps you alive and can be used as a game ending nuke, the latter, well. Makes your stuff even nuttier.
This deck looks like a blast, nice build! I do have a question though: I noticed that it is notably missing any of the "shimmer myr" types of cards that would allow you to trigger the commander's ability more times by doing so on other people's turns, what's the reasoning behind that decision?
If we went this route we’d definitely need more fodder for his ability. You’d definitely run out. My goal was to at least produce one source of fodder once per turn.
Hhm, I think the mana and ramp are fine. However, I think this list runs not enough token producer and the card draw is just ok. What can we swap in to produce more 2 power tokens?
Especially when according to the show the Daleks are SO much more powerful than the Cyberman. I remember the one Dalek saying "we would destroy 5 million Cybermen with one Dalek!"
Need more cards that produce either 2/2s or 1/1 and a way to buff. Also, does cyberman squadron and reaver titan work with myriad as I thought the tokens enter as vehicles? knight Paladin would be a better choice to make copies of since it's an etb.
As soon as you crew the vehicle it’ll become a creature so the myriad triggers will work. I would like to note two reaver titans can do 30 damage to a single opponent in one turn while also doing 10 damage to the other opponents it’s pretty solid compared to knight paladin. There’s also 13 pieces of fodder for our commander and ways to recur/copy it to get additional uses.
Oh I thought you didn’t think they’d get myriad. Yea you won’t get the attack trigger, but it is a massive 10/10 so without myriad it’s solid and with myriad we can just throw more damage round 😁
So correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't you need to mulligan really aggressively to find a creature that either makes something thats 2 power every turn from the list it seems like there are only about 5 creatures or so that you can reliably sac each turn.
@@decktechsfordecks ah I see now what do you think about adding orcish bowmasters and maybe sauron the dark lord for those amass triggers could maybe use them as fodder and wouldn't have any trouble finding the mana to get him out

Hell yea that’s awesome to hear!

Man, you make me want to build so many decks. Would love to see more sub $100 decks or budget options within your current builds.
I really like how many fun commanders there are in these Dr.Who decks :p
First time viewer. Great deck list. Looks like a lot of fun.
I’m glad you enjoyed!

Forget roaming throne! The casualty 'when you sacrifice' trigger belongs to the artifact you're casting and not Ashad

No problem glad to help!

Great choice for a decktech. Very cool. 👍
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed!
This deck looks like so much fun... right up until an opponent plays vandalblast.
I just finished building a Missy deck and thought I was done for a while. Guess I was wrong 😅 This deck looks busted! Great job 👏 👏👏
Thank you!

Lol having the issue of wanting to build this. But my Mishra, the eminent one walker deck is just so much fun too
that sounds really interesting. do you have a decklist online you’d be willing to share?
Did you consider faerie artisans for fodder? It won't always give you fodder you can use, but will also give you incidental etbs and repeat chump blockers.
That’s honestly a solid one! Definitely worth an include! I’m a fan of free value! 😁
I wonder how this deck would compare to an Anhelo, The Painter deck

If Casualty is a sacrifice trigger, wouldn't Ashnod the Uncaring also double it?

@@decktechsfordecks ah ok, that makes sense. thanks for the answer!
Any time! 😁
Feel like Breya is going to gave to make a 2023 comeback
100% Breya is a monster haha
Do you think Ruin Grinder would be in this deck?
Some cards i also think work well with this guy are og errant and drafna founder of lat nam
Cranial Plating needs to get added in here ASAP
Hhm, I think the mana and ramp are fine. However, I think this list runs not enough token producer and the card draw is just ok.

Zombies or necrons would probably be the easiest.
i built it a bit more on theme, producing cybermen and daleks
@@hollowoat I'm fairly sure Ashad would sell his soul to be turned into a Necron.^^
I am testing staff of nin right now, drawing 3 each turn and pinging for 2 seems good to me
I am saddened that it seems like the cybermen are stronger than the daleks
Especially when according to the show the Daleks are SO much more powerful than the Cyberman. I remember the one Dalek saying "we would destroy 5 million Cybermen with one Dalek!"
“This is not War, this is Pest Control!”

I thought that attacks is not the same as tapped and attacking and attack triggers that say " when it attacks" would not trigger with myriad.

If you go to the moxfield link and sort by tags I currently have 13 cards labeled as “trash” that are in the deck to feed his ability 😁
@@decktechsfordecks ah I see now what do you think about adding orcish bowmasters and maybe sauron the dark lord for those amass triggers could maybe use them as fodder and wouldn't have any trouble finding the mana to get him out
Those would 100% be good adds. I just excluded bow masters because I’m still struggling if that’s a casual card 😅
@@decktechsfordecks At $40 plus and with how cracked that effect is.... probably not casual.
Ggs ezzz 🍪🍪🍪
That’s insane 🤣
Who's got a deck list for this commander that just works? Anyone? Budget $400
