Dude, as someone who's researched this topic a lot over the years, it's incredible how thorough your video is. You're going to help so many home gyms get started with this video. Kudos!
Thank you. I wanted to cover everything. I re-did the gym in August and now it's even better. Longer, wider and with wall panels.
Brother do you have a video regarding the wall panels?@@MMACoach79
One important thing I forgot to mention in the video is that I got this price for 20m2 of panels due to an Italian supplier's error. They thought I was ordering 200m2 of panels, but when they saw their mistake, they didn't want to change the price. So it will probably be more expensive per square meter when ordering just a few panels. It's best to get quotes from your local suppliers and compare them to the rebounded sponge option to see which one works best for you.
Thank you for sharing this.
Very well done, most precise and informative. I need mats but the cost has been offputting, this looks affordable and do-able. Thank you for making this video.
You're welcome.
Svaka cast Marko.
Uskoro planiram da pocnem svoj home gym.
Tvoj video ce mi mnogo pomoci.
Hvala. :)
Thank you Coach, you are the best 👏
Very informative, thanks!
Great video man. Thank you.
Coming from you, that is a huge compliment. Thank you. The gym is now upgraded (wider, longer and new color vinyl).
Absolutely fantastic video!!! Thanks!!
Thank you.
Very nice instructional video. Thx
You're welcome.

Nice! Thanks man!
Incredible
Awesome video, thank you sir
No problem, glad you enjoyed it.
great video!
Thank you.
Awesome was just looking for this 👌
Thanks, I hope it will be useful to you.

@@MMACoach79 Also I think the density they suggested is fine because most sport mats go up to 30kg per cubic meter
This is great! But do you know any website that can send to Puerto Rico?
I’m looking to do something like this on top of rubber horse stall mats. I don’t need it for throws or MMA but something softer when doing sit ups, push-ups on the floor, etc. My area is mainly for boxing only
In that case, don't bother with this setup. Just get a yoga mat or a few puzzle interlocking mats.
Hello
We're these polyethylene or crosslink polyethylene panels?
Awesome video but I wish there were links where you ordered the names of place where you got your stuff for the cover and polyethylene
As I've mentioned in the video, the best is to Google the vinyl and foam manufacturers locally.

Hi MMA Coach, I have a question, if you can answer. I have a few 2x1 mats available but a very large area where I cannot leave the mats all the time. Do you know of any removable system to keep the mats together (like a frame, rim or other)? Thank you
You could try and jam wooden boards between the wall and mats throughout the length of the dojo.
@@MMACoach79 thanks so much for the suggestion, unfortunately it's a basketball field so I need to find a different way
@@emifuc1211 If the mats have anti-skid surface on the bottom, that is enough. Yes, the mats will come apart a bit during one session, but you can push them back together by hitting (mat on mat). I've trained like that for years.
Where did you get the vinyl?
Great question
Can we really practice MMA Alone with your MMA classes on your website ?
I would like to start learning , but i feel like i will bé able to train only with shadow boxing .
Of course not. You must have at least one partner.
hi. may i ask, what type of vinyl are you using? i searched vinyl on online shop in my country but the only thing appeared were album vinyl and wooden vinyl for flooring
I ordered 630g vinyl, and some people use 680g vinyl too.
I have two questions:
How much did it cost you overall to build it.
Is it suitable for heavy wrestling throws.
Good job trying to help some people out.
1. It says in the video (14:00).
2. Yes.
Thank you.
Hey, I got a 140 pound grappling dummy I'm suplexing/practicing throws on a mattress. Any suggestions on what I should get? I have around 8 feet long and about 6 feet wide of space.
A partner.
@@MMACoach79 lol, I was expecting this. I ended up getting 3 5x10 dollamur mats from a guy on marketplace. Got them extremely cheap too. My local company that sells polyethylene foam were way too overpriced.
Where can you purchase the 1 meter by 2 meter rebond foam?
Google it and see who offers it in your area.
🇷🇸 🇭🇷 🇺🇸 🇦🇱 🇮🇹 BRAVO ... thanks for the Great Ideas 👍.
Glad you like it.
Hi MMA Coach, this was very informative. Can you help guide with the type of vinyl cover? I think you mentioned 630g vinyl, but is there any type or source vendor you could help me with? Sincere thanks!
Yes, I used 630g vinyl, and people also use 680g. Can't help you with vendors as you have to search for them locally.
@@MMACoach79 Thanks. I'm just wondering if vinyl for covering jujitsu mats has any specific or technical names. Just searching for vinyl cover didn't help much.
@@solitaryangler I think it's just vinyl. Check out the Gracie mat making process video. They might have more answers: ua-cam.com/video/7N5GeuSMxmE/v-deo.html
@@MMACoach79 Thank you again!
Could I use tape instead of the wood?
To frame the mats? I don't believe so, but who knows?
hi coach can you give us the link for the italian supplier? Thank you very nice video
Here they are: www.eurofoam.com/en/products-en.html
thanks !! @@MMACoach79
Great video keep it up coach! I do have a question for you. I am opening up my jiu Jitsu school and wanted to use the vinyl cover. However, my concern is the vinyl mat would get too slippery when it gets sweaty in the gym and on the mats. I noticed you mentioned the vinyl covering is mainly used in Serbia. Is there any opinion on sweat and slipping on the mats when used for Muay Thai? Thank you!
Yes, it can get very slippery in the summer if people start sweating profusely and puddles start forming on the mat. But having a good ventilation system and/or air-conditioning will counteract that to a to a large degree or totally.
My vinyl cover has a slightly rougher side and a smoother side. I made a mistake placing the smoother side, but it's still all right as I coach privates in my gym. I've seen rougher vinyls than mine in other gyms in Belgrade, so I suggest you go and inspect the samples and see which one is best for you. You might find a rougher one than mine.
@@MMACoach79 Thanks for the reply! I really appreciate the information and your experience with this.
Pozdrav brate, koja firma uvozi to iz italije? Hvala 😊

@@MMACoach79 hvala puno 😄
Amazing video. That’s for the advice. Maybe I get the owner of the GYM I train in to give us the money needed so we can up the value of our Gym.
Thank you.
From who did you order?thx
From a local company that imports from the Italian company called Eurofoam: www.eurofoam.com/

Можете ли у коментару послати линк сајта преко кога сте купили полиетиленске плоче?
Такође, имате ли савет какве спецификације треба да испуне полиетиленске плоче које ће сутрадан бити намењене као подлога за џудо тренинге?

Polyethylene foam here in the UK is pretty expensive for 2 square meters 110£ minimum

is the wrestling mat from china cheaper?
Yes, but you have to take into account the shipping cost too.
